Can you confirm if you say Dubai, that they are adding back in the 7 night cruises from Dubai? Also do you have the itinerary for the Venice to Dubai transition / date?
They do show Splendour from Dubai. Not sure how long the cruises will be or what itins they'll sail. None of the itins will be available until these cruises open for booking.

So, no more ships from NOLA.
Btw would love to see the repositioning from EX all the way to Asia. Any idea if she goes before or after dry dock to Asia?
Looks like no winter caribbean from NOLA.. I guess they figure by sending the larger Liberty to replace Navigator in TX, the LA cruisers can still drive to TX.
I don't have any of the itins.. just which ships are going where and the dates they open. Once they open for booking, the itins will be posted.
OK, now you have me real curious! I'm going to assume you probably work either for RCCL or for some firm that does a whole lot of business with RCCL! But that was not a question, its none of my business and you'd probably list it if you wanted to reveal that. :)
I don't work for RCCL.. :D -
You didn't respond at all - hope you didn't take my post as negative in any way, simply in awe! :) And not surprised that you have confidential deployment info after 98 cruises!
Sorry,... I didn't mean to ignore your question. Yes, I've been on over 129 cruises.. those are the only ones I can remember.
I received the deployment info because I work in the cruise industry.. not because I've sailed them so many time. LOL -
Does anyone have any inside information on what ship will be home porting in Baltimore for the summer of 2015?
Thanks. Did the RCI reps give me the correct info that Anthems winter Caribbean sailings will open for C&A members on March 12.
Yes, I can confirm that's the date on my list for C&A member bookings only. :D -
I have the full deployment schedule for 2015-16 that lists each ship/itinerary and when they'll be open for sale. Unfortunately RCCL does not want the opening dates made public, so I can't help there but to clear up all the speculation on which ship will be where.. here you go:
EUROPE-- RH, SP, AD, BR, SR, VI, AN
WINTER CARIBBEAN- AN (from FLL), AD (From Pt. Canaveral), AL (FLL), FR (Pt. Can), OA (FLL), SR (FLL)
SUMMER CARIBBEAN-- LB (Galveston), NV (San Juan)
FALL BERMUDA-- QN
HAWAII/AUSTRALIA- EX, RD, VY, LG
WINTER CARIBBEAN- BR (Tampa), GR (Baltimore), JW (San Juan), LB (Galveston), NV (San Juan), QN (Bayonne), VI (Tampa)
SHORT CRUISE/BAHAMAS-- EN (Pt. Can), ID (FLL) and MJ (MIA)
BRAZIL/S. AMERICA-- RH
DUBAI-- SP
CHINA-- EX, LG, MA, VY
WINTER SINGAPORE-- MA
I agree with you that Liberty will be going to Galveston but where in the deployment schedule do you see that.
I have the deployment schedule listed by ship and itinerary as well as the actual date they'll be open for booking. This is confidential info and RCCL does not want it posted or communicated to the public. -
So true. Royal have not confirmed anything yet!
Patience is the word.
The blog and loyalty officers are not gospel.
Liberty of the Seas could still be coming to Oz in 2015.
Not gonna happen..:D
Per the 2015-16 deployment schedule.. LB will replace NV in Galveston and NV will move to San Juan.
Explorer is heading to China and Australia/NZ.
Bookings will be open mid-March. -
Navigator is scheduled to be in Galveston through April 2015.
the question is which ship is in Galveston after that.
Based on the 2015-16 deployment schedule.. Liberty will replace NV in Galveston and NV will be moving to SJ -
I also like the fact that a large Voyager ship does the summer cruises from San Juan, the Radiance ships are more flexible for other areas.
Then JEWEL seems to sail Alaska and West Coast during the summer period 2015, but she seems to return in winter to SJU, so both JEWEL and NAVIGATOR sail from SJU in winter 2015.
Does anyone have an idea where ADVENTURE could go than, because she seems to be deployed somewhere else than??
AD is on the 2015-16 deployment schedule for cruises from FL to the Caribbean.. not sure which port she'll be based out of yet though. -
RCI already has 2 ships in PC, and the Ex is coming for a winter season next year, it has been reported that RCI is going to place another ship in PC full time, so maybe the EX will stay. Carnival had 3 ships for a while but have pulled one recently, looks like they are now replacing it
EX is on the 2015-16 deployment schedule for cruises from China and Australia/NZ.

