How slow/busy was it getting off the ship in each port? I remember on past cruises it could be a 30 minute wait in the stairs to get off the ship. I booked a non ship excursion in St. Thomas that meets at 8:30 but I'm slightly worried I'll be standing in line forever to get off. I do plan on getting up early and trying to be one of the first off the ship.
Thanks,

Does anyone know who NCL uses for the Bio Bay trip, what tour operator? Just got off the phone with NCL shore excursion desk and they said that it was taken down as it was not being offered yet on the cruise as they were still in discussion with the tour operator. Not sure if this is true or not but it was better then being told it was sold out.

Hey all,
Just wondering has anyone ever seen a shore excursion that was sold out reopen before sailing? Does NCL offer waiting lists at all, would calling in to the shore excursion desk help at all maybe?
Thanks

Hello all,
I've done some searching on the boards but I seem to be striking out. We'll be in port from 5:30pm - 12am and I'm looking to do something more active with our kids, 10 & 13. We were looking at doing the ships Bio Bay tour but that is sold out already. Is it possible to do this with a private tour and make it back in time? That is the one thing that concerns me is we don't want to miss the ship.
Is there anything else we could do? I figured all jungle trips would be closed as it would be getting dark a few hours after we arrive.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

@BirdTravels Since both Laser Tag and the Go-Karts require reservations what were the time frames they were running? Was it all the time every day or limited times each day?
Thanks for the review, this is getting me ready for my February cruise.

We did Pez Quadro 5 years ago and loved it. We had out 2 year son with us and the beach was perfect since the water never went above his middle and he could walk out 15-20 feet with out an issue. The drinks were fine, but unless you go for some of the more expensive packages all you get is nachos or fries for the basic package. We are scheduled to spend the day there again on Dec 5th we liked it so much.

I third Roatan, it sits on the second largest barrier reef in the world, much better for snorkeling.

41 days and counting. :)

Very nice, extremely helpful.

Afairbro - which address did you use?
Thanks,

I am wondering this as well. I have a couple of questions for them and have email both the email address on their website and have not received any response at all.

Looking forward to your review, I'll be on the dawn in 230 days.

Thank you all, this helped a lot. Glad to know that there might be a place to sit down when the kids are swimming. I figure to be back there a lot on our Dawn cruise in November with two kids who love swimming.

Does anyone know if the Dawn's T-Rex Kids Pool has chairs around it? The only picture on NCL's website is not much help. If anyone has some pictures of the pool that would be great. Also anyone that has been back there do kids take over the hot tub as well?
Thanks,

Have you looked into getting passport cards? We are cruising with our 7YO and 4YO and we are getting both of them passport cards. It's cheaper then an actual passport and works for all land border crossings or sea port's of entry from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda.

Yeah!! Another amazing review by LittleMissMagic, I have to say that finding this was the highlight of my day.

These are wonderful, answers most questions I had about NCLs programs

That would be great, I would love a more recent one.

No there is no fee for calling room to room, its just like at a hotel, you just dial the room number and it rings. We've used it many times when cruising with a big group, it really helps if everyone is not on the same floor.

I've heard lots of people stay at the Drury on Poydras St. It's about a mile from the cruise terminal. I haven't done it, but have read lots of folks do it. They stay at least one night at the Drury and they can leave the car in the Drury parking lot for free during their cruise. I've also heard they have a shuttle to the terminal.
Good Luck!
I stayed here one night about 4 years ago and did the stay and park, best deal ever for this area. However if you go to google maps and look at the hotel now, you can see the construction. It looks like they are building a new addition where the old parking lot used to be so the Drury may not be an option going forward. Have to see what they say when the construction is over, I was really looking forward to staying here again in Nov when we cruise out of NOLA.

This is specifically for NCL and Carnival and for kids 5 and 7. If our kids want to leave the kids club I know at this age they are not able to sign themselves out, how does the kids club contact us on the ship? I have heard that for the younger kids that they give a pager or phone that you carry around with you, are you able to get one of these for the older kids group as well? Or do they have something else in place??

Hey all, I've been doing some searching but have only found some older versions of the kids club schedules for both the Carnival Dream and the Norwegian Dawn. Does anyone have newer versions of these, 2013 is possible. Or does anyone know of any posts that reference these. I would be looking for those that include kids 5 and 7 so I think that it is two different groups on both ships.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I think I've narrowed this down to the Dawn or Dream. I like the SotS with RCI but I'm not thrilled with the ports or the fact that it leaves on the 22nd and not the 23rd.
So now I've been tasked by the DW to find out everything possible about the kids programs. This will be the first time that we will be able to actually leave our kids in the program and have some time on the ship without them.
Does anyone know a place that has decent pictures of the kids clubs for either ship. I've found a few for the Dream but not as much for the Dawn. Also any recent kids club activity guides would be a great thing as well.
Thanks,
Has anyone used Cozumel Tours by Johann & Sandra
in Cozumel

Hello,
Been to Cozumel a couple of times and usually have done just the beach but am looking for something different this time. I found Cozumel Tours by Johann & Sandra (https://www.cozumel-tours.com/) and they have some offerings that interest my group. Has anyone ever booked with them and if so what were your impressions?
Thanks in advance
