Also, be sure and join your roll call on these forums. Perhaps you will connect with some solo travelers on your cruise and you can plan dinners together.

Is the WiFi coverage pretty reliable throughout the ship?
On the Regal last December the coverage was fantastic. On the Crown a couple years ago it was not good at all.

We will keep an eye on the warnings but still plan on keeping our Mexican Rivera cruises and Western Caribbean cruise.

Looks like a good promo. :):):)

Thank you for your review. I enjoy comparison reviews. I definitely want to try a Celebrity but seems I keep booking Princess.

Absolutely. We had 9 ships in port while we were there. This is a beautiful island and one of my favorites. I can't imagine staying on the ship. We did Joyce Prince as a private tour and loved it. But, there are cheaper options. Look through this thread as well as Trip Advisor. We didn't find it too crowded. Yes, when we returned from our tour Phillipsburg was hopping but we still found a bar on the boardwalk to enjoy some drinks and food with a view.

I start packing about 3-7 days before my cruise. I can't wait until the last minute but I don't pack that far in advance.

Yup, the AIBP is a total scam.
Sorry that was your experience. We booked a cruise that we took last December on the Regal before the AIBP was offered for that cruise. When the AIBP promo came out we were able to get it without any change to our pricing. We loved it and didn't feel it was a scam at all. I recently added the AIBP to two cruises I booked before the recent promo and our price didn't change on those either.

I don't get irritated by them. It's easy to just delete if I am not interested.

The Atrium area is beautiful and the venues that surround it are great! The International Cafe is larger with more tables. The buffet is amazing and it's easy to get seats.

What a wonderful review. Thank you. Congrats on your marriage.

They have the 49 day Royal repositioning from FLL to LA around the Horn. That's a 2019 cruise and is definitely listed. :)
If only I was retired!! Sounds like a great cruise.

Hi. It has been a long time since I cruised RCI. I was just on the website and having some issues looking at cruises. Could be my IPad. Can you please tell me what ships sail the Caribbean in the summer. Specifically 2018 if you know. Also, do you have favorites and why?

I sailed on Plaza on the Sapphire in the 300 range and loved it. Didn't hear any noise from the Casino. It was nice to take a quick walk down the hall in the early morning and grab a cup of coffee at he coffee bar. I have also sailed once in a 200 series cabin on the Sapphire - balcony on Baja and didn't feel much motion. I guess I would suggest you go with Plaza just to be sure.

Thank you for a very informative review. I enjoyed reading it. Aqua class sounds amazing.

Nice! I love, love, love Roatan.

Has anyone done the private tour solo? I know what I want to do and just need a driver for the day. Do you think you would have felt comfortable/safe on the tour if you had been alone?
I would feel safe. Normally I would say no not to do a private tour solo. But VB is very reputable. Ask for Tex. We have him next year. I would tour with him solo anytime. You might read through the thread for some other VB guide recommendations.

It is safe. Use the same precautions you would in an major city.

You might also look at Trip Advisor.
St Maarten google Joyce Prince tours. She's amazing. We loved our tour. You can ask for suggestions or let her know some things you want to do. It's a beautiful island. Be sure and go to Serafina's Bakery if you like pastries. We had plenty of time to walk into Phillipsburg after our tour. A short walk.
-
St Thomas for sure. Definitely not Amber Cove.

We loved our tour with them in 2009 and have Tex from VB tours booked in 2018. We booked an "open" tour where we can choose anything we want to do. It might be the same as the tour you booked but not sure. Can you post the description of your tour and I can post what we did for the day. Also, it would be good to know what you like to do.

When we cruised the Regal Club 6 was very active each night until 1am or so. I think it might vary from cruise to cruise. I found it the same for Skywalker's on the Grand Class ships.

For those who haven't sailed Celebrity, this is the Sky Lounge...something I really wish they had on Princess' newer ships.
Wow!! Very nice.

Thank you for your review. I always enjoy comparison reviews.

I don't remember seeing board games. To be on the safe side I would suggest you bring the games you want.
