  1. Just a note to add, that you do need to reserve the clamshells (if this is what you decide you want) for our Dec cruise they are already waitlisted. They are said to be hot and mainly seem to keep the direct sun off you. For your husband's comfort, as well as your own, you may want to foloow the advice given on the Cabanas.

  2. Thanks for the reply.

I was wondering if that cookie was any good. Now I will have to make it in 11 days. I looked at the recipe and all I need to find is Almond Paste & Flaxseed Oil. Not sure where Almond Paste is found in my stores.

The first 3 days were the hardest (major withdrawal) but now I am better at planning my meals.

If you have a Health food store in your area they should have it. You can always order online too. Good Luck to you!

  3. I have one I can send to you, as the one by the Dr. seems to be just selling stuff. I have one that is people who are actually on this and answers questions, has support as well as recipes. EMAIL me at terkatz at yahoo dot com and I will e mail the link to you.

  4. Thanks Lisa for the info. The diet I am finishing up REALLY restricted the sugar and carbs, basically none for 6 weeks (except minimal natural*fruit* sugars) So that is why I am wondering about the induction phase.

I am looking at Atkins for a maintenance, as well as getting the last 15 pounds off.

  5. Hi,

I am considering Atkins and have a question. My book is on it's way and I find the website a little confusing. I had been on another diet and lost 35 pounds. I would like to lose 15 more pounds over time and not be on such a rigid food protocol. I like the menus Atkins allow and it seems pretty easy to follow. My understanding is that if you have 15 pounds or less to lose, that you should do (OWL) ongoing weight loss. Do you count calories as well as grams of carbs?

On the web site, the BMI I took said that I should do the induction, but realistically, I cannot see taking off another 30 pounds to fit into their ideal weight.

Thank you for any info you can provide.
