Hi,  my family and I are cruising for the first time from Florida (only done European cruises up to now), flying in to MCO on Saturday with the cruise leaving Port Canaveral on Sunday.  For the overnight we have booked Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Port Canaveral which looks very close to the port.

Is anyone able to advise whether it is standard for hotels in the area, or better still if anyone knows for this particular hotel, to provide shuttle services to the ship on departure days or will we need to arrange our own transfer for the morning?  I've tried contacting the hotel but they're not proving to be very responsive unfortunately.

    Many thanks.

Question. How are you getting to your hotel from the airport?

Did you contact the actual insurance company?

Royal acts as a agent for the insurance company.  Royal does not insure you.

Yes. Twice. And emailed per AON’s(that’s the insurance company Royal uses) instructions. I was told from an agent that they’re ‘contacting Royal Caribbean’ to verify, which they have my booking ID of the canceled January Jewel cruise.

If I cancel my cruise and am issued a FCC, will I be refunded the cost of RCL insurance?

Royal Caribbean canceled our Jewel cruise and we were not refunded the RCL insurance, which angered me because they were the ones that canceled our cruise.

  4. We were booked on one of the canceled Jewel cruises. Everything but the insurance was refunded/FCC except for the Vacation Protection Plan Insurance. Called RC and they do not handle it, gave me a link to submit a claim. After submitting booking ID/date said our info couldn’t be found. When RC canceled this cruise we were originally told that the insurance would be refunded. I’m totally confused as to why it isn’t refunded on a cruise I did not cancel. Help.

We will be researching our options after the first of the year.  Ideally, if we can find one shuttle service that will pick up at two different Orlando hotels and then take us to the port, then the whole family could travel together to get on the ship.  But, we still need to finalize who is staying where.  I think those with younger children want to stay on Disney property.

Keep me updated on what you find out too!
