...The debark excursion description will let you know the earliest flight you can book. As Maggie777 said, you can then tell EZAir when searching to only show you flights departing after that time.

That helps, thank you.  I didn't realize EZair gave you choices of flight times.

So are we thinking I should book air first, THEN book the excursion?

I'm still confused on the transfers.  Do I purchase transfers AND the excursion?

  2. This special note on the excursion description is what is confusing me a bit.

It talks about having transfers AND purchasing the excursion.  (BTW, it IS listed as a debarkation excursion)

It also talks about booking a "customized" flight.

It makes it look like you would need to have EZair booked BEFORE booking the excursion.   It also mentions doing all this onboard ??  I'm just so confused!

Again, EZair isn't yet available to us, as we're 12 months out.  It's just that I want to know what to do once it becomes available.

I've cruised with Princess before, but the most recent was 12 years ago, and procedures were different then.

    Thanks for your contuined help!

  3. Ok, I'm sure this has been covered numerous times before.  I did search, but apparently did not use the correct search terms.

We want to do an excursion in Barcelona on debarkation day.  How do we ensure that we get a later flight time through EZair?  (which is not yet available, as we are 12 months out)

Would we need to also purchase transfers, or is that automatic within the excursion booking?

  4. Please don't jump on me for not searching for this answer before posting, because I did.  Thanks for your grace.

As a teacher (myself) and a school bus driver (hubby),  we have Summers off.  We live near Seattle, and would love to take a cruise to Alaska.

My question is, (probably not, but I'll ask anyway) do they still let you show up the day of departure and snap up an unsold cabin for cheap?

If not, what is the cutoff for booking?  Can we get a cheap cabin by booking, say, 3 days before departure?   Call or online?

We can go any week from mid-June to late August.  Our "budget" is practically nothing LOL.

    Help?  Advice?  TIA

  5. Where did you find this??? We had no problems purchasing & using these last year in November.............BUT you do have to gamble them...you cannot cash them out...............in other words you can't put your card in...then cash it out to get the money.........they are to be used as slot play. What do they get out of it??? Well, they know you are going to gamble the entire amount....not just the $25 they give you but the $25 you spent for the free $25.

Purchase a Slot Play Coupon at SlotPlayCoupons.com

You can print your coupon online immediately after your purchase.

Take the coupon to the sponsoring casino.

When you get to the casino, go to the player's club and tell them that you want to redeem your Slot Play Coupon that you bought at SlotPlayCoupons.com. If you are already a member of the casinos player's club, great! If not, you will need to join (player's club membership is always free). Then simply show the coupon code to the player's club staff member and ask them to credit your account.

The casino will then contact us to make sure that your coupon is valid (this only takes a minute).

Once approved, the casino will credit the Slot Play amount you purchased to your player's club account.

You can then insert your player's club card in any slot machine (or machines) at the casino and download the credits to begin playing.

As a condition of purchase, "SPC" requires your permission to send you administrative and promotional emails. Yes, thank you. I might not have been clear in my earlier question. I know HOW the card works, I am just wondering about the "terms and conditions" that I quoted. I don't want to find out later that they have charged an automatic renewal of the "subscription fees", as it states in condition #5.

Where I found it was -- I went through the entire process on the website http://slotplaycoupons.com/default.php?destination=Norwegian+Cruise+Line of selecting a ship name (Jewel), putting in mine and my husband's names and ages, placing the ordered items in my cart, and then "checking out". I did not enter any credit card information, because it was at this point when I saw the little tiny link to "terms and conditions", from which I quoted #4 and #5 above.

That's all. I do understand how the card works once you're on the ship. Just being cautious and skeptical I guess. ;)

  6. Old thread, I realize that. I have a question.

I went to the site where you pay $25 and get $50 worth of credits. http://slotplaycoupons.com/default.php?destination=Norwegian+Cruise+Line I read the terms and conditions, and it talks about how they can AUTOMATICALLY charge your credit/debit card for "subscription fees". Here... let me just paste it:

    4. Payment / Fee

Sites may have periodic subscription fees that are defined by the owners of the site at the time of the initial enrollment for subscription. The member is responsible for such fees according to the terms of the site. Once a member has the ability to access the site using the e-ticket assigned to the member, subscription fees become non-refundable.

    And then there was this:

    5. Automatic Recurring Billing (If Selected By You On The Sign Up Page)

As determined by the content provider of the site, subscription fees may be automatically renewed at the end of the original term selected, for a similar period of time, unless notice is received from the subscriber seven (7) days before renewal. All special introductory offer Members shall be exempt from the 7 day notification requirement, but subscriber must notify EC Suite directly 24 hours prior to the end of the trial/special offer period in order to cancel automatic renewal. All trial/special offer memberships shall renew at the stated membership rate. The maximum term of this agreement is 100 months.

Unless and until this agreement is cancelled in accordance with the terms hereof, subscriber hereby authorizes EC Suite to charge subscriber's chosen payment method to pay for the ongoing cost of membership. Subscriber hereby further authorizes EC Suite to charge subscriber's chosen payment method for any and all additional purchases of services and entertainment provided by the site.

These 2 terms are bothering me. I don't want to get into a situation where they are charging me fees to use the site. It sounds like unless I "unsubscribe", or cancel my membership, or whatever they call it, that they can continue to charge me fees automatically.

Also, what is the "catch"?? Why would they just give away a free $25 to everybody? What do they get out of it?

    Thanks!!!!

I lined up to purchase my ticket but I was out of American cash. I figured I could pay on my Amex or my MasterCard, however the terminal was still without power and their credit/debit machines were out of order. I had a Canadian $20 bill but the lady behind the counter refused to accept it, even though I tried explaining that our dollar was pretty much on par with US currency.

Luckily for me a really nice girl overheard our conversation and came right up to me and gave me an American twenty dollar bill to pay for our tickets. I initially refused her generous offer because I would never be able to pay her back, but she insisted I take it. I thanked her profusely and tried offering her my Canadian money in exchange, but she wouldn’t have it. She told me we had to take care of each other during difficult times and help each other out whenever possible. That minor act of kindness will stick with me for the rest of my life. If you’re out there mystery girl; thank you.

It's Karma from when you reinstated your daily service charges after discovering ncl wasn't going to charge them for the extra days. :)

  9. Great thread, and it has been going on since 2004!!

On one cruise, we had nicknames for 2 of the passengers. One was "Sleeping Joe". He was about 60 yrs old, had big, bushy gray hair, was not very attractive (sorry), and boarded alone wearing red shorts, a white shirt with big purple polka dots, and sandals with black knee-high socks. Every single time we saw him, he was sitting in a lounge or lobby in a chair - you guessed it - ASLEEP!! Oh well, he came to relax, and that's what he did.

The other passenger was "Sticky Fingers". On the evening when they brought out the jewelry that was on sale and displayed it on folding tables outside the shops, my Mom & I actually witnessed a lady slip a watch into her pocket very stealthily. Not once, but twice! In retrospect, we should've told, but didn't. Takes all kinds.
