Would you mind reviewing the Reflection after your cruise?  We are booked on the transatlantic in October and my husband wants to cancel because of all the cutbacks in the food area.  We were on the Constellation in March and ate in the MDR every evening and the food selections and quality were disappointing.

I am Elite with Princess and have three cruises post COVID with them.   I cannot recommend.   Lots of issues and food was mediocre in MDR and buffet.    Have two Edge cruises post COVID both remarkably excellent on all fronts.

I am booked on the Reflection in two weeks.  Fingers crossed the Celebrity experience continues to please.

We were on a Connie 11-night cruise in March.  Although it sounded very good, the Braised Lamb in phyllo wasn't good and was way too salty.  I couldn't eat it.  As I recall, my entrees were substandard for three evening meals in the MDR.

We were on Connie's 11 night too on March 6 sailing.  We had a table for 8 and ate every night in the Main Dining Room.  None of my tablemates came away hungry but food selections were inconsistent.  One evening 4 people ordered the breaded pork chop.  Three were not edible and one was fine.

The beef selections were also inconsistent.  The evening we ordered Steak Diane rare and mine came well done and my husband's medium.  Most of us ordered prime rib the last night and it was sliced paper thin and even though we all ordered medium rare some got well done etc.  One night my husband and I ordered the beef toronedos and we could not cut into it as it was so tough and fatty.

Most every night someone at our table ordered the fish selection.  The portions were so small that everyone started ordering 2 fish entrees.  On a positive note, soups were always good and the desserts did not disappoint.  Midway though the cruise the maitre 'd came to our table with one of the chefs and asked our honest opinion of the food selections.  Everyone agreed that the beef selections were not acceptable and consistency was a problem.  Having been on 50+ cruises mostly on Royal or Celebrity we always looked forward to our evening meal in the main dining room but that is not the case anymore.  Instead of trying to decide between 2 entrees (as in previous cruises) we settle on one and hope it is acceptable.

We have been on 4 Celebrity cruises since the shutdown and have a cruise on the Reflection transatlantic in October.  We will probably cancel.

  3. Thank you for taking time to leave a review of your cruise.  I gleened alot of information as my husband and I will be on the March 6 cruise on the Constellation.  On the past 2 Celebrity cruises I have been on I was cold during the evening hours.  I ended up buying some wraps at the $10 sale and used them the entire cruise.  How was the temperature on your cruise?

  4. My family (14 of us) were on Oasis of the Seas over Thanksgiving.  On the second day of the cruise my husband was exhibiting Covid symptoms.  We took home tests with us and he tested positive.  I called medical and told them he had covid and asked someone to come to our cabin as he was really sick in bed.  They told me he had to come down to Medical and Medical closed at 7:30 pm.  We made the decision not to go.  For the remainder of the cruise we did not receive a call or inquiry as to how he was doing.  He was really sick for 3 days before he started feeling better.  He isolated in our room.  I had packed some cough and cold meds so we managed.  If you have Covid while on a Royal cruise and I presume Celebrity (as they are under the same umbrella) they do not want to know.

I have not heard much about COVID on ships lately.  I am sure it must still be there but do they still quarantine passengers in cabins without access to fresh air?  Can anyone on recent cruises relate their experience regarding COVID.  Thanks

  5. I was quarantined on Brilliance in May.  We were on a B2B and I got Covid on the 8th day.  We stayed on ship until I tested negative in Athens.  We just got a notification that the days I was quarantined were refunded to our credit card.  Before you leave the ship make sure you get a paper that states the first day you tested positive and get a seperate Certificate of Recovery.  Even though I was on RCCL the protocols seem to be the same.

  6. We have FCC's worth $1800 from a cancelled Asia cruise.  We have attempted to use the FCC's on 3 more cruises that were cancelled by Royal.  The latest was Rhapsody in late December.  The email notification I received said the new FCC would be issued on February 12.  We found another cruise on Brilliance that we have on HOLD until the FCC's are released.  Finally, on Feb. 19 our travel agent received notice that one of the FCC's has been released.  Great, right?  Today our agent tried to book the cruise using the FCC's and was notified that even though the FCC was released they have not yet put the money in.  This is balony!!!!    Why would they issue an FCC that cannot be used because they have not put the $$$$ on it????  Anyone else had this problem?

