  1. I sailed with Orlando twice when he was aboard the Breeze. I liked him more than the actual CDs that were on both of the Breeze sailings Matt and Mike. So glad that he is a CD now. I sailed the Valor a few times many years ago when it used to sail out of Miami. I always have the chocolate melting cake every night too. I sailed aboard the Vista in April, and the $5 per day social media plan worked well except for 2 days which was really slow.

  2. I've been on a bunch of solo cruises and I always seem to find the cheapest of prices, now i can't find nothing close to what i use to pay... ( $500 - 800 ) per 7 night carribean cruise with carnival or norwegian and I always travel solo....

Anyone outthere help me with some deals? Everything is above 1 stack..... its incredible lmao:'):'):')

I know! I love 30 minutes away from The Port of Miami, and they used to have amazing deals! I have sailed solo 6 times out of my 29 cruises, and I would always find great deals when I sailed by myself. Make sure to sail on the 4 day aboard the Victory the week before Christmas. They always have great deals at that time, but you must book it 2 months in advance because the last month the price really increased.

  3. I like Marcelo (aka Marshmellow). We had him on the Magic about 5 years ago and he was great with the kids and really presented a family-friendly face rather than the I'm young, hip, and want to party persona (I'm looking at you Jase Apps). I know people react to each CD based on how they want their experience to be, but I liked Marcelo. I also liked Steve Cassel on our first cruise on the Ecstasy back in 2009, he was a real goofball so I could relate to him easily.

I'm not knocking the "party persona" CDs, that's just no my cup of tea, though they really seem to be popular with passengers. When we had Jase on the Freedom in 2015, I noticed that his energy seemed to be contagious with the people I saw him interacting with, I just personally didn't care for the guy.

My favorite CDs are Marcelo and Steve Cassel who are real, truly talented, and are there to entertain the guests. Most CDs now are there to promote themselves, instead of focusing on entertaining the guests.

  4. What a great surprise! Carnival is very honest. I sailed aboard the Vista last month, and called two days before to let them know that my nephew wasn't going. I knew that I was going to lose all the money except for the taxes and port charges. The representative told me not to cancel because they would have to charge me a $250 cancelation fee to let him be a no show. Another time my nephew was playing at the basketball court, and they closed it at 5:30 pm in order to open up the Italian restaurant which is below the court. He left his ipod at the court. We went to guest services within five minutes of leaving the court, and the crew member that closed the court had turned it in. They're so honest and amazing.

  5. I was aboard the Vista last week. Bar service was quick. There wasn't a wait at all. Also while I was on the lounge chairs there were a lot of bartenders going around asking who would like drinks. I had assigned dining, and we were always out of the dining room within an hour and on formal night an hour and a half.

  6. Thank you so much for your review. WOW! I'm surprised about the attitude of the waitress at the Italian restaurant. They're usually the most polite staff! We ate there 3 nights out of 6 the 4 times that we sailed on the Breeze. We ate at the Seafood Shack aboard the Victory in December for lunch every day, and the most we waited was 10 minutes for the Lobster Rolls. There was never a line. I don't think many people knew about it since it had only been there a few weeks. I will be sailing aboard the Breeze in April.

  7. Yes, there are so many healthy options on the ships. I love to eat healthy and exercise. I exercise at the gym every day and always take the stairs. I never drink alcohol or eat fried or salty foods, but will have desserts on a cruise(vanilla frozen yogurt, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate melting cake, and the diet desserts that are offered on lido and in the dining room).

All that I drink is water, and will have 1 or 2 Virgin Pina Coladas on a 7 day cruise . I eat an omelette for breakfast, fruits, and whole wheat toast (no butter) For lunch, I will have a whole wheat burrito with chicken, shrimp, and mild sauce, and have the vanilla frozen yogurt for dessert. They have a lot of fish options available as well as grilled chicken every night on the menu in the dining room, and desserts low in sugar.
