  1. We actually live in Florida so I know that hotels can be more expensive since so many snowbirds like to travel here during the winter to escape the snow. :D

All we care about is just having a inside access hotel without having to pay hundreds of dollars just for a overnight stay when we are passing by just to board a cruise ship. We don't travel to south florida that offen so we were quite surprised that hotels are so much more expensive down there compared to Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando. We live in North Florida.

Someone suggested we try the Port st. Lucie area which is about 1 hour away.

We stay at the Fairfield Inn in Fort Pierce, which is about an hour away. We come from North Georgia. I hope this helps.

  2. I've read previously that if you pre-purchase, the drinks sticker is pre-printed on your sea pass whereas I know if you buy it when you board it's a sticker.

Not necessarily an advantage, unless the sticker comes off, then it could get a bit annoying having to get a new one if it kept happening (although from past experience, mine did stay put for the fortnight).

Enjoy your cruise, and your package whichever way you buy it :D

We pre-purchased and we still had a sticker on our card. We were disappointed but were glad we didn't have to wait in the long lines.

  3. I don't like the balconies that are right before or after that hump area. The people next to you will have a balcony that is starting to curve outward so it will feel less private because when they are standing at the railing they can look into your balcony. I wouldn't rule these rooms out totally, but I don't prefer them. For ex 8350, 8328, 9328

That's good to know. Thanks for posting. :)

  4. We were in Coz in May and my DH dove with Aldora Divers. He said he had a wonderful time and they are a top notch group. They were very accommodating in working out a dive trip to go with his ship time schedule. We are going back in November and he is in hopes of using them again. He has also done past dives with Scuba with Alison and enjoyed his dives with her. I don't know if either one of them do dive/snorkel trips but you could get hold of them and see what they say.

Did he prefer Aldora to Alison, since you said he's hoping to use Aldora again?

  5. Stayed there four times and have it book for before and after our next cruise. The grounds are really nice with ponds and waterfalls. There is an Italian restaurant on one side, a Mom and Pop restaurant on the other and a McDonald's across the street. There is also a go-kart track/mini golf course within walking distance. As others have mentioned, there is also a bar and restaurant on site.

Zachary's is the name of the Mom and Pop restaurant. We like to go there for breakfast the day of embarkation. :)

  6. Call them at 321-784-0000 and choose the option for shuttle reservations (5 I believe) and they'll add your name to the list.

How did you book the shuttle already? Was that an option on their website or did you call? Just curious because we reserved a room there with the Park N Cruise deal for July.
  7. I'd like to hear from people that have used them. Was it a good experience? Would you use them again?

We are thinking of using them in FLL because it's not valet only and they have optional covered parking.

    Thank you :)
