Hi Jam. Will you please if you can peak inside these cabins to see where the sofa (close to the door or close to the balcony) is because we are taking 2 scooters.

    12398, 12414, and 12416

    Thank you in advance.

Not sure if you know this or if you've already cruised Celebration, but if you look at the pdf of the decks on Carnival's website for this ship, 2nd page- the shaded cabins have the bed close to the door and state they do not fit a scooter. Hope this helps you.

This..pre-purchase Cheers, steakhouse, whatever you can and the on-board won't be much. People on the Facebook groups complaining their holds are $900 plus.

Sorry, I can't speak about the FB groups but I've never seen a $900 hold on my debit card with any cruise lines we've sailed with.

  3. The answer is YES you can use a debit card. Yes I've used a debit card on 3 different lines NCL, Princess & Carnival- never had a problem. We do notify the bank(s) that we are going on vacation- dates and where we are going. We always have enough in our account(s) to cover our onboard costs - usually minimal since we prepay as much as we can and have been using some gift cards over the last few cruises with Carnival. Happy Sailing!

This all changed with Covid.  I've cruised out of 3 ports since the restart and at all of them they had a kiosk where you pick up the scooter prior to going through the check-in/boarding process.

No need to assume, scooter in our cabin was pre-covid (my signature does show all sailings 🙃) and Celebration will be in April 2023 which as I stated would have pick up in the terminal. Happy Sailing!

Except in Alabama, apparently. I’m still fighting with Scootaround because they want me to disembark during my wedding to pick up my scooter.

At Port Everglades scooter was in our cabin. For Port of Miami (Celebration), we’ve been advised that scooter pick up is actually in the terminal prior to boarding and has to be returned to the terminal after disembarking.

  6. We have a shuttle for 8 set up with QLS Transportation (very reliable). We've used them in the past for up to 17 people. They pick us up at our airport hotel in FLL (usually Springhill Suites Dania Beach) and have dropped us at both Port Everglades and Port of Miami. Our cost in April is $145 for 6 -private shuttle- charged to my card 24-48 hours before our date.

My sister will need to rent a scooter.  Where have you all rented them?  Does the rental company drop it off at the cruise terminal?  Any information will be extremely helpful.  TYIA

Scootaround is the most used rental scooter company. They have the scooter in your cabin when you board.

I have now sent evidence to Carnival. Any idea how long it takes to hear back?

In July it took about 2 weeks for me.   But I have heard anywhere from a couple of days to nearly a month.

What is the best way to send the evidence- email, fax or snail mail?

  9. This might be a silly question but what is the best why to submit the documentation to Carnival for the stockholder OBC? This is our first time doing it, just purchased the 100 shares via Robinhood. I read the pdf on submitting and it states you can submit via email, mail or fax but also states if you send via email you accept the risk that it might not be a secure transmission.

thanks in advance for your input.

    Happy Sailing!

Am I able to use a Carnival gift card on board or do I have to transfer it to my S&S account?

If I have to transfer the card, do I just go to GS?

You can also apply the gift card to your sign & sail at the kiosks- if the guest service line is too long.

Does Carnival allow you to carry your own bags and "walk" off on your own instead of leaving bags out the night before and getting an assigned debarkation time?  We always carry our own bags and walk of very early on RCCL and Celebrity.

Yes you do self-assist and the info regarding this will be in your cabin the night before. They usually call for self assist people around 6-7am.

If you don't want to do it on board you can use it to buy cruise cash.

my understanding on cruise cash, it's a use it of lose it situation, correct?

But with a Carnival e-gift or gift card if the balance left is more than $10, Carnival returns this to you in the form of a new gift card.

    ….just something to consider.....

I received a Carnival E-Gift card from my daughter after doing some work at her home. I had to print it out. My question is can i apply it to my May sailing (all ready fully paid) on line or do i just bring it to the Service desk after we board.  I assume the gift card would just be used to reduce our total cruise bill first.

    Thanks

Correct-you apply it once on board, either via Guest Services or the kiosk, and it will be used first -after any onboard credits you might have to reduce your total cruise bill.

    Enjoy your cruise!

Got it.  You will choose being thoughtless to your neighbors, regardless.  😐

tomato or tomatoe- thank you baby jesus-your opinion on what I do or don't doesn't matter- pay all my bills and you'll have a say that truly matters.

I know who I am- I'm a thoughtful and courteous cruiser who happens to enjoy listening to a little smooth jazz in the evening with my husband on the balcony I paid to use for the time period we are on the ship.
