  1. Thanks for getting back to us with their response on this, I actually have 2 sons who cannot drink cows milk and drank almond milk when they were toddlers, however they have "grown out" (at the wise old age of 3 and 6 lol) of drinking milk and about the only time they want it anymore is with cereal.

  2. Lots of seemingly odd policies. Even if they said they would provide it, if it’s that important I’d definitely bring my own. Doubt a “real” refrigerator will be provided but if OP brings smaller containers that don’t need refrigeration, it won’t be difficult to keep the container on ice once opened.

Very true! There is a checkbox on the special needs form for refrigerator in cabin (under medication needs) I would hope that would mean they put an actual refrigerator in the cabin if it was checked, instead of the electric "cooler" that I'm assuming still comes standard in the cabins?

  3. My wife has a dairy allergy and we have found that unless they carry an item on board they will not bring items on for an individual guest but will allow you to bring that item on.

Not doubting you at all, but that's an odd policy/business decision imo, I mean you can request a specific amount of ensure to be onboard allotted to you but can't request a gallon or two of almond milk? maybe they have the inside line on ensure but no connections to hook them up with almond milk lol

  4. On the standard special needs form (it seems pretty universal for RC) there is a place to request soy milk, lactose free milk, and vanilla ensure (for the ensure you have to request a specific number of 8oz cans for the trip) however I am sure that they would bring almond milk or at the very least allow you to bring it (since it is shelf stable before its open) and provide an actual refrigerator in the room for it.

There is also a space at the bottom for other special needs or allergies (food and non) with the disclaimer that RC will attempt to make reasonable accomodations for your needs, but that not all requests may be able to be accommodated

  5. It's $59 per day on our cruise, we are at least getting the refreshment package (for the wife and I) and we will get the voom for 1 device, when I break it down the voom for 1 device is $16 per day, the refreshment package (everything but alcohol) is $18, those two combined are $34, so it's only gonna cost me $25 a day to get the combo deluxe bev pack and voom. That's the cost of 2 mixed drinks...I'm thinking it's a no brainer...

  6. He needs a birth certificate or passport.

Yep, I contacted customs and border security a week ago with the same question, as we are taking our kids on their first cruise this spring. As long as the wife and I have our proper documentation all the kids need is a birth certificate (original or notarized copy). Hung up with them and called royal to verify they didn't need anything over and above for them to board

  7. Yes, it's padded. If you land wrong you also get a faceful of water.

Just be aware that there are people sitting there recording people on their phones. Creeps!

I'm sure there are some people hoping to capture bathing suit malfunctions, but most people are recording cause there are some people that can do some really cool moves on it, and those of us that can't sometimes have some really funny wipeouts, see my story above lol

  8. So explain to me. When you fall on the flow rider, doesn’t it hurt?! It looks painful in all of the videos I see, unless the ground is padded under the water? Also I am thinking about kneeling on the board for a safer ride, but is there anyway to quit the surf without falling?? Thanks!

Only thing I hurt was my pride lol, local water park has had one a few years now and I figured I'd try it out, was doing ok but when I wiped out I almost lost my shorts! I had worn an older pair of swim shorts that day and the elastic was gone in them, had them tied but apparently not quite tight enough, I felt them slip over my butt a little and grabbed them with one hand, eyes closed (blind if my contacts got knocked out) I proceeded to "gator roll" out of the current till I could stand up. My crowd got a good laugh out of it lol.

To more directly answer your question it's not hard, some kind of firm foam or padding covered in slick canvas
