To quote GMIAC, “You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning!”   Our Roll Call group met at 1000 by the pool bar.  After four rums and making new friends, The Boss hit the gym and I hung out at the pool bar. 

I failed my loyal pool bar subjects and opted for time with Morpheus.  I took a three hour nap prior to dinner. 

We missed the Captain’s Welcome and decided to head to the Meridian lounge. During our cocktail hour I fell in love with a rum old fashioned with chocolate bitters.   This is a must try drink if you are a rum drinker. I felt like a pig with pearls on waddling in mud.  It was an awesome drink.  

Dinner was again spent seated with Alvin at Compass Rose.  Pam had the Maine lobster

And I had the salmon.  

Both were excellent dishes.  Dessert was a Tanzanian chocolate cake with ice cream.  

After dinner we headed to the Grandeur bar and listened to the duo playing music. TB had two cosmos and declared to be the best she’s had since having had Olga’s. 

Today, day two of our sea days.

A steak with marks where the jockey was whipping it .........Mr.Zqueeze is traumatized. That is one reason I try to avoid flying on U.S. carriers if at all possible. I think some Don Q therapy is in order.

Despite some insults, Zqueeze is a gentleman and a scholar, and Inga is a fine lady, who doesn't mind settling for less, a LOT less.

I sure hope that's not your foot.....because if it is, it's either broken, or swollen, and you are going to have a difficult time putting it in your mouth the usual four or five times a day.

Bubba: Actually, no one took only 1 suitcase....never occurred to us. We didn't think a leopard could change its spots.

As to the statue - it doesn't have much hair, is kind of homely, and does not move. You know, you could be right: that does sound like me.

Dear Mr Zqueeze : We are having a pool here, and hope you can answer a question. How many bags did Inga bring ? My bet was three suitcases and a carry on. In Helsinki, near the harbour, there is a large statue of a person urinating, as part of a fountain. If you have time could you please take a photo of yourself next to it, similar to what people do in Pisa with the leaning tower ? I promise not to sell copies on the internet.

Happy 40th to you and Inga. Noemi and I had number 43 on May 3rd. On Oct. 2nd we are flying to Venice (via Vienna) to start 3 weeks in Italy. If you show up, I'll even buy you dinner and some great wine. This is the trip we put off from 2020 to celebrate our 40th. Sure would be nice to bend an elbow with you in person. We need to work on that.

While you're in England, say hello to Charles for me, and remember, Guinness is no longer just a breakfast beer. 🍺
