Deck 8 is my favorite , as others have said , close to the Park Cafe .
Short walk up the stairs from the promenade too.
I booked the same level on the Anthem, but haven`t sailed on her yet .
I was on the 7th on the Serenade , didn`t like the balcony over the lifeboats,
so deck 8 for me always moving forward.

You must have been on the October 2015 cruise where the guy decided to leave the ship early... I can't recall what time we arrived.... but I think it was closer to 7:30 or 8.
I don't like spending the day before the end of the cruise trying to figure out how I am going to make the flight. I was on one cruise were there was an issue with customs arriving ontime.
I was on that cruise , it was a mad house on the promenade with all thousands of passengers doing express walk off . We waited for about an hour and a half to exit the ship . Got to the airport around 9 am .
I made the airport real early two out of three times off of the Oasis .
So your chances i would say are good but you may get an unexpected delay that will mess up your plans . Have plan B ready just in case ,
cheers.

I am going in may, so it will be history by then. Too bad , as I wanted to experience it.
We are big Oasis fans , and are looking forward to sailing on this new class for the first time.
From what I have read so far , I think we are really going to enjoy Anthem.
Thank you for the replies.

Now that Dynamic Dining is no longer in effect , is there any formal nights
anymore. I booked a 5 night cruise to Bermuda on Anthem and wonder if I bring a suit or not. I am doing My Time Dining.
cheers !

Also at the aqua theatre at the back of the boardwalk , two huge screens . Its outdoors so it gets warm and humid out there , but its ok for a while .
Then you can move indoors to the on air club, as suggested before.
Don't know if the big screens are used for all the time slots. I remember Monday night game was on during my last cruise.

Oasis class ships are great for football. They have two big screens at the back of the ship on the boardwalk that they televise the games on. You start there and if it's too hot outside there you move into the on air club . They have big screens in there or you can sit outside the club and watch the game in the promenade on the smaller screens..
If you do a boardwalk balcony you can sit on your balcony and watch the game.
I did that one year. I was close to the back of the ship for a good view.
Anyway, I hope you get your team on the big screen.

I asked the same question a while ago.
Michaels pub, pool area, in your room and the casino bar .
These are the responses I got.
You will be able to watch whatever game they pick, no choices.
They run a Thursday , Sunday games and Monday night .
Go Steelers!

I don't eat anything directly with my hands, I always use a knife and fork.
I don't eat the rolls at dinner and if you ever see anybody eating a muffin in the windjammer with a knife and fork that would be me.
You never know what you touch that could be infected.
And never touch you face with your hands

Thanks for the replies. I can now try out the Anthem and know I can catch a game.
Looks like an interesting ship .
On my last cruise they were running the saints /giants game where the score was in the
50's.The defence didn't show up . Both teams would score on almost every posession.A New Yorker was in the pub going nuts. A true fan .He made the game a most memorable one for me.

anybody .........
Am I the only football fan , there was lots of americans on the Oasis watching
with me . I guess we wont be bumping into each other on the Anthem .
See you on the Oasis .

I know people don't cruise to watch NFL , but I do .
I like going during the NFL season as it gives me something to do , lol.
I like the Oasis as it has the on air club where I can catch the games either
inside or outside the bar.
Are there similar type venues on the Quantum or Anthem.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
cheers!

Not my favorite either. Big ships have more going on. Went on it once and
doubt I will ever go back. Nothing wrong with it , but it isn't the Oasis .
I like the floating hotel atmosphere of the bigger ships.
I have tried 4 classes and found that I liked the Serenade the least.
Try the ship out and see if its a good fit for you.
cheers.

7 days. We like the dining room food, lol.
We don't expect michelin star rated food , so it's fine with us.
Last 3 cruises were on the Oasis , and the food was edible .
Cheers.

They did the same to me for my Oasis cruise a few months ago. Twice actually.
Fortunately I had printed my reservations. I called RC and a nice fellow named Syd straightened it out for me. All I wanted really was the comedy club and I never did make it to any other shows. Football season had just started and I was pre-occupied with that . Saw the Broncos on the big screen in the Aqua theatre . That was cool. If you printed them , scan them and e mail them to Syd.

Catr13, you should be ok as long as there are no issues, and there usually isnt. The buffet opens at 5:30 am for breakfast , so if you are already packed ,you can partake in your last meal aboard ship and still be off early . I have arrived at the airport at 7 am two other times off of the Oasis. You will not have any lines ahead of you getting off , at customs or getting a cab to the airport.I personally would rather wait at the airport rather than in lines , so thats why i do express departure . I wish you the best of luck.
-
As Suzy stated , last week was a disaster getting off the Oasis. We did express departure , but arrived later than usual into port due to the jumper the previous day. We were allowed to leave at about 8.30 am. We waited 1.5 hours on level 5 with a few thousand others wanting to do express departure. Anyone with an early flight was pretty much out of luck.Tempers were flair ing as some jumped the que . Pretty inconsiderate in my opinion. I don't book flights any sooner than noon so I was not in any rush, but I have had enough cruising for now, and the departure issues iced it for me.I would not recommend taking chances with early flights. You never know when someone is going to do something to change your plan.

I guess I am the only other person that doesn't have issues with the website working for me. Just lucky I guess. I was doing a mock booking to check pricing and the website changed. It doesn't show the diagram of the ship so you can see the location of cabin. Not an improvement in my opinion. I won't be cruising anytime soon anyways.Maybe the site will improve in the future.

Like oasis the best. Anything with a promenade is preferred.
-
Hopefully the ships Air Conditioning doesn't go on the blink. It will get a unflattering nickname. Any guesses what that would be?
With luck RCCL will home port a ship over the spring, summer and fall in Boston. Bermuda is popular. I like DownEast sailings into Canada. Wishfull thinking I guess.
Perspiration of the Seas ?

Nice video , looks like you had a blast . I enjoyed watching it .
-
On the other hand , i like the windjammer on the Oasis . Been on the Oasis
twice and have no complaints.I always seem to find something appealing. We were greeted by staff at the entrance at busy times and we were escorted to a table . No complaints for me.
-
I have had both layouts on the Oasis . It isnt a big deal where the closet is. It wont alter your enjoyment either way as its only a week . Enjoy your cruise . The last thing you will think about is how accessible the closet is.
cheers.

Sailed twice on the Oasis in September . Rates were very good , in fact one of my most least expensive cruises was the second one on the Oasis .
Airfare was cheap too. Weather was fabulous and seas were calm . There was a Carnival ship that changed route and sailed along with us as there was bad weather on their intinerary . They do have flexibility to avoid storms . I would do it again without hesitation . If you have seen the Wolf of Wall Street movie you may have a different view of sailing in stormy seas though.
cheers

I use my utensils to eat everything in the windjammer. I can go a week without eating a roll or a piece of bread. I just dont touch any of my food with my hands. And I try not to touch my face.
I read an article that stated that the chairs are the most laden with germs in a restuarant.
Good eating everyone!
Last Boardwalk Balcony Oasis Class 9729 Info
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
General,
My first trip on the Oasis was in a boardwalk balcony.
I was on the same level but 5 cabins from the end . I wanted to try it out as it was the only ship to offer an interior balcony, with a view out the rear of the ship.
I have since gone back to exterior balconies on the Oasis , but it was a unique
experience which I enjoyed.
Leave it to Royal to come up with unique ideas and magnificent ships.
Booked on the Anthem next .
Cheers
