1. You can do it pretty inexpensively in a condo. We rented in the Ilikai in Honolulu for years we paid around $950 US for the week. Last Christmas and New Years we rented a townhouse over looking the golf course at Turtle Bay for $1800 US for two weeks. If you need a three course meal every night, then yes you'll pay but it can very done a lot cheaper.

We have done the same in Puerto Vallarta. It'll be awhile before we cruise again.

2. Hi all, so it appears on deck plan that the celebrity suite balconies on deck 10 and 11 differ in size?

1126 on hump appears bigger than 1642 down from hump? anyone advise, are theses balconies fully covered...? have done many searches and unable to find...

Anyone out there have this info, pleeeeeease... thanks so much.

There is no difference in the size of the balconies on those 2 cabins. The larger balconies are on the slant of the hump not the flat size. For example: #1122; #1132; #1615; #1638.
3. I spoke to Guest Services. They confirm they found the camera and the date Oct 12 came up, but I think in reference to finding the camera. He verifies the camera was sent to headquarters and also states it takes a bit of time to receive something even once it gets to headquarters. Hopefully you will be receiving it soon!

Thank you so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate that you took the time out of your vacation to inquire!!:)

4. I am on the Reflection now. It may be that they will ask for a little more info before letting me know? Maybe not total ID of the camera but at least what brand it is?

I will try to ask this afternoon. My husband is watching the Jets game so we are confined to our cabin.. Thank heavens for balconies!! LOL!!!

Thanks:) It is a Nikon Coolpix in a black case. The camera itself is a burganday. I lost it on the Oct 23rd TA sailing. I appreciate it!

5. There are also several people posting LIVE from the Reflection right now.

You could ask them.

Here is one:

Thank you for your suggestions. I just posted on these threads.

I lost eye glasses on a RCI ship the morning of departure...that sudden pack animal syndrome! I contacted Miami... it did take several weeks before the ship actually turned over the L&F items to Miami...OR...before they were processed by Miami. But I did get them back...slightly bent out of shape but...they were eyeglasses!

I am sure that you will get the camera back since they have notified you that they found it! It just takes more time than you might expect.

I appreciate you sharing your experience.:)

6. Try posting on the next reflection roll call and ask somebody to ask guest relAtions. Someone did this on our cruise once and we asked for them, they had left their sd cards in the room and guest relations confirmed they were still onboard and had them. At least we were able to tell them where they were. Never found out if they got them back

Great idea! I am going to do that right now. Thanks:)

7. Where is the ship? I would guess it would be held until it returned to North America. Agree it does seem to be a very long time, but at least they acknowledge they have your camera. About all you can do is call or preferably write about your situation.

Thanks for your reply. The ship is running 7 day caribbean cruises out of Miami. That is why I find it strange that the Miami office hasn't received it yet. But I shall call again on Monday.

8. I left my camera in our cabin on our Oct. Reflection cruise...totally my fault:rolleyes:

I contacted the Celebrity Lost and Found. Then, they told me that my camera had been located. Two weeks ago, they said they were still waiting for the camera to be sent to their offices from the Reflection.

Has anyone had experience with the Lost and Found? How long did it take for them to physically receive the item?

Thanks:)

9. You can get a TD Boarderless account and do the money conversion on line the cheapest way / rate to buy US funds and then pay off the card.

Fouremco: I agree with you. I too have a Borderless acount and a TD US Funds credit card. I was fortunate enough to put some money in the account when 1 USD was 95 cents CND.

"Till I closed them, I had a TD USD VISA and a TD USD account and did precisely what you suggest. However, I found that the conversion fee was not the lowest I could get, whether buying online or at my local branch. Contrary to offering "the cheapest way / rate", TD offers only competitive rates"

You do not have to go to TD for the USD. You can go and get the money from any currency exchange with competive prices and make a deposit into your USD account.

10. I use the Chase Amazon card and have Celebrity bill it in USD. In my experience, the conversion rate is better than Celebrity's and there is no transaction fee (unlike most Canadian credit cards).

We use the same card. It was really useful for shopping in Euros. I like that it is no fee and they give you $20 off any amazon.ca order.

We have always found that we got better rates when putting our charges to our credit card.

11. Not anymore.

At one time the food was outstanding and the prices reasonable. When we were on the Reflection in Nov. we received 50% off of the Tuscan Grill. Subjectively, that was all it was worth. My husband ordered the "Ciopinno: Rustic san francisco seafood stew" he received seafood on a skewer in an empty bowl. We had to request the broth. We also ordered the Parmesan Truffle French Fry. I didn't detect any Parmesan or Truffle.

On second thoughts, I don't believe that it was worth the 50% off.

12. I have heard rumours that the Select Dining on the Reflection is so busy and over crowded that it is necessary to make reservations instead of just showing up. Many have said that is due to Luminae. I love Select Dining and always choose it because I can go when I want to.

Could anybody who has recently used the Select Dining on the Reflection tell me what their experience has been.

Thanks:)
