We have disembarked early. You need to notify NCL so they can mark the reservation with the right notations and then they will notify the ship of your intentions. We did not have to pay any fee.
-
The sailing is listed on the NCL site again

Congrats on scoring the Owners suite!!! Can someone explain the up sell for me. Are you paying $1000 each or in total, and is that subject to added taxes? For example, your original price + tax, and now $1000 above that total, and more taxes.
I often read people getting these great deals, but I am never sure if the offer is just slightly lower than the price would have been at the time I originally book (and couldn't afford it, LOL) or if it is below or at the current asking price.
As the cruise date gets closer, I get an "anything goes" state of mind, so I would like to know if offered a "big" up sell, if it really was a deal.
Thanks & happy cruising all
When we took an upsell to the owners suite on our Jade cruise we paid a total price of $750 and nothing else to upgrade. We paid something like $6,000 for the suite we originally booked(at that time the owners suite was priced at $10k) so after the upsell we ended up paying $6750 for the owners suite which I think was a great deal.

My partner and I are going to be on the NCL Spirit Barcelona to Venice on April 24th. Starting to get excited!!
-
This happened the other day also.. then the next day the sailing reappeared and when I did a mock booking there were plenty of rooms available.

What kind of weather information are you looking for? Generally speaking the seas should be calmer in the Western Caribbean then what you would find in the open Atlantic ocean.
-
Has happened to two of the tours we have booked on our upcoming cruise on the Spirit. In fact our cruise is not even showing up on the NCL site.

I won $600 on a 25 cent slot machine
-
They left me a voicemail and I was able to call back and get the deal.

1. Getting engaged on the Jade while leaving Athens. It was almost picture perfect.
2. Had a few minutes to kill before dinner so I walked into the casino and sat down at a random 25 cent machine put a $20 in the machine turned my head to say something to my mother while hitting one of the buttons and then all of the sudden the machine just started dinging. I walked away from the machine $600 richer.

I had a problem with my ncl yesterday.. it let me log in but wouldnt let me see my reservation until I made a payment that was due immediately before they canceled my reservation... funny thing was I paid in full months ago and final payment was a few weeks ago... a couple hours later everything was fine.

We had a family member buy us some OBC for a christmas gift, I do not see it listed anywhere under "reservation at a glance". Where would I find this type of obc?

Just got notification from NCL that my edocs are available. For me the cruise doesn't seem real until I get my edocs. Now the anticipation of the cruise will start to build. Its going to be a long 69 days.

Weather in Florida and The Bahamas in April should be very nice. I would expect temps in the mid 80's for the most part(it has been in the low to mid 80's for the last few weeks down here). April is still our dry season so you should be relatively dry also.

I wish I was anywhere the wind chill wasn't sitting at minus 10 degrees. Pretty crappy winter in the St Louis area this year. Ugh.
lol its currently 81 and sunny here :p

I love the NCL Star, she is one of my favorite ships. The staff were pleasant and very helpful and I thought the ship was laid out well. The Star may be a older ship but she is very well maintained.

Having sailed Spirit and Allure in the past six months, there is no comparison in the MDR food and service.......Allure is so much better. Consistently every evening.
Food is very subjective, my last cruise was on a Royal Caribbean ship and I thought the food & service were horrible.

What a beautiful day for her to be pulling into port. Its supposed to be in the low-mid 80's today, could not ask for better weather.

what would be the best way from Civitavecchia to Rome without using NCL transport there are 4 of us ladies, i know there is the train is it best to hire private transport, thanks
We used private transportation when we were in Rome. I was not comfortable with taking a train as Rome is quite a distance from Civitavecchia. I would check out the ports of call boad, Im sure a lot of people would be able to provide information on taking the train if that is what you want to do.

We have been to both Hawaii and the Mediterranean. We opted for a land vacation in Hawaii so I can not comment on the NCL POA, but I will say I think a cruise through the hawaiian islands would be wonderful. The reason I like cruising in the med is because it is much more cost effective then trying to do a land vacation. Some ports like Rome and Florence are a bit of a drive from the port area but others are only a few minutes away from the port( Athens, Venice, Istanbul to name a few).

I don't understand the logic of "if the price drops after final payment NCL should compensate me". You booked a cruise for X amount and were happy to pay that amount. What if the price of your room goes up after final payment? Should NCL be able to cancel your reservation and sell your room to someone else at the higher price?
-
Our April cruise on the Spirit has done nothing but go up since we booked in June of 2013. Final payment is about 2 weeks away and the price continues to creep up. In addition the ocean view rooms are completely sold out.
-
Shoot. Are mini-suites the ones called "penthouses" and "aft facing penthouses"? That still only sleep 2 or3?
As far as I know the Spirit does not have any mini-suites. The penthouses and aft facing penthouses are full suites and come with lots of wonderful perks.

Anyone have the inside scoop on what this means for the Spirit? She is heading into dry dock soon.
Was just wondering this also... we will be sailing on the Spirit in April.
Pre booking teppanyaki on the Spirit
in Norwegian Cruise Line

Was just wondering why we can not pre book the teppanyaki restaurant on the Spirit? We have the option to pre book all the other restaurants on board. Do they not allow you to pre book the teppanyaki because of limited seating?
