  1. My husband and I were on the TA on Vision last Fall.   The ship stopped in Nassau.  We spent about 2 hours in Nassau and then decided to return to the ship.  When we went to security to return to the ship we showed our sea pass card but were told we needed additional identification, either a driver's license or passport.  We were told that someone would escort us back to the ship where we could show them additional ID.  We waited by a guard house for close to an hour as more people showed up with the same scenario.  After the group was getting increasingly agitated at the situation we were escorted back to the ship and contrary to what they said about showing ID they just let us board.  My point is, this may have happened to other cruisers who were returning to the ship in Nassau close to departure time thereby missing the ship.  We are seasoned cruisers (40+) and have never previously had this issue.  On our next cruise we will definitely remember to take additional ID.

This was one of the menus from the Nov TA, the entrees changed daily (and maybe dessert) the rest stayed the same. Both DH and I ate from it several times and the food was generally good, I did have a lamb dish one night that was very fatty. It was nice to have something a bit more spicy and with more flavour than most cruise food, I often find the food on ships very bland.IMG_20181108_204345.thumb.jpg.83bd2c0b6c92d3130ced50fe7e9b87a0.jpg

Thank You!!  This just what I was looking for.

  4. I received an email from Royal yesterday about some new deployment cruises with dates in 2019. I picked the April 23, 2019 cruise on Explorer from Sydney to Seattle. The booking went fine until I got to the payment page which would not load. I tried 5 times to book. I called the 800 number and got an agent from another country that was hard to understand. I decided to wait until morning to book. Great, the price went up $140 per person. Just for curiosity I tried to book. I could get the same cabin as the previous night and all the same cabins were available. Then I got the same problem I had last night. The booking would not go thru. Being frustrated I called Crown and Anchor and basically they would not honor the price I tried to book even though I was prevented from booking the cruise at the lower price. A supervisor confirmed that there was nothing they could do. She said they update the system around midnight (when I tried to book) and that was probably the internet issue. I told her I had the same issue this morning so the updating should not be an issue. I'm frustrated. Anyone else with similar issues??? Any suggestions?

  5. We have a cruise booked and paid for September. We contacted Royal to have our shareholder credit applied and they said we weren't entitled to it because another credit had been applied to our booking. We have used the shareholder credit several times with no issues. We emailed them and told them that the credit was issued from the cruise agency and requested the shareholder credit. We have not had any response from them and are wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem. Did RCCL change their policy regarding the shareholder credit being combined with a cruise agency credit? Thanks for any info you can provide.

After numerous attempts to get our shareholder credit applied to our 10 day cruise we were finally successful after calling Investor Relations. If you are experiencing similar issues I would definitely recommend you go right to the source if RCCL reps deny the credit.
