We always have 2 cruises booked, one for this year, one for next. We'll book for 2022 in April right before we go on the Breeze, with the Horizon booked for April 2021. We like booking that far out, prices are usually low and we almost always get several price breaks as time goes on.
We're on Horizon April 3, 2021

So … What would be the earliest flight time you would be willing to take leaving FLL on a ship that docks in FLL? Most of the ships I've been on recently, people have been disembarking by 7:00am. What are your thoughts on a 9:05am departure?

I would take that offer. We have stayed near the elevator before with no noise problems. And you'll appreciate it every time you need to use the elevator!

We are just off the Horizon (NYE Sailing). It was our first time as platinum. Our check in time was 11:30. Our UBER dropped us at the port at 11:15. We were through the check-in process and in our cabin at 11:30. Our luggage arrived in the cabin by noon. It was the fastest and easiest embarkation ever. Carnival really has this part down.

Really sorry that happened. I've seen it before on more than one Carnival cruise I've sailed on and its heartbreaking. We're all human and we make mistakes. Congratulations on your marriage and best wishes. Oh, and if you ever thought you would get anything but negative comments from cruise critic people you're in the wrong blog. There are some nasty people here!

I'm with you. I just asked what I am certain is a repeat question because the search format is not the same and I can't find my answer. I'm sure the nasty CC peeps will chew me up for asking a repeat question!

I'm certain that this topic has been discussed before but this new search format is less than desirable and before the CC hounds pounce me, please forgive my repeat question as I can not find the topic!
So a friend just off Victory discovered two $25 chips in his pocket when he got home. Can the chips be used on Horizon? If yes, I will trade him $50. for the chips and make him whole!

So, my wife and I have never been to Curacao. Our port day includes an arrival time at 1:30 and departs at 10:30. What suggestions can people, who have been there, give to us with the later arrival and departure?
Thanks for your help!

If its $300.00 to upgrade the cabin and you have never been in a balcony , I say go for it! I have sailed in all kinds of staterooms and like you I'm (we're) never in the room. But I think you should give it a try. You may like it!

They were NOT on a Carnival excursion ...

So my wife and I just got off the Fascination yesterday. A wonderful cruise! On our second day four (4) passengers were left in Antigua, running as the ship was leaving port. Then suddenly, after cruising for 10 minutes or so, the ship turned back, docked again and allowed the four to board. This was my 10th Carnival cruise. I have seen people left before and never saw the ship turn back to retrieve anyone.
Is Carnival softening there stance on departure times?

Headed out on Saturday. Really looking forward to this itinerary. Thanks for the straight up honest review. Got two Ocean view cabins for $373.00pp. Couldn't pass on it and after 13 cruises have never been to most ports!

We have never been to Antigua. What are some of the better beaches in Antigua? Looking at either Darkwood Beach or Freyes Beach. What are the thoughts of the CC experts.

Really looking to book the Horizon departing December 29, 2018, but the prices are more than double the other dates. I have cruised Carnival over the New Year before and it was never this expensive. SO, what gives? Is it worth it for the itinerary and the new ship? Or find another Carnival?

We are on the Fascination in May .... Six ports in six days! So, what are the best beaches in St Thomas, Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia, St Kitts and St Marten .... looking for recommendations for parts of every port day!
-
Nice to read the positive reviews .... we sail Fascination in May!
-
Headed to Barbados in May. So as the title states, Carlisle Bay or The Boatyard?
-
My wife and I are on the Fascination in May. We are Sunday through Sunday from San Juan. The itinerary also begins and ends in Barbados (Wednesday to Wednesday) for other travelers. Does anyone know the % of travelers that will embark and debark in Barbados? Just curious. This is cruise 14 and I have never sailed on a ship with two main embarkation points and was wondering how it works. You may see lots of different folks!
Has anyone done this cruise before?

I've had five Grand Cayman stops scheduled over the years. Missed port twice because of weather, April and January, and had two rainy days September and January! Just not my port, although it is beautiful!

It really is a simple walk. We were in New Orleans two weeks ago and walked from the French Quarter to the Cruise port to see how long it takes. 12-15 minutes. Next week we will drop our luggage at the port and walk to the French Quarter for breakfast before we board the Dream!

When did you secure FTTF? I have been looking multiple times daily, and still saying "sold out". We sail next Sunday (9/24) so I'm beginning to lose hope!

14 days to Dream:cool:

I've never missed my ship in port and I hope I never do, but I have seen a few people left before and it appears to be heartbreaking and troublesome!
Airline Reservations
in Cruise Air

Still hoping the April 3 Horizon is sailing. But unsure as to when to book the flights. What are people doing about airline reservations when we are not sure we are sailing.
Just asking.