  7. We had an Asia cruise cancelled and have moved the FCC's from that cruise to 3 other cruises that have all been cancelled.  The last cruise that was cancelled was Rhapsody of the Seas in late December.  We found another cruise on the Brilliance leaving Tampa in April 2022 that we want to use the FCC's on.  The cancellation letter we received from Royal said our FCC's would be issued on February 12. On February 19 my travel agent notified me that he had received the FCC's to be applied to the Brilliance booking.  He tried to use them and Royal informed him that the money has not been imported to the FCC's.  This is balony!!!  Why are they issuing FCC's but not loading them with the $$$$$.  We have FCC's totaling $1800 and I want to use them for deposits as I do not want to put any more money into cruises that might not happen.f  Has anyone else had this problem?

  8. We are booked on the Eclipse for April 4 and April 18, 2021.  Because these cruises are very "iffy" we want to LIFT and SHIFT to the Solstice in April 10, 2022.   When I put in my reservation number on the online Lift and Shift site it says res number not recognized.  What am I missing?  HELP

  9. We have a $900 FCC to be used by December 2021.  We would like to use the FCC as a deposit on a future cruise.  The cruise I am looking at only has a $450 deposit.  If I apply the FCC to the deposit ($450) can the unused portion of the FCC be applied to the price of the cruise?

  10. We hired a photographer to get family pictures on our Oasis cruise.  You need to go to the photography studio and make an appointment.  We had our pictures taken in a private room in the photo studio.  There were 14 in our family.  The following day we had rented 2 beach bungalows on Labadee and he met us on the island and took more pictures of our family and my husband and me.  We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.  In all he took 100 pictures and we chose to buy 30 digitals to the tune of $1600.  Not cheap but well worth the memories for years to come of this once in a lifetime event.

  11. We are going on a family cruise with 4 children, ages 4-7.  I am not familiar with the ins and outs of the kids club.  Do we register the kids when we get on the ship for the week or do we have to go thru the process every time we want to leave them.  Do they have a "maximum" number each level can accommodate?  Does that fluctuate?  I could use some advise from parents who have had experience with the kids club on Oasis.  Thanks a bunch!

  12. We have 2 beach bungalows reserved for our family of 14 on Oasis.  We would like them to be next to eachother but have read that we need to wait until we are onboard to reserve our location.  We are Diamond+  and am wondering if the Concierge would be able to assist us in getting bungalows together.

  13. The speciality coffee card is being offered for $31.00 for 15 speciality coffees.  When I read the fine print it says that Starbucks coffees are excluded.  I was under the impression that Starbucks was included.  Has the policy changed?  Also, if I have Starbucks gift cards can I use them on the ship?  If you have purchased the speciality coffee card I would appreciate your comments.  Thanks.

  14. We booked 5 central park balcony cabins on Oasis for our family.  One cabin is for 4, and 3 cabins are for 3 people.  My question is when more than 2 people are booked in the cabin can they also take advantage of the dining perk that is part of the package.  It clearly says lunch for 2 is included at 3 different venues.  Has anyone who has booked more than 2 people in the central park balcony been able to include all people who are booked in that stateroom for the free lunch?  I appreciate your feedback, and thanks.

I have booked our party of 9 on the Cruise Planner for MTD but I have a question about the kids club. There will be 3 kids, 7, 10 and 11, with us. Will they be picked up and if so what time frame? We aren't familiar with RCCL Kids club.

I want to book a party of 10 for MTD and can't figure out how to do it on the Cruise Planner.  All I see is planning for the Speciality Dining packages.  Where do I look to make reservations for MTD or traditional dining?  Thanks in advance for any help offered.

  16. We are doing a cruise on Oasis and I am conflicted about what kind of dining times will work for our family.  We have a 4, 5, 6 and 7 year old little ones plus 3 teenagers.  The 4 smaller kids are very picky eaters and probably would not do well in the main dining room.  The 3 teenagers would enjoy the main dining rom along with the parents.  If we take the younger ones to the Windjammer early for dinner can we take them to the kids club so the teenagers and adults can enjoy a dinner in the main dining room?  Any advise from families who have dealt with this issue would be appreciated.

  17. We are very interested in a cruise from Singapore for 2021.  Seems we cannot book online as the office is closed until Monday.  The one question I have is the required deposit refundable if we cancel before the final payment date.  After reading several websites I am still not clear on this issue.  Also, does Costa follow other cruise lines that offer a refundable or non-refundable option?  Thanks for any information.

That is a nice spot! I would think it would be too windy to play card games back there though 🧐

We have been able to play games in the My Time Dining room on sea days.  Usually the time posted is 2 pm to 4 pm.  We were on the Jewel last February and I remember playing cards in the room off the Windjammer in the afternoons.
