  1. On the Reflection, back in November, Michaels was open to all serving craft beers. We asked today and were told onboard that Michaels is only closed this week and starting next cruise craft beers will be moved to cellar masters.

  2. Hello

We asked a few different people and were able to find out that some of the beers will be moving to cellar masters next week. Also michaels club is closed this week for the elites but who we asked said it will be open again next week. As for the wine machines they will be on until the next dry dock when they will be removed.

  3. Hello

We have seen zumba on the daily and it gets many people involved.

Also today was the grand opening for the canyon ranch spa club and at the opening there were many senior officers and the master. They were also giving out smoothies there.

  4. Hello

We do notice that there were fewer free activities than in November, but most of the time we sit out on the lawn where there are fewer lawn games.

Also it seems that the specialty restaurants are quiet because yesterday we got an offer for 50 % off at any speciality restaurant.

  5. Hello everyone,

We are currently on the reflection and have some comments about the changes we have noticed so far since we were last on in November. The music is louder than it was, but it normally is not too horrible. The worst was Miami dj outside the martini bar as my iPod decimal reader said it was 100 plus decibels. When vibes, the party band was playing in the atrium, the measurement was around 90. Overall all the crew have been wonderful, and the ship looks beautiful. Our cruise director is Ian cresswell, master is apostolos bouzakias, and the hotel director is Jamie petts. If anyone has any questions, I will be checking back here tomorrow in st. Thomas.

  6. For our upcoming reflection cruise, we have now decided to purchase some musician earplugs to protect our hearing. As for the demographic issue I am a younger cruiser in multiple orchestras and very much enjoy classical and other forms of music. As a cellist, I am accustomed to playing different types of music and in groups with different volumes, but have now decided to protect my hearing. After our experience on the reflection cruise during last thanksgiving, the music was so loud overall that we found it impossible to communicate when seated next to each other. We even contemplated a device where we had earpieces to communicate. So let's hope celebrity has gotten the message, and makes a difference, and protects their customers hearing health.

  7. I must agree with what everyone else is saying about Miami DJ. We were on for their first cruise on the reflection (November 23), and they were HORRIBLE and wonder what celebrity was thinking. I am really not happy with the the entertainment is going, even my 15 y.o. son hates this group and hopes they are not still there when we return to reflection in march.

  8. Hello fellow shipmates,

My son and I were also were on the Nov. 23, Celebrity Reflection cruise.

We had a wonderful time on the beautiful ship and enjoyed the ever attentive service from the dedicated crew. I am disturbed to hear about your distressing experience with debarkation. My son and I walked off the ship with our luggage just before 8:00 am. We experienced no backup at all, at the gangway or at customs, only 1 person was in front of us. Our problems began when attempting to board the rental car transport. The National, Enterprise buses were twice full at the Celebrity stop, we had to go to the MSC stop and we were grilled at the bus door for our documents before we could enter the bus. Our next problem was at the Enterprise counter where I was denied my prepaid rental car, because my valid drivers license was to be reissued upon my return home prior to my Dec. 6, birth date. I then had to go from Rental desk to rental desk to obtain another car at a premium price, to take us to my waiting family in Fort Lauderdale and the FLL airport.. Sorry to hear about your terrible experience upon disembarkation. We hope the good memories can eventually outweigh the bad.

  9. Anyone get an email about the Nov 23rd sailing of Reflection? We just got one about delayed boarding and not to arrive at the port until 12:45pm. The reason being was slow customs and a Coast Guard inspection.

  10. I was wondering when the entire crew has to go through customs after completing a European tour and return to the US in Miami. Is it done on their first sailing out of the US or after a few? Also, when will the CDC be doing their inspection after return to the US. I have been on a cruise in the past when the entire crew had to go through customs. It delayed boarding for 3 hours. We are on the second sailing of the Reflection out of Miami and was hoping this will be done on the first sailing.

  11. I thought I read somewhere that the Reflection was using a new carrier named On-Wave. Has anyone had any experience on the Reflection using their cell phone with any carrier with On-Wave? Can you let us know what is the best way to communicate from the ship to home on the phone?

  12. ALLIGATOR CLIPS – Again invaluable. These are jumbo clothes pegs. Bought them at a Beach Store (got ours in Myrtle Beach)… they are better than regular clothes pegs because they have such a huge “mouth” and you can use them to clip items onto the patio furniture on your veranda for example… things dried out a lot faster outdoors using this method than they did indoors in the cabin using the Clothesline. We used the Alligator Clips to secure bathing suits, and even swim shoes to the backs of our patio chairs.

In regards to using the Alligator clips for drying out on your balcony, it was well publicized that leaving any items on the balcony were a fire risk. Because anyone who might toss a cigarette overboard could cause the items on the balcony to catch fire. This happened a number of years ago on the Star Princess and a good portion of the ship caught fire and had to be brought to dry dock and rebuilt. I believe it was later found that the cause of the fire was from smoking material carelessly discarded overboard by another passenger up above and the wind carried the smoking material back onto someones balcony and caught their personal effects left on their balcony on fire.

During our recent muster drill they reminded everyone not to leave anything on their balconies when they are away. They stated that fires are a major concern at sea and leaving any thing that might be ignited would be a hazard.

So PLEASE do not leave any ignitable material out on your unattended balcony.
