  1. Four times! Wow, that is awesome! Where are you going?

This cruise of course. 2 weeks camping in our trailer. Northern Idaho, vacation/property hunting, and Pismo Beach. It becomes costly when you add in house-sitters for the fur/feather babies. Hopefully gas price won't skyrocket anytime soon. Although we will be taking a couple of the dogs camping with the other 2 angry that they weren't chosen. It's a toss up every year. :( They all LOVE camping.

  2. My daughter has an iPhone 6, I have a 6+. Both running the same iOS. Yes, it's crazy that one worked and not the other. I thought maybe it was a setting difference but my daughter tried to create a login for me on her phone with the same result. One thing I didn't check is to get a new cruise card. One of the login elements is the last three digits of the code on the back of the cruise card. Just thought of that now.

Thank you I'll take note if I have troubles. You know when your in vacation mode it's not always easy to shift our brain back to discrepancy investigation mode. Or is that me aging, gracefully. and wanting to vacate my work for a while. ;)

  3. Thank you all!!

This is an excellent question. Do you know if the serve almond or even soy milk when the pass out the cookies and milk?

I don't know if they serve it with the afternoon cookies since my DS and I have milk allergies (chocolate chips too) If someone doesn't have an answer and you've searched, start a new thread. :)

But I do know that all cruise lines use a plain soy milk...blaak! So we bring the Very Vanilla Silk singles, DS will drink the plain mixed with chocolate syrup, if dairy free syrup. I have other health issues that I'm not to use too much soy. And now I've added some Almond milk singles to my list.

  4. The fridge holds very little! You'll have to make a choice as to what's more important to keep cool...

Sorry, I should have expanded on my take on "A Lot". Soy and almond milk singles are more square and with a few Pepsi and club sodas and the ice bucket if feels like a lot. I do thank you and Thrak too for taking the time to respond. Emails and calls to Princess come with the response that they can't foresee what will be brought on in future cruises, even though ours is coming soon. I just am seeing if I can omit from my extensive packing list. Like that's easy when driving to the port.

  5. Just off Crown last week and we did not see any. I did not specifically ask for any but I'm positive I didn't see any. Depending on where you are going, you could just bring your own supply, they mini-fridge will hold a good amount.

Thank you! I just hate having to add more to the Pepsi, Soy milk (good stuff) and Club soda that's already on my list. It is a good thing the fridge (loosely used) hold a lot of things including the ice bucket to keep it cooler. But then again we are only doing a 7 day and aren't taking a lot.

P.S. Thank you for posting the patters!! I enjoyed seeing the activities and such for an idea of the MR itinerary. ;)

  6. We tell them right away. Their excitement might wane, but it does give them time to get used to the idea of being on a BIG boat in the middle of the ocean. Show them the stuff they'll be doing and I'm sure video games will sweeten the deal. Good Luck and Happy Sailing!! :D

  7. So far for us it's Disney, hands down. Their programs don't shut down at lunch and dinner as other lines do. They have almost a whole deck just for kids. And if your kids want to stay instead of having dinner with you they do help insure your kids eat something, and are cautious with food allergies, DS has one. And, if I remember right the clubs have extended hours without you having to pay extra. But Disney is expensive. Most likely because they don't have a casino, have such a great kids program and characters always somewhere. You can catch them coming and going from a door between the kids area and theater. Did I mention their shows are way better and you can CARRYON hard alcohol and beer, and free soda too. Just sayin'.... :D

  8. The donuts are ready in the IC 4:15 am. I am been woken out of a sound sleep in the smell of fresh bakery ! They are probably the best I have ever had. The apple donut, which is not produced every day is especially wonderful. The cronut has to be eaten when it is fresh as it goes from heavenly to huh in a few hours.

what is not to like with these goodies? How can you not like the perfect combination of fat and sugar?

Oh no, this isn't so good. I thought staying down the hall from the IC wouldn't be so bad up till now. Now I'm worried I will wake up every morning sick and with a migraine. :( Now praying for the upgrade fairy. Thanks for the heads up.

  9. Medication - Take the Rx paper only and put the scrip meds in something small. I use the small medicine zip bags. Never had a problem with cruises or flights.

Dining clothing options - Think about taking 2 casual outfits and 1 formal. Wear your boarding clothes to dinner the first night days 1, 1 outfit on days 3 & 5, the other outfit on days 4 & 7 and your formal on day 2 & 6. You only wear these clothes for a few hours and no one cares as the previous poster said. I now create an excel spread sheet. ;)

If we drive to the port or other destinations, all bets are off and the multitude of luggage happens. :D

If you take a over the door shoe holder do it small, like some other poster said there is plenty of storage. I have hanging toiletry bags and there are shelves in the bathrooms too.

FYI - The ship moves so things can roll off tables and counters.

Happy sailing and ENJOY your first cruise!!

  10. Sorry, no souvenir cup. :(

Thanks, Right there's my deal breaker!! You'd think that would have sweetened to pot, so to speak. :D

Hope all is well where your at!! Listening to the Special Report on right now and praying for those involved. Very sad! :(
