  1. We're staying in 1406 in September! I've been researching aft cabins and came up with these pictures.

    Go to the bottom of the second page. They are of cabin 1706, but it is right next door to 1406.

    I booked another cruise yesterday on the Liberty of the Seas. Our first AFT Jr. Suite. It is not until 2010, but the rates were so good and I got the cabin I have been wanting! Never been on an AFT before!

    Got my Botox injections today so at least I won't have wrinkles for several months!!!!;)

    GA Peaches - So happy for your cruise in August!! January can't get here soon enough! San Francisco is so beautiful! Ya'll are going to love it!! What are your ports on your cruise?

     

    Kreep - Curves seems like a great place! I have friends in Atlanta that go and love it! Thanks for the fitday.com suggestion. I think that will help me alot!

     

    Jocelyn - 1 lb. is great! Just get back on it and no telling what you will lose by next week!

     

    Sirwinston - Thank you so much for your words! I think I need to eliminate my coffee for a while. I know that instant cream is bad and if the cream I get looks yucky, well I can just not drink it. Maybe some hot tea would be better!

    Donna - You go girl!!! It must have felt wonderful zipping up those jeans you haven't worn in a while! I can't wait until I can do the same. I will even be glad when the ones I wear now are not do darn tight!!:D

    Mel - Welcome!! I want to weigh less and be healthier for my cruise in Jan. as well!! It is my hubby's 50th birthday and I want to take some pictures with him that I can treasure!!

     

    Sirwinston - You are so right...I am obviously allowing in carbs. I know one thing is my instant cream in my coffee in the morning. I can't find a real half-n-half here. I found one cream that tasted good, but curdeled in the coffee. Any suggestions? I only have 2 cups each morning...but it tastes soooo good! Also, what do you snack on in the evenings before bed when you get the munchies???? I don't crave sweets.

  6. Hello Everyone!!!! Congrats to Donna (down 20lbs) and Sirwinston (down 15lbs)!!!! Wow, that is so fantastic! I am so happy for you guys!!!

     

    Well my 2 week weigh-in showed no additional loss. So I am still down 2 lbs. with 54 lbs. to go. When I got on the scales, my heart dropped with disappointment:( , but then I held my head up and went on about my day. I know it would be so easy for me to say "oh, to heck with it...this is not working". However, I know I haven't eated this healthy in years, and I know it is going to be slow. Going to rev up my walking and water this week!

     

    I got my cookbook from Sugar Free Shelia and it is great!!! If any of you haven't been to her website, just add a .com to the above and check it out. What a sweetheart!!! Her website and this thread gives me so much inspiration!

     

    So NO to CARBS!!! Have a great day!!!

  7. Welcome MSBelle! So glad you joined us! I only been around a little over a week, but everyone on this thread is great and has given me inspiration to get this weight off!

     

    Sirwinston, I love chicken! Although I don't eat the bones, I can make them look like a cat has been knawing on them!!!

     

    Don't know how much weight I have lost this week (weigh-in Monday), but I know I have eaten a better diet, started walking again (2 times), and haven't had a drink. This is BIG for me! I feel so much better and really am not very hungry. When I cut out those terrible carbs, I am not as hungry and my portions decrease! Imagine that!!!

     

    Happy Friday to all! Keep posting...the weekends are the hardest for me!

  8. Ok Lisa and Erica...We Southern Girls are going to get this weight OFF!!!!

    I was born and raised in Mendenhall, MS...about 30 miles south of Jackson. Hubby is in the oil business and we have been in living in Colombia, South America for the last 5 years. This is when I have added the 55 lbs. I don't work anymore, have a maid 6 days a week, all of which are great but my health has suffered (high BP and CHOL). Heck, I can't hardly bend over to put on socks!!!

     

    My problem is not sweets. It is portions! I love to eat! My portions have been like a football player! I do like something in the evenings, so I have been saving my one Coke Zero to use as a dessert. I think it has held me back though from losing weight. My plan is to try to stop that next Monday. I am doing much better on drinking water, but still need to increase it. And exercise...well Monday also!

     

    I am just trying to do better slowly but SURELY. I have taken Sirwinston's and Sugar Free Shelia's advise to not just eat meat this time around on Adkins, but eat alot (and I mean alot) of veggies along with meat.

  9. Hi Everyone! Wanted to let you know I added some cream cheese to my egg white omelet and it was so creamy and good! Ha! It is funny how little things make you so happy!!!

     

    I am going to make a taco salad for dinner. Luckily my hubby has decided to join me on this quest. It makes it so much easier.

     

    Hope to see some posts from you guys!!!

     

    Down - 2 lbs/Start date - 7/14, More to go- 53 lbs.

  10. Well it is Monday weigh-in...down 2 lbs!!! Considering I didn't feel like I lost anything, I am pleased. Hope to incorporate exercise this week (walking).

     

    Thanks Sirwinston for your encouragement! I have read the Adkins book and am ready to lose this weight! Would you mind reprinting your before and after photos? They are very inspiring for us newbies to see! I saw them somewhere in the beginning of the thread. Do you mind telling us how much from the beginning you have lost?

     

    Erica, you are from MS? I am from Mendenhall, but am living in Bogota Colombia for 5 years due to my husband's work. The change in world's have cost me 55 lbs! I bet it is hot at home now!!!! Keep up your hard work on the diet! We MS girls can do it!!!!

  11. Well, after reading this thread from beginning to end, I am on board with Adkins! I also went to sugar free shelia dot com and got her cookbook. What a sweetheart! She emailed me a personal message! I love her website!

     

    My start day was 7/14 so my first weigh-in is in the morning. Don't really feel like I have dropped any weight or inches, but I am determined to loose this 55 pounds I have put on the last 5 years. My blood pressure and cholesterol are very high and I am on medication for both. I am tired of my clothes being so tight. So I am in!!!

     

    Let's do this together!!!
