1. I wish they would announce SOMETHING about the dining, literally all we know about food is that there will be a food truck(s). I hope they don't go to freestyle dining tough. I enjoy the 8:30 pm seating!

It will come soon I hope. I prefer traditional dining at 6PM. when we had anytime dining on Princess, we always went to the dining room at around 6 anyway.

  3. All the "live from" posters did an excellent job offering varied opinions on multiple topics.:) We board the Royal on Nov. 10, 2013. We have a mini suite on the Riviera Deck. We are traveling with friends and have 4 minis in a row. I know we we all have a great time together on the ship.

Just today I booked the New England cruise on the Royal to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary next October. Another Mini Suite, port side Marina.

Thanks again for all your comments, positive and negative.

Everyone have a safe journey home.;);)

  4. Nice find! Looks great to me.:D

Can't wait to hear what the new parking daily rate will be!;) $25.00 a day??::eek:

That's why we take a Limo or Towne Car, depending on the number of people. It is always comparable to the high parking fees, and you don't have the hassle of driving, parking, catching the shuttle to the ship. The Driver drops you off at luggage check in, and away you go!!

  5. Good Morning. I’m going to tell you about Ye Olde Pub Night first, because so far this was the best entertainment yet. IMO and many others too. The Vista stage setting was decorated as an old English Pub and the cruise staff, singers, dancers, band and the CD and her Deputy were all involved. As were we, the audience. There was fun, there were corny jokes, there were games and there was singing and dancing. By us too. Very interactive and a good time had by all.

Is Ye Olde Pub Night just done on the cruise you are on, or will it be on Caribbean Sailings also. I have never seen it on any of my PRINCESS SAILINGS, but they have been all Caribbean Cruises.

  6. Did the notification come directly from RCI or your Travel Agent? I am also on that same cruise. It's hard to believe that the current would be an itinerary for spring break which tends to be a high demand cruise period and at a premium in most cases.

The email was from my travel agent, but the attached file, a copy of the letter to the travel agent came directly from Royal Caribbean.

  7. On the March 21, 2015 Sailing, I finally received "official" notification of elimination of Samana. While not upset with that, That only leaves us San Juan, and Labadee. We arrive in San Juan at 4 pm and leave at 11pm. Not much time to do anything there. Then we arrive in Labadee at 4:30pm spend the overnight there and leave at 5pm. Looking forward to the Quantum, but it is the worst itinerary I ever had. No time for anything in San Juan and an overnight at their private island??:(

I am hoping for another change, What do you think will happen?:(

  8. I am so happy that you are on the Royal and that your cruise is underway. Glad you made it there safely and that the repairs were completed as to not effect your sailing.

I felt like that I have been going through withdraw not having a "Live Post" to read leading up to my cruise on Nov 10.

Looking forward to your posts. Enjoy the next 30 days! Have a great time!

    Steve :)

  9. Hi everyone! It's a gorgeous weekend here in the New England. perfect weather and the leaves are starting to turn. I took an hour walk and enjoyed every minute of it.

My DH and I have had some serious discussions about the itinerary change and 5 sea days. It's really not our cup of tea. We will cancel just outside of the 90 day cut off unless RCCL changes the itinerary for the better. I have back up plans under way already :)

Either way it's a win win for us. We're celebrating our 40th in 2015!

Could you be more specific about what you are referring too?

  10. Kind of early to be looking for any kind of great booking incentives for sailings more than a year away don't ya think?

Not necessarily, When I booked Quantum 2 weeeks ago, I saved 17%! Quite happy with the deal! The only disappointing thing is that I have to wait so long to do North Star and Ripcord. But that being said, I will be on the Royal Princess in 57 days.....and counting:):)

  11.
Around 6-7 hours....while a little further than I like, still beats flying any day of the week!
I advise you both to arrive a day or so earlier, and spend the day in the city, and a night in a hotel. I would hate to see you miss your cruise due to bad weather.

We will be on the 3/21/15 eight day sailing. I picked this date to hopefully avoid bad winter weather. Although we are only 1 1/2 hours away, it is always a concern. On our Ft Lauderdale departures, we always arrive a day early and spend the night in a hotel.
