No problem! Stay tuned, I'll be adding a bit more about onboard activities, entertainment and ports. Which ports do you have on your itinerary?
We are actually sailing for a total of 14 days- both Eastern & Western- our first back to back.

Hi Jam. Will you please if you can peak inside these cabins to see where the sofa (close to the door or close to the balcony) is because we are taking 2 scooters.
12398, 12414, and 12416
Thank you in advance.
Not sure if you know this or if you've already cruised Celebration, but if you look at the pdf of the decks on Carnival's website for this ship, 2nd page- the shaded cabins have the bed close to the door and state they do not fit a scooter. Hope this helps you.

This..pre-purchase Cheers, steakhouse, whatever you can and the on-board won't be much. People on the Facebook groups complaining their holds are $900 plus.
Sorry, I can't speak about the FB groups but I've never seen a $900 hold on my debit card with any cruise lines we've sailed with.
-
The answer is YES you can use a debit card. Yes I've used a debit card on 3 different lines NCL, Princess & Carnival- never had a problem. We do notify the bank(s) that we are going on vacation- dates and where we are going. We always have enough in our account(s) to cover our onboard costs - usually minimal since we prepay as much as we can and have been using some gift cards over the last few cruises with Carnival. Happy Sailing!

This all changed with Covid. I've cruised out of 3 ports since the restart and at all of them they had a kiosk where you pick up the scooter prior to going through the check-in/boarding process.
No need to assume, scooter in our cabin was pre-covid (my signature does show all sailings 🙃) and Celebration will be in April 2023 which as I stated would have pick up in the terminal. Happy Sailing!

Except in Alabama, apparently. I’m still fighting with Scootaround because they want me to disembark during my wedding to pick up my scooter.
At Port Everglades scooter was in our cabin. For Port of Miami (Celebration), we’ve been advised that scooter pick up is actually in the terminal prior to boarding and has to be returned to the terminal after disembarking.

We use QLS Transportation (always reliable). This coming up trip in April, it's $145 for 6 people (plus luggage-12 pieces) private shuttle from FLL Airport hotel (Springhill Suites, Dania Beach) to POM. Using them for our return from POM to FLL- same cost $145 for 6 people (plus luggage-12 pieces) private shuttle.

We use QLS Transportation (very reliable). We are a party of 6 using them from POM to FLL- cost is $145 private shuttle. We are also using them to get to POM from an airport hotel (Springhill Suites)- same cost $145- private shuttle.

We have a shuttle for 8 set up with QLS Transportation (very reliable). We've used them in the past for up to 17 people. They pick us up at our airport hotel in FLL (usually Springhill Suites Dania Beach) and have dropped us at both Port Everglades and Port of Miami. Our cost in April is $145 for 6 -private shuttle- charged to my card 24-48 hours before our date.

Thank you for the review, we are doing a back to back on Celebration in April and can't wait 😍

My sister will need to rent a scooter. Where have you all rented them? Does the rental company drop it off at the cruise terminal? Any information will be extremely helpful. TYIA
Scootaround is the most used rental scooter company. They have the scooter in your cabin when you board.

I have now sent evidence to Carnival. Any idea how long it takes to hear back?
34 minutes ago, Woody14 said:In July it took about 2 weeks for me. But I have heard anywhere from a couple of days to nearly a month.
What is the best way to send the evidence- email, fax or snail mail?

This might be a silly question but what is the best why to submit the documentation to Carnival for the stockholder OBC? This is our first time doing it, just purchased the 100 shares via Robinhood. I read the pdf on submitting and it states you can submit via email, mail or fax but also states if you send via email you accept the risk that it might not be a secure transmission.
thanks in advance for your input.
Happy Sailing!

I got obc for a drop in price. If I do not use it will I get a refund at the end of the cruise?
Thank you
Unfortunately, "the onboard credit is non-refundable, non-transferable and has no cash value. Any unused portion of the onboard credit will be forfeited."- I took this from Carnival's website here https://www.carnival.com/legal/specials-terms-conditions.aspx

LPYRCRUISER , thank you for your honest review. We board Magic next month (different itinerary 8 days instead of 6).
We've cruised Princess - very laid back- this is not the fun ship cruise line. With that said, we enjoyed ourselves- food is very subjective as is how you receive the entertainment - a vacation (land or sea) is what you make of it.

Am I able to use a Carnival gift card on board or do I have to transfer it to my S&S account?
If I have to transfer the card, do I just go to GS?
You can also apply the gift card to your sign & sail at the kiosks- if the guest service line is too long.

Does Carnival allow you to carry your own bags and "walk" off on your own instead of leaving bags out the night before and getting an assigned debarkation time? We always carry our own bags and walk of very early on RCCL and Celebrity.
Yes you do self-assist and the info regarding this will be in your cabin the night before. They usually call for self assist people around 6-7am.

If you don't want to do it on board you can use it to buy cruise cash.
my understanding on cruise cash, it's a use it of lose it situation, correct?
But with a Carnival e-gift or gift card if the balance left is more than $10, Carnival returns this to you in the form of a new gift card.
….just something to consider.....

I received a Carnival E-Gift card from my daughter after doing some work at her home. I had to print it out. My question is can i apply it to my May sailing (all ready fully paid) on line or do i just bring it to the Service desk after we board. I assume the gift card would just be used to reduce our total cruise bill first.
Thanks
Correct-you apply it once on board, either via Guest Services or the kiosk, and it will be used first -after any onboard credits you might have to reduce your total cruise bill.
Enjoy your cruise!

this is how it was on Vista but I've read other ships are now converting to the free Carnival HUB app as the means to make a reservation for Anytime Dining.

sprint180 thank you for sharing your experiences on Magic with us and what great family pics you all took.

Got it. You will choose being thoughtless to your neighbors, regardless. 😐tomato or tomatoe- thank you baby jesus-your opinion on what I do or don't doesn't matter- pay all my bills and you'll have a say that truly matters.
I know who I am- I'm a thoughtful and courteous cruiser who happens to enjoy listening to a little smooth jazz in the evening with my husband on the balcony I paid to use for the time period we are on the ship.

Hotel recommendations in Fort Lauderdale for large group
in Florida Departures

We've used Springhill Suites Dania Beach (it's an airport hotel) with free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Party of 17 on our last cruise. We used QLS Transportation (private shuttle) for transport to the port the next day. We've had them take us to both Port Everglades & Port of Miami. We are staying her again next month and using QLS again.
