Loved the Silhouette. Was on in December and going back in October. It was one of our best cruises, having done the 3 S class before her.

The only things worth it to me in CC are:

extra point

better bedding and extra large bath towels

foot stools

If you don't like white bubbly you can usually change it for red

Can someone tell me who the Captain is that concludes his messages with "out," or sometimes "Greek and out." My wife and I sailed with him on the Solstice and thought he was great. Is he still sailing?

Yes just sailed with him on the silhouette in November. It is captain demitrios kafzetis

Deck - 11

Cabin # 1591 Aqua Class A1

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin : Yes

Only problem was 7:30 AM when they moved deck chairs above

Balcony View - no obstruction, but could not see all thee way to the back due to the hump portion

Balcony Size? Normal with foot rests

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? Cabin steward etc. were great

Any other comments? The overhang did not get in the way at all. When it was sunny the sun still came down on the balcony

Anyone know where Bryan Cooper is these days?....another great guy. He was Guest Relations manager on the Equinox and Eclipse

I'm hoping she switches over to Silhouette by December (Never hurts to hope), she was the one that actually showed me pictures of Silhouette right after it was put in service, that sparked my interest in it.

 

I few months back I had wished her a Happy Birthday via Facebook, and mentioned to her that I would be on transatlantic in December, so I'm hoping she makes the hop from Equinox/Solstice

IF you hear of it happening, please post it on our roll call..... it's possible, I will be even more excited to get on that ship than I already am....

I know she has been on Solstice this year quite a bit, I think she's on her off time now. My wishful thinking is her next ship will be Silhouette by December, of all the hotel directors she's in my top two favorites, not only for the charming personality, but she knows how to run a top tier operation.

Me too !!!!! When we were on the Equinox with her, all the staff was always so happy. They claimed she was the best to work with. Can we start a campaign to get her on for December LOL

What ever happened to Niina H, she was the Hotel Diector on the Equinox. Where is she now?

Happy Anniversary tomorrow. What a wonderful way to spend such a special day !

I don't who will be sorrier when your cruise is over. I am so enjoying watching your comments and videos.

One question. What is the music called .I was on a Proncess ship out of Venice and they played this piece and there was not a dry eye on the ship on the sailaway .

When we were on the Summit out of Venice, they played the same one "It's time to Say Goodbye" by Andrea Bocelli. Quite a few people including me were very teary eyed. It was the greatest sailaway of any cruise we have ever taken.
