Regarding the tablecloths, there's been some speculation on this forum that the Liberty's tabletops weren't replaced in time for the new menu roll out. Did you hear any explanations about the use of cloths every night or the lack of carafes on the table for that matter?

We enjoy the ports we choose to sail to far too much to consider this an option. In fact when we book a cruise with an overnight stay in port we spend the night ashore, e.g. at Puerto Vallarta we head for La Jolla de Mismaloya and stay the night at the resort. This helps to break up the cruise mid-way and gives us more time to enjoy Mexico.

no one cared for the cheesecake at all. From my educated guess it's loaded with gelatin and/or stabilizers. Even the head chef, who came out and chatted with us, said that many people don't care for it
Others have shared this same information where the chef says people don't care for the cheesecake. I would think with this negative feedback the chefs would pass the word up the line and request either a better cheesecake recipe or a different dessert.
Fortunately we've always been too full after the tasty dinner to have a dessert.

No one under 18 is allowed in Serenity.
It's 21 and up for Serenity Area, not 18.
-
I'm going to stay out of the casino.
-
Carnival Has Beens would be a more apt name for this roll out.

Is Fox News going to cover this live. They have before.
Only if Mickey pays off Rupert Murdoch.

Ugh, is that what they fly? A Lear? In corporate flying world, that's like a Pinto!
Carnival is the budget line ;)
-
D.J. Irie flew in with Micky Arinson for the press conference/announcement.
Flew in? The corporate Lear hasn't touched down at Teterboro yet.

For what it's worth, Carnival just started following Jennifer Hudson on Instagram a few days ago.
Coincidental?
Jennifer is the spokesperson for Weight Watchers. That doesn't sound cruise related to me

I'm wondering if I should be watching Facebook for the announcement or stay right here to learn why it's bad for us?
Broadway on Carnival!! will be announced, a revue of the most popular shows of Broadway with a Carnival twist. Cats will tie in with the new Dr Seuss characters and Les Miserables will tell the story of the results of the new MDR menus. ;)

Of course not.
Thanks for clarifying however the question was asked specific to the Inspiration and this caused the confusion.

Will the pools be heated at all on the carnival inspiration this time of year? Or should we expect to tell the kids it's freezing forget it? Every cruise I've been on has warm water. But it seems like people are suggesting otherwise
The air temps have been very warm here in Cali but in the winter we always find the Inspiration's pools to be cold and the "hot" tubs to be as warm as we would expect the pool temperature to be. But you have kids and sometimes kids can handle cold pools better than the big kids. Have fun!

I found the water to be unheated but fine...if a little chilly as we were sailing round the Baltics.
You sailed the Inspiration in the Baltics?

Ask your partner to pony up the $600 difference and he can have a balcony. ;)

groups? MY experience (pretty extensive LOL) - fixed is the way to go
There are 46 of us confirmed for YTD and we're just going to show up at the same time and let the staff seat us as best they can.

Take a jacket with you
Good one! :)
That's what they said on the Titanic too.

Not if the suitcase is too big to fit through the scanner.
Are you talking about a scanning system different than all the posts above that reference the scanner?

At the end of my last cruise, I owed a little over $2.00. My mother had an upset stomach and I bought her a ginger ale. They lose money on me.
You must have pre-paid tips or....

Kaz you are missing that you have to pay the higher cost of the excursion from Carnival and work that into the %110 savings .. 100% of that savings goes into paying the difference in the excursion cost in reality you are getting 10% at the end for OBC
I'm glad you asked this by starting this thread.
Sorry to drift but I've always been curious, what does your screen name mean?
Thanks

As far as I know, Thing 1 and Thing 2 are identical twins.
Please read prior posts :D

No. You can always go get it though and take it back to the room.
Are you saying that the answer is still no?

I just got off and will post menus ( old) and Funtimes within a few days
That's great news, many of us are interested. Did your cruise include two nights in Cabo or PV? Do you know yet if you will pick up on this thread or begin a new thread? I don't want to miss out!
Thanks in advance! :)
adult only pool
in Carnival Cruise Lines

To clarify again the OP is asking about the Pride. The Serenity Area on the spirit class of ships is 21 and up only and there are no venues for food in Serenity and there is a pool for adults located within the Serenity Area on spirit class vessels. Hence, on the Pride it would be particularly egregious to bring a child under 21 in any circumstances.
