  1. We attended the presentation put on here in Winnipeg last night with regards to this sale. There was a rep from Princess there who did a presentation about all their ships, destinations, changes on ships, the Ocean Medallion as well as the perks of the Sale. She had an Ocean Medallion with her & explained its function. I asked her about whether or not people would be able to get the AIBP on the Medallion. She said that as of last week Princess said yes. The perks on this sale are better than what we have seen from Celebrity & RCI which are the cruise lines we have used previously. It is only available from this on TA. Alfred

  2. This sale starts June 8 to 10. It previously was a 1 day only sale. The presentation here in Winnipeg is Tuesday May 30th. Cindy Schell from Princess Cruise Lines will be giving an exclusive presentation. She will be discussing their hottest destinations, itineraries,as well as new ship enhancements & reveals. My wife & I are attending since we have our first Princess Cruise April 1,2018. I am looking forward to finding out more about the Ocean Medallion. Alfred

  3. I contacted Special needs & they will have an extension cord on our cabin on the March 31 sailing of the Navigator of the Seas. I just purchased a new CPAP machine & purchased a battery pack for it so if RCI forgets the extension cord I am okay. I always carry my machine on the plane & also on to the ship. 4. deladane: we fill out the survey as well but have found that by going to the top you sometimes get satisfaction. When we had to leave a Celebrity cruise due to family death we sent an email to the President about the excellent support we had received from the staff on board.. I received a phone call at wok from the president of Celebrity's office thanking us for our email.I got another call a short time later from the same lady & was told we would find a $700 OBC on our next cruise. This was for our thoughtful email as well as rebooking the same cruise itinerary that we had to leave.Last year we had a problem with a waiter in Select dining on our second last sea night. We went to guest relations about our concern. The maitre d came down & told us to see him next night. When we got back sent off email about the good points of the cruise, names of people who went out of their way to make our cruise enjoyable & problem with the waiter.Another phone call received thanking us for taking time to email. We discussed everything in the email & were then told we would be receiving an OBC for $100 on our next cruise. The lady we talked to said they welcomed all feedback.Try an email you might be suppressed at the results it can bring.Alfred

  5. deladane:interesting pictures & your review. We did the 10 night on the Equinox a couple of years ago.Have you contacted Celebrity about the problems with breakfast in the MDR? We have always tried to get a problem fixed on the ship but sometimes we have sent emails off to the President. We give the positive aspects of the cruise as well as any exceptional staff names but also our concerns & problems. We have always had a telephone call from the Presidents office thanking us for taking time to provide them with our opinions. In some cases they have even provided us with something for our next cruise. It could be a bottle of wine or even an OBC.You might want to try it & see what response you get. Can't wait for more. Thanks again.Alfred

  6. ArubaLisa: We have friends who regularly visit Aruba & recommended either the Old Fisherman or Driftwood as restaurants for us to try. We are looking for somewhere for lunch & close to cruise port & shopping. You opinion on these restaurants or others appreciated. Thanks.Alfred

  7. CeeCee59: We have flown through Vancouver to U.S. destinations & our luggage has gone straight through. You will be asked to identify your luggage on a monitor when you get to U.S. Customs. Our flights have usually been close together-2 to 3 hrs between flights so am guessing your luggage will be the same. You can can Westjet & they will tell you the procedure.Alfred

  8. We are looking at a cruise on the Insignia after 5 cruises on Royal Caribbean & 10 on Celebrity-4 on "S" class ships. Would like to know what people think of this ship & cruise line compared to Celebrity & their "S" Class ships. Thanks. Alfred

  9. mickeysgal: Having been in both categories of cabin & for only $40 per person I certainly would keep the 1A. Concierge perks to us just aren't worth it. The cabin itself is the same size as the 1A. Just my opinion for what it is worth. A few sheets of paper with your name on them, fruit platter -you can get fresh fruit in Ocean View Café every day. Bubbly wine we never drank.. Alfred

  10. We haven't received this e-mail however when we were on the Equinox in January we booked Tuscan Grille for dinner after we got on board for that night & received 20% discount-didn't reserve on line through Celebrity before hand.

  11. Kalinda: I have the FZ70 & I am impressed with it. I had the older 18x Panasonic. I looked at both but went with the longer zoom. I don't know if you know where the Embassy Suites on 17th st is in Ft Lauderdale or not. We were there in January before a cruise & the Liberty of the Seas was leaving port & I zoomed out to the ship & got pictures of people on the ship & then zoomed to the rear of the ship & was able to pull in the sign for the Flow rider & it is very clear. I am looking forward to taking it on our Alaskan cruise in May. Alfred

  12. LvBlueWater: If you are close to a Costco store pick up their insulated travel coffee containers they keep drinks cold & keep ice well. We have used them for a few years now on cruises to warm destinations & always travel with them. Alfred
