  1. Thanks for the email addresses. After a cruise I have always sent emails off to the president of whatever cruise line we were on. I point out the good things on the cruise, the names of people who provided us with good service. I don’t really trust the survey to get the people recognized. Also provide feed back on problems encountered as well as suggestions to perhaps improve the product. I have always received replies & occasionally a phone call from the President’s office. Alfred

  2. We tried using Valu Trips to book the Hyatt Place for Thursday November 17 & Friday November 18 with checkout on November 19 to head to our cruise. We received a reply yesterday that November 18-19,2022 Valu Trips are blacked out at the Hyatt Place Ft Lauderdale. In case any is trying or thinking about those dates. Alfred

  3. First time to try this website for booking hotel. Just wanted to make sure nobody has had cc compromised using this site. It appears that the price saving compared to hotel website is substantial. Looking at Hyatt Place since Embassy Suites reviews are not the greatest. It used to be our go to hotel in Fort Lauderdale. We stayed at Hyatt Place probably 10 years ago. Thanks. Alfred

  4. We were on the Regal Princess April 1-8. Upon our return home I sent an email to the President about a problem we had on the cruise. In this email I pointed out the good points about the cruise, the staff who we felt did a good job & then the problem. I received a phone call from a person in Customer Relations within 4 hours of my email. We were thanked for our email & gave some further info about the problem The individual then said he would get back to me after I forwarded some pictures of the problem. We heard back from him in a couple of days. We have never had a problem getting a reply whether we travelled with RCI, Celebrity & now a Princess. Alfred

  5. We were on the Regal Princess April 1 - 8 with an aft cabin D728 & had the soot problem as well. Identified it to cabin steward who did his best but it was a constant problem. Also identified it to Guest Relations & had a pair of shorts cleaned at no cost. From picture posted the problem appeared worse on our balcony. Soot was also on the floor of balcony so it got tracked into cabin. Alfred

  6. I have used a CPAP machine for a number of years & always carry it on the plane. I have a new one that I purchased the battery pack for so I can use it without the worry of an extension cord although I have one with me.

  7. Like I said earlier send you emails off to the President & let her know your displeasure. She is the one who should be hearing your concerns not Customer Relations. She is the one who can have the BOGO reimplemented if she gets enough complaints.

  8. lor74: It has been interesting following you on both cruises. I read with interest your summary of the cruises & how you found Princess. Have you forwarded your thoughts on to the President of Princess. I am really not sure how much info from the surveys done at the end of a cruise gets to the person at the top. I had sent an email to Jan Schwartz last week about the good service we had received from a rep on the phone when I called regarding *****. I heard back from someone in her office within a few hours. The only way you might see an improvement is for everyone to send her emails with the good points & bad points of their cruise. It would also be interesting to see how service was before Princess was sold. Thanks for the review. Alfred

  9. The problems were a variety from food quality to misinformation about where events were being held. Also poor experiences with guest relations. The big thing I think was they didn't want to lose loyal cruisers to the RCI brand & possibly Celebrity as well. I don't remember the cost but it was somewhere around $3500 Cdn.Alfred

  10. David: hope you can enjoy your cruise. If I were you I would send an email off to the President about your experience. We had a poor cruise with RCI in March of this year & fired off an email about our cruise. We heard from the President's office within 2 days. We gave good points of the cruise & the problems. We also had indicated we would probably not cruise with them again. We have cruised 6 times with them & 11 with Celebrity so we are loyal to one company. We were each given $250 US on board credit but had to be used in 2 years. If you do it quickly enough you might get some more OBC on this cruise. Alfred

  11. MTdreaming: I would like to inform you that statement about the Canadian preference for iced tea is what you in the US think of as instant tea is not true. There are many Canadians here that do not like Nestea but actually prefer brewing tea & letting it cool. I personally make my iced tea by going to Teavana & buying bulk loose tea & then brew it in a tall container. I have tried sweet tea & do not like it although we have friends south of the border who think it is great.

  12. No you don't have to attend one of the sessions. We are booked on our first cruise with Princess in April of 2018 & wanted to see what they had to offer. I also wanted an update on the Ocean Medallion.
