Rent a golf cart and explore the small island on your own. we did that in March and had a blast. There is a free tram from the ship area into the town. there are hundreds and hundreds of golf carts to rent. I think it is the third stop that the tram makes. But just ask the driver. We drove around and stopped at a few conch stands (joe's and stuart's). Then made our way to a public beach that was just beautiful. There are several food and drink vendors at the public beach. I don't recall if there were bathrooms.

when we were there 2 weeks ago, we were told it was several years out.

Yesterday i was told by an NCL rep that you get unlimited apps, one entree and one dessert. He also
said that some dinners (e.g. surf and turf) require an extra fee.

We are thinking about doing the Geoff Caye excursion. This lookslike the only beach trip offered on our sailing. If we don’t snorkel, can we just hang out on the beach? Are there loungers, beach chairs, umbrellas etc , or just beach?
Goff's Caye was great. we were there last week while cruising on Apex. We were the only ship there that day so the island wasn't crowded. The island is small so if another ship was there i suppose it could get crowded. The snorkeling was great, beach and water were beautiful and lunch was great. There are some loungers but i am not sure if they are free. Didnt seem to be too many of them. a few umbrellas and some palm trees for shade.

We always order decoy Cabernet on our celebrity and rccl cruises it was definitely on summit a few weeks ago, as far as I can remember it’s been on all our celebrity cruises, but definitely supply chain issues all over.
Agree with you about the supply chain. But they list it on menus as being available and they display a bottle as you enter the restaurants or MDR, but when you ask for it, they say sorry not available. i am not a big fan of the Elegance and that is what they encourage you to drink. i suppose it's not the worse thing that could happen.

Decoy cab was not available on Apex last week. I was very disappointed.

On Apex's 3/5 cruise, we lost Grand Cayman as a port and Cozumel changed to 5:30 from 2:30 because we had a sea day after instead. If you're actually going to GC (probably not, based on this article mentioning that a Disney ship will be the first ship to return on 3/21), then 2:30 is correct.

Thanks so much. I appreciate your response. I have been keeping an eye on the Cayman Compass and we are definitely stopping in GC. We’ll have a great time no matter what time and wherever we end up. Thanks again. Happy cruising

Thanks I guess but I have been to Cozumel quite a few times and I enjoy it. There are two groups of people - those who like to stay on the ship and those who like to get off. I am in the latter group. Thanks again.

Just stay on the ship and don’t worry about it. Not much in Cozumel. Junk shops, and dive bars with everyone hassling you to look in their shop or buy something.
You have food and drinks on board
Was on the Apex last month and stoped there. Walked off the ship and was back on 1 hour later
No matter what time it leaves you won’t be spending much off of the ship. You will be back before 2:30
Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Apex sailing on 3/19. Paperwork and website say all on board at 2:30. App says 5:30. Which one is more reliable? Thanks in advance.

As a person who has never been on any cruise (1st one coming in July) I have read several of these tip threads and can never seem to figure out what to do. I was excited about having all gratuities included in my fare so I would not have to carry a bunch of cash around, but these boards make me feel like I might be being "cheap" if I don't tip extra at the Martini bar etc. Is tipping in specialty restaurants the norm or not? I'm very willing to tip people--I put myself through college waitressing. I just thought it was taken care of in that always included. Is it the norm to tip your masseuse? Or is it just the norm for the folks on these boards? What are the average balcony cabin dwellers doing? I feel like the wonderfully informative folks on these boards probably have more discretionary spending that I do! 😄
Very well said!!!!

This is so helpful. Thank you!

Does the magic carpet have a schedule or does it move up and down randomly? Thanks.

Thank you so much.

@brooker I looked up the zip code for Montgomery County PA . There are several CVSs that offer free "Rapid-result test (antigen)" These results are accepted by Celebrity Cruises. I see nine locations in your area. Hope this helps! CVS test are free FYI.
That's so nice of you. i did see were CVS offered a rapid result test, but it kind of scares me because it says " not accepted for all purposes". And also, what about the brand name of the test. That concerns me too. Can someone please set my mind at ease.
And also with regard to the results and my vaccination proof, does Celebrity accept the documents on a phone, or do we have to have a piece of paper in our hand as well as the actual vaccine card?

I am so confused. My local Walgreens has a Rapid Antigen Test (BinaxNOW). Is that acceptable?
Thanks in advance for clearing this up for me.
oops. i was wrong. Apparently that test is NOT available where i live.

Hi all. i must be missing something. But when i log into my celebrity account and don't see anything about this test kit. And i don't see it on the Healthy at Sea on Celebrity's website. All i see is we must be vaccinated and must show a negative Antigen or PCR test conducted within 2 days of embarkation. Thanks in advance for clearing this up for me.

Just received an email from Celebrity about my Nov 18 cruise - took away our stop Key West and are now stopping at Bimini. oh well!

For your first cruise on X I would suggest the Reflection in AQ. AQ may be a little more than CC but worth it as it gives access to the Persian Gardens and dining in Blu. I am also sure it is cheaper than the Edge
Then when on board book a future cruise on the Edge. It will give you some extra OBC maybe perks
This is my opinion and I am sure others will disagree.
Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
Thanks for these suggestions. This is not my first X cruise, probably my tenth. We made our decision to book Apex for our March cruise. We are on Summit in November. We have never booked a future cruise while on a cruise, but its probably something we should consider. Thanks. Happy cruisin'!
Land of Ice, Snow and Potholes - i love it and it sounds somewhat familiar - i am from Phila.

Price it out, you may be surprised, well not Apex, Edge, Beyond those prices right now are all simply ridiculous! The sale Celebrity is running now is pretty good. Good luck, I see a sunset veranda in your future!!
i will check it out. Thank you!

i would love a sunset veranda but i think it is over my budget. 😑
