  1. My husband and I are interested in reserving a private bungalow for our upcoming visit. How do I reserve it online? Do I click on both of our names for 1 bungalow for a total of $459.98? Or do I just click on one of our names for a total of $229.99? I'm a bit confused since in the description, it states to order per bungalow, not per person. And that 1 ticket is valid for up to 4 people.

They really need to get their $h%# together.

Don't bother calling on the weekends. The odds are you'll get just as bad service.

A good agent or TA should be able to add your desired cabin into the 14 day inventory if it isn't already booked for one of the segments. If someone says they can't, don't waste your time trying to explain, ask for a supervisor, or hang up. If you still have problems, drop a line to the powers that be. They need to know about things like this.

Thank you for the info!! I will definitely try again next week!

If you are trying to book a 14 day cruise that is also sold as two 7 day sailings, you will not see all cabins available. If you see a specific cabin is available for both 7 day sailings and it's not showing up as being available for the 14 version, call Princess, or a TA. They can take care of it for you.

Well, listen to this.....I called Princess, and was told that if I wanted a specific cabin that was not showing up on the 14 day voyage BUT showing up as available for both 7 day legs, I would have to book them as back to back cruises. That price is $2200 MORE than the 14 day voyage!! This is for a Club Class Mini Suite (but same category, and just a few cabins away from the available 14 day cabin. It just has a larger veranda). I might try calling again next week and see if I get the same response.

  4. We have been waiting for Princess to release the voyages for the Caribbean for early 2024. They were released a few days ago, but when I go to make a simulated reservation, many of the ships show a VERY limited amount of cabins available. This can't be real, right? Why isn't Princess releasing all cabins when they release the voyages? This is the first time I've ever looked this far in advance, so am not sure if this is the way it is always done or not.

  5. We have always disliked lanyards, and I refuse to "buy" a necklace or bracelet to put the medallions in. I got a clip type holder from Amazon, search "EverAct Clip Holder".

This way, it can go in a pocket or clipped on a belt loop. Very unobtrusive.

I realize the focus of this thread is now on those that have accepted the change and are looking forward, but in case anyone who canceled and is wondering about a refund is still reading along, I called Celebrity to cancel on April 18th, and on April 25 I had my $500 deposit credited back to my credit card.  I hadn't even checked until this weekend as I never would have expected it that quickly.

We also cancelled and received our refund much sooner than expected. We had been told it could take up to 30 days, but it was actually only about a week.

Loyalty does not seem to even be a consideration at the moment.

I stuck it out and waited 67minutes on hold before I got someone who basically could have cared less.

Was sent the cancellation notice with the standard 30-45 days to receive the refund.

This is refund number 7 and transfer of funds number 10.

At this point I am willing to forfeit a very small FCC with them as I am tired of playing this game with them.

Its sad as Celebrity used to be our go to choice.

When I called to cancel yesterday, I was on hold for 35 minutes, only to be told I would need to talk to a "redeployment specialist". That was another 25 minutes of holding. I have such a sour taste in my mouth for Celebrity- funny thing is, we are seeing a ton of commercials for them recently! We have recently been cruising on Princess, and that's where our loyalty is going. "Bye Celebrity", from elite passengers, you've lost us!

I have given up and just cancelled and asked for a refund.

Selling the FV staterooms before those who had those rooms on the Millie were transferred over was the nail in the coffin.

Changed our 30th anniversary plans to something completely different.

I understand that ships and itineraries can change but how Celebrity is handling the transfers from the Millie to the Solstice is not acceptable.

We've decided to cancel as well. This waiting has gone on long enough. I've really almost lost my Celebrity loyalty. I tried to cancel yesterday, but was on hold for 30 minutes before I gave up. Will try again today.

Just checked and our ship now shows Solstice doing the Calif Coastal.  We have a similar balcony cabin.   We are doing a B2B but unable to get the same cabin.  That's OK - We're just

    happy to be going.

I am on the October 15 cruise and my transition has gone well, except would rather have been on a Revolutionized ship. Sending Solstice to the Caribbean was apparently not an option. Celebrity Solstice class ships cannot go through the Panama Canal. As discussed earlier, there is apparently a fit issue related to fitting under the Canal bridges.

We  are on the Oct. 15th also, and we are still on an "undefined" cruise with no cabin number.

We had a Celebrity Suite booked for Mexican Riviera and were also looking forward to the Retreat Sundeck and a modern room. In my opinion, the equivalent suite on the Solstice is simply not worth the same cruise fare.

We are feeling the same. We booked a Sky Suite on the bump so we had a large balcony, which we have had before on the Millie. We were very excited to experience the Retreat, which now I understand we won't have on the Solstice. Not sure if we are going to keep it, go down a category, or just cancel. Guess it depends on the cabin they assign to us. Does anyone have an idea of when that will be?

Whaaaat!?! Love that port - San Pedro is a very interesting area with lots of great Portuguese restrauants and so on…..just don’t go wandering around after dark!! And it’s just across the bridge to the Lovely, Lovely Long Beach…..well it was lovely when it had the Pike and that great roller coaster and saltwater pool (right next to the Pacific Ocean…which is a bit weird), and the live chicken with no head!! Great Stuff!

I know, nobody knows what I’m talking about……or cares.

    den

And once the old Ports O' Call area is renovated, it should be really nice. I know there's not much to look at, with all the shipping containers and their ships. Maybe that's why people aren't thrilled with it.

  12. We have cruised with both lines,  probably more cruises with Celebrity,  but most recently with Princess.  We feel they are very comparable.  Princess gets some nods, but so does Celebrity.  For us,  it depends on itineraries and embarkation/disembarkation ports. We live in So California,  so Princess was our go to for a few years.  Now Celebrity has the Millennium going out of San Pedro, so our next cruise is on her.
