Anyone that would like to share the good, bad , or indifferent about the Starbucks on board the BLISS, I would love to hear about it.
Info on any coffee availability and or beverage services in general throughout the ship would appreciated. No comment to too off the wall. :D

I now recall we used Execucar a few years ago in L.A. going to Long Beach and had no trouble. We were contacted almost as soon as we landed and were instructed where to meet outside the baggage area... and sure enough, the guy pulled up and off we went. On the return from the port, we stood outside the terminal and were contacted almost immediately via text ...we then watched and spotted him in the distance as he pulled around and weaved through the traffic. While everyone else was fighting for a taxi and buses,we just jumped right in the vehicle and we were on our way. It's a good service. There may be occasional hic-cup for some people. Not everyone is going to be satisfied but for us we will try it again next month.
This may be a bit over thinking in planning, but if you arrange your ride right after your most recent billing cycle on your credit card has already passed, and you are then leaving within 30 days, and you do have a problem, you will have time to dispute the charge with the c/c company before you pay off. I would rather dispute through the c/c than the business. Hopefully this wont come into play but its a good chip to have in your back pocket.

Can someone explain "angled balcony". I think I know but just looking to be certain. We have cabin 9260 on an upcoming trip on the Bliss and it looks like it has one. Are they bigger?? Smaller?? ....Thanks for whoever has the answer.

If you are happy with your location, I think I would stay put. Unless the bathroom is the deal breaker I don't see the value since you have no idea where they are going to put you. If you are so so on your current location, then I would give it a go.

On the ship.....turn it off or you'll get one heck of a bill in a month. Trust me I had to beg them to remove most of my charges (close to $750) before I wised up years ago. The only reason I think they did it was because I am a 14 year customer.
Off the ship in every country or island it's free texting and .20 per minute calls under my plan.
Power it off or at least put into airplane mode and turn off the
wi-fi while onboard...or e$le, take your chances.

Anyone had any good luck on the bidding process for the October 5th Bliss cruise from L.A./San Pedro? If accepted what was your bid if you don't mind sharing?
-
That is correct, but you won't find a $5.00 drink. I'm guessing you used those numbers to make it easy.
You're on the right path though.
Yep....easy math to paint a picture.

46....Norwegian Bliss from L.A./ San Pedro

Anyone that has been on the Bliss that has/had a level 9 mid balcony room, I would appreciate your thoughts. Good location?
We're on it in October '18

So... if have 3, 5 dollar drinks with the 3 UBP on the Bliss next month before it leaves LA at 6% tax.... my total charge would be 90 cents if they choose to ring it up same day? Just trying to understand.

9am off the ship in San Pedro ...1:15 domestic flight? Are we good on a Saturday to make that out of LAX?
-
Is the ExecuCar option better than the standard SuperShuttle? Is it worth the extra cost?
-
No. No charge for that. There will be a limited breakfast menu that you fill out the night before and hang it on your door. You'll fill out a time that you'd like it delivered. Ask your cabin person if you don't see them. Sometimes there in the NCL info book in the desk. Some people tip the delivery person and some don't.
Also.....still can't determine through everyone's comments on NCL boards if the Starbucks will, or won't take a branded Starbucks gift card on the Bliss. Anyone who can 100% answer this would be appreciated.

Fantastic, thought the coffee makers meant the end of free room service just for coffee. That's the only time we use room service. Sounds identical to Princess system.....great to know, thanks!!!!:D

Is there a room service charge on NCL for only ordering coffee in the morning? Just coffee, cream, and sugar? We are first time NCL cruisers and only know Princess cruise policies.
-
That’s what I figured, just thought I would check. Was hoping even a plain black coffee would be covered :(

90 dollars a day for UBP and you can't get a cup of black coffee....Somebody explain that to me???????

Should have cancelled and got the refund. Service is embarrassing, plumbing, air conditioning, telephone, room service, refrigerator, has been an absolute atrocity. The only thing left is for the power to go out. The sad part is we still have 5 and a half days.
This can't be the same ship people were singing the praises of while stuck in the gulf last week. If this is their best....then about 2900 are in deep trouble. It can't come soon enough for Princess to start cruising in the summer months in the Caribbean. This will be the last Carnival cruise for us.

Thank you to the couple of cruisers who have responded. Two reviews isn't necessarily a true depiction, however it would be obvious which way to go based on the two.... Thanks Again

Anyone who has any experience with either or both of these companies to get to & from Houston Hobby to the Carnival Freedom Terminal One in Galveston...please come forward and leave your opinion. It would be much appreciated.

My Mom & I used Galveston Express shuttle. We were very happy with the service.
Try Galveston Express...They have a 15% discount if you use "EXPRESS" in the promo field and they also give a discount if you are over 55yrs old.
-
-
For September and August us EXPRESS for a 15% discount.
Fantastic.....not only that , I see they dropped their round trip price back to $50 p/p to and from Houston-Hobby. They must have realized they were losing a few customers to the competition.
-
Galveston Express has a "SUMMER" coupon code you can enter when booking online. It will give you a 20% discount.
This is true but it only goes for service through August 31st 2017.....September cruises right now are out of luck with this code.
-
Check out Galveston Limo. on line price was $40 each round trip when we booked for upcoming cruise.

JUST FYI.....their online rate just went $55 r/t per person from Hobby A/P. I founfd this out this morning (7/19/17) They said they now have to pay the port to be allowed in so they need to pass the expense to "you & me"

I am sure this may already be out there, but I can't find the answer.....Do they or do they not take Starbucks branded/ real plastic (not "e") "gift cards" as payment. I have about $50 worth but if they don't accept them I will leave them at home.