Here's the link to the flyer with all of RH's Europe Itins:

The 3 times we've cruised to Alaska there was a band by the pool on very rare occassions and it was not a Caribbean Reggae band. You won't find many poolside activities in Alaska like you would a warmer climate.. but the scenery is so beautiful you won't miss it.

I doubt any hotel near the Orlando airport will offer a shuttle to the port, however you could always purchase the cruise line transfers and take the hotel shuttle back to the airport the following morning to catch the RCCL bus or you could hire a private shuttle (Google for company names).

So singles won't be able to book a double occupancy cabin?
This shouldn't be an issue since there are very few ships with single occupancy cabins. My guess is singles will be restricted to booking a double occupancy cabin rather than a triple/quad
-
Well, lets see what happens because I just did a June 2015 booking about 20 miniutes ago and booked connecting cabins, for two passengers each, that have a listed capacity of over two. Sure would hate to loose these two cabins.
You should be fine with the connecting cabins as RCCL told me the occupancy restrictions would be overridden if it meant keeping families together etc.
Another change coming soon is all connecting cabins are going to be sold in pairs and designated as IC, OC, BC (Interior connecting, Oceanview connecting, Balcony connecting. This is similar to the 3 cabin configuration offered on Quantum with the Single, Balcony and JS all interconnected as one cabin.
-
Book it for 3 people. :D
The issue will be when you cancel the (fake) 3rd person.. RCCL will move you to a double occupancy cabin.
They are now getting occupancy compliance reports and will be contacting people that have booked a cabin that hold more than their party.
-
 WHAT?! Lord have mercy, I have just barely started making heads or tails of the current categories! :$
It should make things easier as they're elimiating a lot of categories.. For example on Oasis class it will affect 1200 cabins.
-
RCCL is recatagorizing all cabin categories with the 2015 deployment. The categories will be based on the cabin occupancy, thereby making it easier to determine which cabins are double/triple/quad etc.
In addition, they will be putting occupancy restrictions so that a booking with only 2 people will not be allowed to book a triple or quad.
Each new deck plan will be available as each ship opens for 2015-16 deployment with the exception of Majesty and Grandeur who's cabin categories will remain as they currently are.

The nightclub for dancing on the Vision will be in the Viking Crown Lounge which IMHO is a much better venue than the Catacombs on Liberty since you have floor to ceiling windows in the VCL.
As for the comedy shows.. it all depends on the comedians they book. You have a 50/50 chance of it being good. ;) IMHO the only really funny comedians I've seen on RCCL in a long time have been in the Comedy Clubs on Oasis and Allure and I think a lot of it had to do with it being an Adults Only venue and the comedians didn't have to censor their material or topics. Even though they run an "Adults Only" comedy show in the main theatre, a lot of people will ignore the "Adults Only" notice and bring their kids, so the comedians seem to hold back from their normal routine. Only on 2 different cruises did I see them perform no holds barred with kids in the audience.
Vision is a great ship.. I've sailed her a dozen times since she came out in 1998 and never had a bad cruise. I've not yet sailed her since her refurb, however I'm booked on her 10 night Bermuda in Aug. and I'm most looking forward to the newly added specialty restaurants.
The menus will be standard RCCL, so if you can expect the MDR food to be similar to what you had on Liberty, unless you sailed prior to Liberty getting the new menus they introduced last year.

That's why I'm here. I HOPE it's the shakedown cruise blues. For everyone's sake. I have no other cruises to compare it to. This was my first.
There was a booking snafu as well that I didn't relate the details of. Basically I didn't get the cabin class I paid for, was denied a refund of the difference, and wasn't offered a change of cabins until halfway through the cruise.
The mechanical issues are shakedown issues. The service issues are I hope just staffing and training issues. The booking side of things is a corporate issue.
All rolled together it doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth when my friends who just returned on the Carnival Magic from a 7-day cruise paid less than I did and had none of the issues.
They're going to give me a credit toward future cruise certificate, and I'll probably end up using it because I'm a cheapskate, and 20% is significant. But it will not be without apprehension.
I'm sure the service issues were due to the fact that a lot of the crew went home prior to drydock and only signed back onto the ship the day you boarded. When crew return from vacation, they have training, orientation, safety drills etc for the first 2 weeks which limits their working hours. I'm sure in the next few weeks any service related issues will work themselves out.

Package or not... I will tip the bar staff at the end of the cruise. The amount given depends on how much time we've spent with each bartender.
Deployment schedule: let the guessing begin!

Sorry, RCCL doesn't want the dates made public. All I can say, is you won't have to wait more than a month. :D
