Just off the Glory this morning (Dec.22). Still in the airport because our connecting flight was cancelled. We enjoyed the cruise and had fantastic service. The new menu needs work, but we didn't go hungry. We spoke to the maitre d' about our opinions. He was checking in with lots of guests each night to get feedback. We had anytime dining, and we thought dinner took longer than usual, which could just be a learning curve, but it did seem to us that the servers have to work harder just by the way it is all set up. I will be writing a full review later but thought I would make myself useful while waiting on our next flight. Oh, one more thing: we enjoyed cruise director Matt and thought he did a great job. Sometimes we don't even know who the cruise director is, but Matt was out and about and very visible.

We are cruising to the Bahamas, Freeport and Key West next September and early October. What is the weather temp generally like? What about at night on the ship? Long sleeves or short sleeves?

many of my cruises were in sept, oct...we only wore short sleeves, but being from canada maybe thats why we thought it was nice..lol

we booked the glory just because of the new menus.

it was a toss up between 2 ships, but when we heard about the new menus we decided as a group to book the glory

Thanks - I see you have been on her before - is it a nice ship. I've been on the Liberty twice - I think Splendor is bigger. How is the rotisseree?

the rotisseree was very good ..the mac and cheese was my g/f's fav

i really like the chicken too

you will like it..

when we went there was never a line either

So I ended up closing the piano bar again. Think I went to Beauties disco as well then grabbed a pizza and got to bed around 2. TUES Morning we woke up to calmer seas, grey skies, but it wasnt long before the sun came out and it was a beautiful day.

 

 

 

DID I MENTION I WON 1000 DOLLARS ON THE TOWER OF CASH GAME IN THE CASINO THIS DAY? I was pretty excted.

seeing what they did at hmc, makes me wonder

I always said that HMC was my fav stop.

it's going to be my gf's first time there on our next cruise..and I am building it up..not not so sure..lol

when we were in st thomas we went to saphire beach..the beach was like little rocks not really sand.

the beach you went to is it sand or little rocks?

they have an electronic poker table,

anyone can start a game at anytime the casino is open and no tourny going on

the games are $1 / $2 no limit buy in's

if enough people sign up they can have a tourny

I know there is a different way of paying or collecting your winnings, but cant remember, I played just a few hands when everyone decided to quit for the night.....I cashed out to my sign/sail card, then tried to use it in a slot and it didn't show anything....had to go to the cage for some reason....can someone explain the buyin and the cash-out better?

what you do , you set up a players bank on your sail and sign card,you do this right at the table, you then can transfer funds from your sail and sign card over to your bank, this players bank is only used to play poker on the table.

to cash out your bank you have to goto the the casino cage and they can cash you out.

you have to cash out on or before the last night cage closes
