  1. We just did Emerald and the class of ship in great.  We ate in Bonicelli on deck 6 and really hit a home run with Table 119 and outstanding staff!  Love having Tiki Dave (Elua) on board for their Hawaii program.  We have sailed on Discovery as well (not Hawaii).  Emerald would get our vote.  The current Capitan is outstanding.  We were not impressed with the entertainment staff and some if the entertainers were so-so.  As said earlier, Adagio is a great spot to gather for games or quiet.

  2. We just got off Mera.  2 cabins of 2, linked from initial booking.  Once checked in, we were at 2 different tabled in MDR.  Going straight to MDR at boarding we were given the same table.  My knock on the MDR is they have way to many tables jammed into the room and it is extremely cramped.

If you buy the dining package or have a Diamond comp meal, you need to find the reservation line and book those dinners on the first day.  We ate at specialty for 4 meals so MDR was less of a hassle for us.

    6. No tender. The island has a dock. You can walk on and off the ship all day long.

On the 7 day, if you go to Belize it is tendered and it is aboutA 15 minute ride each way.  Gold and Diamond get priority tickets deliver to the cabin the night before port.  It seemed to all go smoothly.

What ship were you? You didn’t find it absolutely offensive I’ve never been on a cruise line. Worse than MSC.

We were on Maraviglia.  CD Chris was always helpful and made it fun.  Our only issue was with MDR being way to crowded.  They need to remove about 25% of the tables they have so people don't need to walk sideways and hoped their breath to get to a seat!  We expected the worst and were pleasantly surprised!

  5. Just finished 1st MSC cruise.  I had submitted Princess Elite status and received Diamond (black card) top level with MSC.  Priority check in line, priority tender tickets delivered to cabin night before, no further request required.  Disembarkation sent bags off at night, and we were in second group off the ship after self help.  Ate breakfast till 8 then went right off the ship.  The status was worth it.  Now we need to cruise 1 time every 3 years to maintain the status.

    Yes, absolutely!

They will remember you as that $2.00 guy/gal!

I’ve been doing that for years. On Celebrity and Royal in Diamond lounge it works wonderful for better service. Not every drink but occasionally, well dispersed does the trick. Order em at the bank 🏦.

I always use these.  Went to Swans in Victoria years ago and included a $2 in my tip.  2 years later we stopped in and had a beer and I again left a $2.  The bartender remembered me and was quite impressed.  For me it is just fun to be different and watch the different reactions I get!

  7. We saw Rock Opera on 4/10 Discovery and Spotlight Bar premiere show on 4/17 cruise.  While Rock Opera was a louder show, we did think it was an excellent show.  It was super high energy and you could see that the performers seemed to leave it all on the stage.  We have never been to a "first performance" show and thought that Spotlight Bar was another excellent performance.  We love cruising for all of the reasons most people do.  It is great to be able to have such good performances at sea.

  8. We are happy to be back cruising.  Everyone has different likes and dislikes and want different things.  That is why there are so many cabin categories!  When we are able to drive to a port, we like bringing formal wear.  That is just a personal choice.  Looking forward to our B2B next week on Discovery!

  10. We were on this sailing but just in a balcony cabin.  Hands down, this was a great cruise!  Less than 400 passengers (about 340) and a fully operational cruise.  From the captain and crew all applauding us as we boarded to the exceptional service through out the ship, this truly like a private yacht.  I have never been recognized by name so frequently onboard!  Our balcony cabin did not have a tub but the glass enclosed shower was actually roomy.  Celebrity is really doing everything to make passengers feel welcomed back to sea.
