What about the tips added to the final bill . Do they deduct my tip for the regular restaurant which I will not be eating the night we eat in the specialty restaurant or am I double charged for tips.

Get in line at the main restaurants at the sign that says passengers without reservations.
Moves fast .

Just off the Anthem and some still had their farm clothes at dinner. Wear what you are comfortable in and enjoy the cruise.

If the 18 percent tip in speciality restaurants is per person so you will have left 36 percent for two people at a table. What does the waiter get?

I had a bartender on the Anthem admit to me that if you give Americans a receipt to sign most will add a tip. Most Europeans will not add a tip because they a use to service included so they are usually not asked to sign a receipt. If you have a drink package and they swipe your card there really is no reason to sign a receipt.

Last year the games were on in Michaels PUB. Lots of fans .

Yes you can eat anytime you want in Luminae.

The docking is based on planned crew drills . They lower the life boats into the water so they rotate port and starboard sides. You can never predict which side the ship docks.

We used our lap top camera and fit the pictures into the box that is on their check in page. we had a white wall behind us . Remember they will do the same thing when you check in at the pier.

Take a taxi.

Was told by a bartender and the beverage director on the Anthem that they like to give Americans a bill to sign even if you prepaid the tips on a package because Americans always add an additional tip because they are not use to service included on their bills. Watched that day and sure enough some people always added an additional tip.
Each to own.

Our cruise on the Anthem is in January. When will we be able to make reservations for MTD?

The ships are registered in Malta or Nassau. You might have to sue them where they are registered . Good luck.

The Filet on our first night. The Lamb burger at lunch

Called my travel agent and let them fight it. They are a very large on line agent and always seem to win the battles. Just got 200 reduced from our Jan 14 Anthem cruise.

Wait. I am paying big money for a suite and to dine in Luminee and it is closed for lunch on port days so the crew can go ashore. Yes every one is entitled to days off but with the prices that are now being charged the cruise line should have enough people to keep the restaurant open and allow the help to have their time off.

Thanks for your reply

Is there a quiet bar open before dinner time that is quiet with no music or games where we can enjoy a cocktail and be able to hold a conversation without screaming at each other in order to be able to hear what each other is saying?

Was told by a bartender on a RCCL ship that they love Americans because we are not used to all inclusive including an 18 percent tip for drinks. Especially if they give you a bill to sign Americans always add an additional tip.
Love the " We get better service when we tip with a cash tip" A please and thank you also works very well.

Any port in New York works for me. We prefer NJ but would defiantly book any Celebrity ship from the New York area.

Give them time and there will be no free restaurants on cruise ships. Think back when there were no extra fee restaurants. It wasn't that long ago. Now we moving into paying for every item on the menu instead of a fee.

Surprised so many people are such good tippers. Each drink , beer , water etc includes a twenty percent gratuity and then you add an additional dollar plus in cash. If you purchased a package they add twenty percent gratuity to the price of the package . Seems to me that makes for a forty percent plus your cash on drinks. . Bartender explained this to me on the Jewel.
Last day in dining room always has bad service
