Itinerary and date of the cruise please.
Have you tried
Yes I have but it still says that they are coming soon

Had anyone else had difficulty booking excursions online. Every time I log on to my booking it says excursions coming soon.
-
I am trying to book my excursions but the site says that they are not available yet. I know that some people on another site who are going on the same date have already booked them through their travel agents. I booked the cruise online. Does anyone have an address I can use. I have tries the passenger excursions one and get the same message.

Unless you paid for premium or extra legroom seats, you can't select your seats until 90 days before your return journey.

Yes there is a promenade and also a jogging track. Gallery 47 does not carry a supplement. Yes there is an indoor pool in the guesthouse which serves light lunches and tapas and pizzas in the evening Which Is Also Without A supplement.

Just back from discovery 2. Sorry, no menus to share as they change daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Burgers, Jacket Potatoes and Salad are always available at lunch time. Chicken ans fish of the day always available at dinner.

Was on the Majestyfor New Year and had to pay for Baileys. Sorry, I don't have a drinks menu.
-
It was included on Celebration in January and on Dream in April but not to my annoyance on Spirit in June so I'm assuming it won't be on Majesty in September either
No it isn't included in the Majesty either.

When we were on the Celebration last month we were asked to go to reception and tell them how many cruises we have done with Thomson. Later, we were invited to a cocktail party and were told that Thomson didn't know how many cruises people had done previously as they hadn't any records. Not sure if that is correct or not but with Thomson, anything is possible.

We got back from our Norwegian trip on 11th June. This morning I received the survey questionaire from Thomson, over six weeks after our return. Is this a record or is it yet another IT glitch?

After 27 Thomson cruises on all their ships except the Spirit, we decided to have a week's cruise on her last September. I have to say, in my personal opinion, she is my least favourite of all the ships I have been on. Too dated and past its sell by date. The contrast between the Spirit and her sister ship, the Celebration, is very noticeable. Give me the newer ships every time.

As soon as you go through the port gates there will be someone selling tickets for Piran. First time we went we had a mini bus. A few years later, it was a coach. It leaves Piran around 1.30 which gives you plenty of time to look around Koper.

Sorry but we got off Dream end of April and Gavin had left the ship before we got on (I believe he's on Discovery now) and Paul Fisher is CD
Taylor is CD on Majesty as we bumped into him in Cadiz when both ships were in port
Soundroom have left the ship and Top Men are the band Tom and Maris are on until September along with Noel and Marisa in Tides
Gavin is on the Celebration at the moment

We got to the port at 11am. Went to the car park to check in our cases and park the car. A shuttle bus was waiting to take us to the terminal. The check in desks opened about 11.30 and we were allowed to board at 12.00. Hope that helps.

It's a very rare event for the Tyne Tunnel tombe closed!
If you are wanting to fill your time before joining the ship you could either have a look around Tynemouth (also on the North side) or go into the Royal Quays Outlet Centre which is more or less next door to where your ship will be.
Shopping in Royal Quays sounds good to me. Not sure the other half would agree lol:halo:

I went on this excursion from Messina and in my opinion it is not value for money. There is a 2 hour drive each way and luckily the guide was very knowledgeable, she needed to be to talk for 2 hours!.
The problem is you only see the summit of Etna from the motorway service area where we stopped for a toilet break. Even there the view was partially blocked by electricity cables. The final destination did have small craters, lava flows etc etc but there is no view of the top of Etna  This is blocked by a hill which you can walk up (hard) or get a chair lift. As we were only there for a hour there was no time to do this. It was very busy with lots of coaches and 2 restaurants with long queues for the toilets etc. I checked the excursion guide on the ship and it is cleverly worded so nowhere does it say you will get good or bad views of Etna.
Not recommended, save your money.
Totally agree. We did this trip a few years ago. A total waste of time and money.

Thank you for all your replies. Will stick at our booking as we will have all morning to get to the check in. Next time we will book North Shields Premier Inn and maybe take the train.
-
We are travelling up from Kent the day before our cruise and staying at the Premier Inn Port of Tyne South Shields. How far away are we from the Passenger terminal and how long will it take us to drive there on the Sunday morning from the Premier Inn?

Got ours Friday. Posted back Saturday.

Very easy

The hop on hop off water bus does murano and burano. It cost us 15 euros each last year.
-
We went in June and it was very warm. Didn't expect that. We took euro's and used ATMs to draw out small amounts of cash in countries that were not in the eurozone.
-
Thank you campolady. Will try that
