FYI, there are daily updates through the sailing, usually at 8am, especially when it comes to available reservation times for activities. Have you considered checking posted Cruise Compass editions to get a general idea of what to expect? https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass?ship=435 may be a good start.

One advice - book North Star the instant you get on board.

Yes, I’ve already looked through that. The last 8 day Bahamas cruise is from 2019 - which isn’t really helpful to me as everything can really be different post-Covid.

  2. We’re sailing Anthem on Saturday and I was wondering when the planner usually fully updates in the app? We have the first 7 days out of 8 with things on it now but theyre just the things on sale/exercise classes/etc. None of the main shows are listed, which is what I am looking for as I want to have dinner planned before hand.

Normally I would just look at a cruise that happened beforehand, but since it was in Southampton for a bit and it now on a TA, there was nothing similar we could have compared it to.

I’m sure it differs, but when does it most often fully have everything listed?

If you get the marketing emails - the Terms & Conditions are at the bottom.  Otherwise, if you look in the cruise planner, if there is a current sale, it should give the dates at the bottom.  This is what my current planner says.

Oh awesome, mine says the same!! Looks like I’ll be able to get it on Wednesday then! Thanks!!

And unfortunately, I don’t get the marketing emails! I don’t know why, I’ve tried to fix it every which way, even contacting Royal a few times (never got a response, though). Oh well.

I don't have a "Columbus Day" sale, but I have a "Your Cruise is in 21 Days!!!" sale.  They typical 35% off jargon that has been thrown at every other sale.  In the terms and conditions, it says this price is good until 10/12.

The "holiday sales" are almost always "extended" so my thinking would be you'd be okay tomorrow - but I can't make any promises.

I’m just assuming it is for Columbus Day though it doesn’t say it. The prices were up last week until around Thursday I believe when they dropped again.
Where do you see the terms and conditions for it? That would probably solve it completely!

  5. I’m sailing October 29th, so this sale for Columbus Day is basically my last chance for getting the two things I need at the price I want.
However, we are currently buying a house right now so I am trying to see my current credit card statement low, and my statement date ends tomorrow.
From past sale experience, would it be plausible that these prices would last until tomorrow or even Wednesday, even though today is Columbus Day?

I know I’m probably overthinking it, but this is the last month my credit card statement matters, haha. I will be paying it off immediately, but since I already paid for this statement I was waiting until the new statement to pay.

  6. My last cruise in December I was able to get either a price adjustment or OBC up to 48 hours before sailing. I had read at some point that they were changing the price drop policy that you could only get credit if it was within 48 hours of booking. Is this true/taken effect yet? We booked in April for this coming October and today there is a price drop of about $100, so obviously I would want to call if I can get it.

    Thanks!

If you want to buy it, just take it home with you.  Royal Caribbean will conveniently charge you.  No lines, no waiting.

Haha, I almost thought about doing that but I figured if I was going to pay full price, I would want a new one!

  8. We are currently on our last day of our B2B on Symphony. The first week we were given the standard terry cloth robes, but the second week our Stateroom attendant got us these really nice ones. They are leaps and bounds above the terry cloth ones and we really like them! I was wondering if anyone knows where we can buy them? I can only find the terry cloth ones on their website. These aren’t terry cloth - they’re a quilted cloth. Here’s a picture:

    Thanks!

  9. Hi! Currently at the airport to fly to Miami for our honeymoon tomorrow and I just have a few last minute questions:

    1. To avoid any charges but to still use the Wi-Fi, all I have to do is turn airplane mode on but re-activate Wi-Fi? Or is there something additional?

    2. We are in a junior suite, so we can go to Coastal Kitchen for dinner if there is space. Can we make a reservation for that night or is it standby only and we have to just go there for dinner and see if they can fit us in?
    3. Is there a central place for booking specialty dining or do we have to go to each restaurant?

    4. We have the three night dining package. Do we have to use it on the first or second night? We were hoping to do CK the first night and MDR the second.
    5. The escape room, during COVID times, are we able to do it if we have less than six people? We don’t mind doing it by ourselves, that’s actually how we like to do escape rooms.
    6. Anyone know if they’re doing the Love and Marriage game on Symphony? We would love to try to get on. If so, any tips for that?

Thank you so much!! We are so so excited. It’s his first cruise ever, and I have only been on one in 2008 when I was 16.

Congratulations !!  The JS is a great room.  Lots more space, walk-in closet and full bath.  You might even have a bath-and-a-half depending on the JS that you get.

JS have access to the CK on a space-available basis so flexibility is your friend.  Traditionally, the first night of the cruise is filet night but that does vary from ship-to-ship.  I would check with the CK desk as soon as you board to verify which night will be filet night and then see if they can accommodate you.  The great news is, even if they cannot accommodate you in the CK, you have the UDP so you have a lot of great options for dinner !  Enjoy !

Since JS only get access if there is room, does that mean they cannot make a reservation for nights in advance, and have to knock on the door each evening for availability?

    Hmmm,

We will be on Royal Caribbean Symphony  Of The Seas

in December  and Puerto Rico is on our itinerary.

I hope they don't change it.

What date? I am also on Symphony in December and we originally had Labadee and Puerto Rico - they replaced it in September with a sea day and St. Thomas.
