  1. Cruise critic m n g was on saturday, was nice. Cloudy and rainy upon Bermuda arrival, but it was warm!! We decided to take our chances at Horseshoe Bay beach. Walked over to shuttle and waited know 10 to 15 minutes to fill up. We were sitting on beach by 1230. Water was beautiful and we went in a couple of times. It remained mostly overcast which was good for it would have been too hot. We stayed 2 hours and Took shuttle back, again, not waiting long to fill up. Monday did same thing, shuttle to beach, although this time rented 2 chairs . Again, cloudy and sprinkled a little but still a great day. Tuesday walked around the Dock yard and did a little shopping. Went to latitudes cocktail party. Wasn't too crowded, officers all there. Was able to hang out at pool on Wednesday. Thursday was beautiful day in Bar Harbor. We did the 2.5 hour tour and enjoyed it. We are definitely planning on returning there again soon. Enjoyed the slots at night, Ended up breaking even, which is always a win in my book. Walked off ship around 9 with our luggage. Shuttle driver there, again, so easy. All in all a good trip. Stayed in all weekend, hubby started feeling bad, cough, cold. He texted negative on tuesday. I started on Wednesday and we were positive on Thursday. First time covid for us!!!!!!!!. Our cough is the worst part but we really aren't too bad. Testing again later today!!
  2. Hey there, wanted to share some thoughts on our cruise. Drive to Boston from Cape cod very easy. Had reserved parking on fargo street. Shuttle arrived soon and took us to ship. dh went to check in suitcase while I waited in line. Embarkation went smooth and we went to our muster station as soon as we boarded, easy peasy. We waited 10 minutes at O'sheehans and service was very good. Had wings and a ruebin, tasty, hubby did not care for his fish and chips. This was our first cruise since covid, our 6th to Bermuda, and it had been awhile since cruising on ncl. Cabins were ready around 3?? We had an inside cabin deck 10. At first I was surprised at how small cabin was but it was fine and had plenty of storage. Ate at buffet for dinner, all was good. Went to show with singers and dancers, we thought it was fair. During the trip we ate in both dining rooms, and buffet one other time. Had sirloin twice, very salty and tough. I thought portions were small and the food fair. Service was very good through out. Breakfast was always in buffet and except for the corn beef hash was very good. Never had to wait for table and line for omelettes went fast. Also never had to wait for table for dinner.
  3. So happy I found this thread! We are thinking of doing the south American cruise in February. Hubby likes 2667 or 2671. We like a quiet cabin and usually book insides. He had said they were category K. But looking at other sites I see they are a L. Then I see your comments Ruth, and I remembered you like the J cabins on the main deck. Going to see if that is available but if not does anybody know anything about the other cabins I mentioned?? Thank you!!!
  4. Only had a connecting cabin once, never again. Person next to us was constantly coughing and by the end of the cruise so was I. This of course was pre covid. We always book our own cabin, and look for cabins above and below us. Also would never book a guarantee cabin again. Just my two cents!
  5. I have had the Keratin treatment with cut and blowout twice onboard. I believe it was 147.00 plus tip. Last time being beginning January 2020. Loved it both times.
  6. So this is so weird. We are going to Bermuda in May, not November!!! But the email says November!! Went on my account to make sure, and yes, it's May!! So confused.
  7. What do you folks mean by minimum bid? I got email yesterday about chance to upgrade from inside to a balcony from 125 per person. Is that the minimum bid? This is for the Pearl to to Bermuda in November. Also it would be taking a chance on a less than desirable location, right? Thanks for any advice
  8. Op, we too are deck 5 midship on the NS in January. Please come back and let us know how cabin was!!!!
  9. So hvng recently booked with royal after long absence I see I have 22 points but I am at platinum. Is that because of my celebrity cruises? Thanks
  10. So I booked a transatlantic with this sale. Went to pay credit card this morning and charges are pending for full amount of cruise!!!!! Went on Holland account and shows cruise paid off, no balance. Called them and was told I have to speak with accounting tomorrow. Dh wants me to dispute charge with credit card company. I think I should wait and speak to accounting tomorrow. What think??
  11. Favorite is every day risIng before dawn, getting coffee and going up to see the sun rise, even if we have a balcony. Hate chair hogs at pool and at theater!!!
  12. We were on the eurodam to Tahiti for our 40th and the kids surprised us with a vow renewal package. It was so unexpected and wonderful. There were 2 other couples and we said our vows last as we had been married the longest. There were hors d'oeuvres,, champagne, even our own individual cakes. Of course I cried reciting my vows, just as I did 40 years before!
  13. Hey folks, looking to book inside spa cabin 10008 ,all the way forward.we hv cabin above us but gym below. Any info or thoughts? We are looking at the 21 day cruise in January, and there are not many inside cabins left( that we would choose). Also spa is 3 doors down but think that would be fine. Also don't really understand perks? Thank you my friends
