  1. Just looked on trip advisor forum, the chemists are called Drogaria Pacheco and most do the testing, he asked where we were staying and fortunately there is one about 200 metres from our Hotel and can find how to get there from Google maps.

  2. I’ve also thought of going down this route, the only thing is that it says the certificate is published in the UK so may not be acceptable to MSC. I’ve been on the Brazil Forum with trip advisor and someone from Brazil said that most pharmacies can do the test. I’ll have a look back on there and post the link.

  3. We have an email from MSC stating that it is 48 hours before the cruise. Testing is turning out to be a nightmare especially not speaking Portuguese, I know Rool that you have tried to help with the testing, which is appreciated, so decided to wait to see if Hotel can help.

  4. Please can anyone tell me if Barcardi superior white rum is included in the Easy drinks package on the MSC Bellissima? I ask as I am getting conflicting answers some say it’s Appleton rum. When I google MSC Easy package it say Barcardi, Beefeater Gin and Smirnoff vodka others say it’s priced at 6.50 euros so isn’t. Someone sailing/sailed on the Bellissima must have the answer. I have pre ordered the Easy package and it’s included on another sailing as we have booked Auerea so I need to upgrade if it’s not included. Thank you so much .

  5. Hi, Has anyone stayed stayed in this Cabin and was it noisy from the Buffet above, I wouldnt have chosen this Cabin  myself but I wasnt present when "the girls" booked it for birthday celebrations in February.

    Thanks

  6. Does anyone know if the cruise coupon booklet contains laundry or internet coupons ? We are on the Splendida for 17 nights so before I book in advance for laundry and internet I thought the booklet might contain coupons for these items. I believe they are like you get with RCI and Celebrity when you are Elite passengers, we will be sailing as black card members. Thanks in advance.

  7. We have the drinks package included on our booking, we booked AI Fantastica Balcony, but I dont know where it appears on the cruise personalizer, please can anyone help, or maybe it doesnt show, however on the cruise enhancer it says it can be added to our booking. We haven't cruised with MSC before so not sure how anything works. I have been able to status match and that is showing, any input would be grateful, thanks in advance.

  8. Thank you all for your quick responses. Probably should stick with what we have booked but i was a little concerned as to what we should do when we arrive so early into LAX but sknight has given us a few options, so thank you all, DH said we should have plenty of time with the Southwest flight but that's men all over, likes to live on a knife edge ....I knew by posting on here that I would receive the correct information.:D

  9. Hi,

I need a little help, our UK TA has booked us on a Delta flight at 06.20am from LV to LA but we think this is far too early as the cruise leaves at 4pm. We are looking at flying with Southwest airlines at 11.20 arriving 12.35, do you knowledgable Americans think this would be do-able, there is an alternative with United 09.50 arriving 10.59 but this is more expensive and as the Delta flight ticket the TA has booked is non-refundable, we are looking at our options, also am I right that the cruise port is about 1 hour away from LAX airport, also what are the best options to get to the cruise port, taxi or super shuttle, many thanks x

  10. We have just received our luggage tags and it states on them 20kg maximum per bag. Has anyone had an experience with Cunard if your bag is 23kgs? I know in Southampton they aren't too strict but we are joing the QM2 in Cape Town and we have 23kgs of luggage as allowed by the airline, so it is a little frustrating if we have to take an extra bag if Cunard's bag handlers only allow 20kgs. Thanks

  11. Ship: Eclipse

    Cabin: 1084

    Deck: 10

    Area: Midship

Bed: A very nice cabin layout

    Quiet: No

    Inside Cabin: Yes

Problems/Comments: This Cabin is very noisy in the middle of the night. From previous comments it sounded as though the problem was from the Crew Only door next to this Cabin. We checked on arrival and found inside the Crew Only door old blankets and pillows, not a problem. For 3 nights we suffered intense noise which usually started around 4am, there was, what sounded like gushing water followed by objects being thrown around. On further investigation we found out what the nosie was.

From the Deck plan Cabin 1084 looks like it is the end Cabin with nothing on the other side, however, you enter 1084 from the port-side and if you go on to the starboard side you see a room called the "Dirty Room", this room is where the noise comes from, the Crew are washing the fruit and crates using a massive power washer and then throwing/stacking them. The sink in this room butts up the Cabin wall and therefore makes the Cabin un-believably nosiy therefore you are awakened every night and subjected to severe noise. We were moved after 3 nights.

  12. Does anyone know if Princess provide kettles in the Staterooms, on their sailings from Southampton? We didn't expect them on the Sapphire around Asia but it seems the Chinese like to have tea in their cabins, so they were provided. Thanks

  13. Andy, your concerns about using a mobile scooter when housekeeping trollies are out, it is difficult to pass them in the hallways, saw this a couple of times on Emerald deck. Our cabin was a deluxe balcony and it protruded out further into the hallway, it might be worth checking if they have deluxe balconies on your deck and where they are situated so you can navigate to either the central elevators or the aft ones. We were situated nearer to the central elevators but they took ages and became frustrating at times, so we always took the aft ones instead but we are mobile, so no biggy for us.
