So, if the cruiseline rearranges the ports so that you leave and return from the same ports on the same days, you would cancel the cruise just because you miss out on Cuba? And thus eat your airfare costs.
Where I come from, that's called cutting off your nose....
You don't seem to realize that Oceania has 7 to 12 day cruises that are just Cuba (except for one quick stop in the Bahamas). More like cutting off your head......... ???

A little statue
For some odd reason many americans expect a statue of liberty sized statue but it is only human sized. 🙂
Or less. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Little_Mermaid_(statue)

Did you answer the question as to how you intend to travel around Scotland? If it is by car, I would not recommend either Edinburgh or Glasgow. Like any big city they are congested and difficult to get in and out of.
I would recommend STIRLING. Central location, easier driving. Good train connections to Glasgow and Edinburgh if you want to visit the cities.

Does anyone know when Marina is scheduled for dry dock? I googled it but couldn’t find anything.
If you search this forum for 'Marina' you will quickly find "Marina - Refresh Date" - that might help

We hope to do the rocky mountainer too , any advice on this would be useful.
We did the Rocky Mountaineer Calgary to Vancouver plus the Inside Passage on HAL in 2012 - 7 days in and out of Vancouver. Yes, the train is expensive but if it is on your bucket list, then splurge on Gold Leaf service and do it right. It's first class service all the way with your own seat in the observation area and a separate dining room below. HAL has access to Glacier Bay which is not to be missed. I'd pay extra for a balcony.

Thank you for getting back to the topic at hand 👍

Since no-one has replied, I thought I'd Google them and see what I could find.
They appear to be part of a larger automotive dealership group (Bannerman Gruop) with a good website
and an ability from the website to "chat" with them. Why not do that and ask your questions there

London (lots to see & do), Edinburgh (as above), Portree /Isle of Skye (scenery), Dublin (history)

If you want to see what shore excursions MIGHT be available on your cruise, go to the Oceania website and look under "Explore Ashore", "Find A Shore Excursion". Select your Region and Ports of interest. No guarantees these will all be available but gives you an idea. Those marked OS and OE are not included in the O-life included excursions. Whether its worth it depends on what you want to see and your degree of comfort in doing by yourself, or with other passengers on a private tour (which will usually be cheaper).

Guess we’ll perhaps be forced to consider HAL for Japan!
You should consider Tauck Small Ship Cruises for Japan. I'd highly recommend it

Could someone tell me what it's like cruising the British isles? I'm a little nervous about the ocean being rough. I've done Mediterranean, Baltic, Caribbean with absolutely no problem except for the leaving the Baltic going into the North Sea it was 20 minutes of fear. Thinking of going end of July beginning of August 2020 Oceania Marina
We are booked for the same cruise. Norway first then the British Isles. That's a good time for weather in Britain and I don't anticipate any problems.

Hubby and I are interested in a Mississippi River (Missouri and Ohio rivers too) cruise and we have some very novice questions.
Which portion of the river do you recommend? We have family live in Pittsburgh and want to join us - is Pittsburgh a good embarking or disembarking port? We want to accomendate them as they have mild mobility limitations but none of us want to sacrifice scenery or quality. If it's not we are more than happy to travel to a better stop.
Which mid priced line would you recommend?
When is the best time to go? Is November a good time? Here is what I wrote to our TA after a 2013 trip on the American Queen (N. Orleans to Memphis):
"Overall, if asked for a recommendation, I’d have to ask what people were looking for?
Beautiful scenery passing by on a beautiful river? – probably not. At least not on this leg. The more northerly summer routes may be better. An easily-accessed, relaxing cruise on an very attractive, clean ship with good food, good entertainment and “all-American” staff? – no problems here. Exciting, interesting shore excursions every day? Not really. Excluding the start and finish, some of the intermediate stops were not that great. An experienced river cruiser used to the best of everything might find things to nit-pick on the American Queen. At full brochure price, these cruises look expensive compared to what is available elsewhere so I’d be looking for upgrades and discounts like we had."

I was mostly interested to see about the fitness/yoga schedules, but they are in an additional insert from what I understand. Saw one posted on the live Oceania ATW thread 🙂
Yes, there is a Fitness Schedule in the insert to the daily "Currents". On Nautica in Aug 2016, there was Pathways to Yoga daily from day 2 - day 7 (at $11) but not in days 8-12. Lots of other walking, stretching, aerobics programs (all free) and some Indoor Cycling (also $11).

I'm looking into an Oceania Baltic Cruise this August, first time O cruiser.
Does anyone have any somewhat recent Currents, preferably for the Nautica?
I'm interested to see what the daily activities onboard are like.
Thanks so much!
Ariane
We did this on Nautica in Aug/Sept 2016 and my organized wife still has all her copies of "Currents".
Each day is packed with activities from 8am to evening. Is there any particular type of activity you'd like to look for?

We used "Free Tours Visby". (E Mail free-tours-visby@hotmail.com). A group got together via Roll Call.
Easy walk from ship to meet him in town for a 1 1/2 hour tour - excellent.
works on a "pay me what you think it was worth" basis. Everyone was delighted with it.
In Tallinn, one of our Roll Call group had booked a walking tour through the Tourist Information Centre.
Again, this was excellent. More comprehensive and cheaper than the ship excursion.

Here is another option for you http://www.tauck.ca/small-ship-cruises.aspx
Tauck Small Ship Cruises. Some use the Ponant ships mentioned above.

When I look at any particular cruise on O's website, there is always "Request a Quote" button. Does this go to Oceania or to an agency who may give me a different price or offer?

Those of you who have been on this cruise, how much of a slant did you perceive in the information you received during the Viet Nam portion of the trip? From what I’ve been able to tell, the victors of the war — the North Vietnamese — have dominated the narrative about the war ever since, which makes sense because they now control the country. I’m interested in seeing Viet Nam (and Cambodia) but not in propaganda.
I’d be interested in your thoughts.
History is written by the victors so when you are in the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum grounds in Hanoi or the War Remnants Museum in Saigon you may not agree with all you read. However, everywhere else was quite open and free. The people are lovely and give no sense of concern over what they say. Remember also, its a younger generation who have no memory and little interest in the war years. Our guides (Avalon) were young but knowledgeable and in no way spouting propaganda. Take the trip - you will love it.

Some comments to Roadmaster on the choice of a cruise for 2020. seems like you will have to set down your priorities from the top then find what works best. If, like me, you are partial to Oceania why not consider the July 6th Baltic cruise Stockholm to Oslo then stay on board for Fjords of Norway, ending up in London?

You need to include the ports of call for the two cruises - many scenic fjords are south of Bodø - however, answer will depending on the itinerary - Going above the Arctic Circle (Bodø ) is just above the Arctic Circle) you may experience midnight sun (depending on which dates) - so please include dates as well.
In this post you can get a list of scenic fjords
Thanks for directing me to this great link which has answered all my questions. I will check back here frequently

Comparing Oceania and Azamara for Norway in 2020. O goes as far north as Bodo while Azamara goes all the way to the North Cape. How many of the iconic, "can't miss" fjords will I not see if I choose Oceania. Note, the question is about locations, not a request for alternate cruises.

I would highly recommend Avalon Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City. We did it first week in November 2018.
Small, comfortable boat, 18 cabins, great food, well organized excursions, super cruise director and guides.
