3 night specialty dining package
SanzD replied to crusin1112's topic in Royal Caribbean International
In my experience any obc from a travel agent is not available for use until you are on board the ship. You cannot use TA obc for prebooking items only obc rcvd directly from Royal. -
Deluxe Drink Package at 35% off
SanzD replied to CruisingHogFan's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Just bought mine for 67.99 a day for Symphony April 2024 sailing. It's cheaper than what I paid 2 years ago bc I waited till I got on the ship. -
solarium bistro Symphony of the seas

Think Mediterranean menu. Healthier options than the main dining room. Roast chicken, salmon, grilled shrimp as mains. Appetizers and salads are buffet but the main is ordered thru your waiter and brought to your table. We enjoyed it on our last cruise. -
Thank you everyone. Just booked my symphony 6 day for April so now I'll start drink package shopping.

Promise I'm not a troll trying to stir controversy. I only cruise every other year and wondered if the travel agent I spoke to was speaking the truth since I know things have changed since our last cruise.
-
Was only trying to budget and determine average price these days of the package per day

I know...another drink package question...but this isn't to find out if it's worth it. I've gotten on my last 3 cruises and plan to get on my next two. Just wondering what the average rate per day has been for these drink packages on 4 night allure amd 6 night symphony. Getting ready to book and curious what the rate is now (I know it can vary..just wanting a ballpark).

Dare I ask what is "pizza gate"?
-
Hopefully she misunderstood bc that's what sets Royal apart from NCL who likes to nickle and dime their passengers.

Just got off the phone with a TA that told me that Royal will start charging for the Flowrider on select ships and eventually fleetwide this year. She claimed that was per a conference she attended end of November. Please say it isn't so. I know Royal previously charged for private/semi private flowrider times but the you could use it for free during the day during select times.

How does Odyssey handle the flowrider (stand up v boogie board) since there's only one on the ship? My DH and DS both do the stand-up and are worried there will be limited time allotted to stand-up since it seems like more enjoy boogie boarding

Thanks to all for the input thus far. Symphony is 6 days to Labadee, Falmouth and Nassau. Haven't been to any of these in years. Odyssey is also 6 days and goes to Coco Cay, Falmouth and Grand Cayman. Personally I love Labadee and it's more laid back vibe than Coco Cay. So ports are both of interest to me. How are the crowds on Odyssey? Never felt very crowded on Symphony except in the promenade at night but we didn't hang out there much as we liked the other areas of the ship better. Can you reserve shows like Oasis class on Odyssey?
-
We enjoy the solarium, flowrider ( I enjoy watching from the bleachers with a cocktail in hand) and the shows. Just was thinking of trying something new...maybe we will stick with oasis class and try Wonderland this time or a neighborhood balcony as we've only done ocean balcony cabins.

Looking to book either Symphony of the Seas or Odyssey of the Seas for a Caribbean cruise this spring. We've been on the Symphony once and Harmony twice and love oasis class ships (only class we've sailed on Royal. Sailed on Carnival Inspiration 15 years ago and despised it). Looking at videos of Odyssey it doesn't seem like there are many outdoor areas as there are on Oasis class ships. What are everyone's thoughts on Odyssey for a Caribbean cruise.

Will RCCL accept this proctored covid testing...?
SanzD replied to NavyCruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Just got home from Symphony of the Seas cruise today and used rapidtestandtrace.com with no issues. Used the free tests provided by USPS and brought the printed negative result letter to the port and flew through checkin with no issues. Very convenient and easy. -
Timing of Covid Test if Ship Delayed?
SanzD replied to SanzD's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Royal just sent an email that Symphony will be delayed one day. Departing Sunday at 7pm rather than Saturday. Covid testing will be honored based on original sailing date.
