WooHoo!! I will be sailing on the Legend September 23rd! I can't wait! Does anyone have pictures of cabin 8198???
-
I had some with me on our first cruise since we didn't know what to expect. My friend got extremely seasick so I gave them to her to take. She felt 100% better after taking the first one! Definitely works!

WooHoo!!! 5 more days until I'm on the Victory! It's been a very loooooooong wait!
-
Thank you Rob for the wonderful pictures and information on the "See Antigua by Sea" excursion! We booked this excursion today for our cruise in Sept! WooHoo!
Information for others: This excursion is through Carnival and costs $103.95 per person. 6 hour excursion on a Catamaran around the island, swimming, snorkeling, lunch and drinks provided, music, open bar, etc.....

Not yet Rob, you'll just have to keep posting the wonderful pics! ;)
-
Thanks for posting the pics Rob! I'm trying to guess where my balcony will be located. hehe ;)

What time do you normally leave the ship in the mornings for excursions?
-
If I am not mistaken, and someone please correct me if I am, that Verandah is the same deck as the bridge. So, in the aft picture, it would be (bottom to top) Upper, Empress, and Verandah on top, with the Lido deck at the top of all of them. The view of the front of the ship, it is Upper, Empress, Verandah (with the bridge) , Lido, and Spa decks.
So, in the aft pic the Verandah deck would be the deck below what looks to be solid glass? The solid glass area is that the Lido deck?

Ohhh, thank you for posting this! Do you have a photobucket account? If so, this should help post normal size pics instead of thumbnail size.
I can't wait to read your review and view the pics! We're thinking of doing the zip line in St. Kitts. Do you jerk any at the end of the zip line? Do you have to climb platforms or repel?
Yes, we really enjoyed the cruise. I also liked the way the Carnival Victory was decorated with the Seven Seas Marine Theme. I thought it had nicer decor than the Carnival Triumph.I am working on writing a review. Right now I am trying to figure out how to post large photos instead of the thumbnail size, so that I can add these to the review. Eventually I will put our photo's and videos into a media presentation that I will also post.
These are the excursions which we did.
St. Thomas--Sightseeing and Sapphire Beach with Airforce 1 Papa Bear.
Dominica--Emerald Pool and River Tubing with Antours
Barbados--Harrison's Cave, East Coast, St. John's Church and Accra/Rockley Beach with Scenic Barbados Tours.
St. Lucia--West Coast Delight Island Tour and Jalouise Beach with Spencer Ambrose--awesome tour with the best tour guide ever!
Antigua--Best of Paradise Island Tour and Long Bay Beach with Gordan
St. Kitts--Zipline Safari with St. Kitts Tour Store
Breakfast on the Lido Deck for early risers begins at 6:00 am in the Mediterranean Restaurant. Coffee and danishes are served.
Buffet Breakfast on the Lido Deck is from 7:00-10:30 am in the Mediterranean Restaurant and from 7:00-11:00 am by the Main Pool.

Ok...when looking at these pics of Victory...the first set of balcony rooms would be on Upper Deck right? Where is Verandah Deck located???
-
Thank you so much dz63!! Did you enjoy the cruise? What excursions did you do? Are you going to write a report and/or post pics! Would love to see your pics!
What time does the buffet open for breakfast each morning?
-
Which decks can you walk straight through from one end of the ship to the other? What time does the dining areas open for breakfast if we choose this over going to the buffet on the Lido deck?
-
We have just been assigned our cabin! We booked an 8A GTY and have been upgraded to 8D! WooHoo!! Has anyone stayed in cabin #8362? Does anyone have pics? What time do the restaurants overhead open and close?? Will there be a problem with noise?
-
Thanks for the information and pictures Rob! Please keep the pictures coming!!! It's helping me deal with the wait! LOL
-
What time do they normally have the rooms ready when you first board the ship? Can anyone recommend a catamarin tour for Antigua?
-
For those of you that are still trying to figure out what private tours to do with the Carnival Victory intinerary—this should help.
I have spent hours reading the forums to come up with possible tours for our family for our upcoming cruise. I thought I would put together and share the information I have found. Since we have not been on any of these tours yet--it is hard to suggest what is good and what is not. We have to rely on the suggestions of others who have actually taken these tours and make a decision based on that. This synopsis is basically listing some of the things you can do on each island and CC recommended tour operators. Hopefully this will help you to decide what tour interests you. Every island will offer you something tropical including beaches, new sights and local food. Some tours will include food and others do not--but you can always buy your own lunch somewhere.
St. Thomas--if you want to see sights and relax on a beach, than an island tour in an open air vehicle with Sunny Liston, Airforce 1 Papa Bear, Godfrey, Spider man or Island Marketing will do. These tours are inexpensive and do not include food. Shopping opportunities are also available.
In Dominica, Antours and Levi Bumpiing Tours are well known and highly recommended tour operators. You can visit waterfalls, go hiking, river tube down the Layou River or visit a Carib Indian village here!
Barbados has alot of everything--from sightseeing and beach stops, ziplining, swimming with turtles or visiting Harrisons Cave. You can take a land tour with such operators as Cameron Reid, Scenic Barbados Tours, Glory Tours, Johnson Tours, or Coconut tours or explore the island on a jeep safari with Adventureland. If you want to go on the seas and swim with the turtles you can take an excursion on a catamaran like the Tiami or Silver Moon--both are very popular and lunch is provided.
St. Lucia offers beaches, breathtaking vistas, the Pitons and a chance to visit the world’s only drive-in volcano. An island tour with Spencer Ambrose, Serenity (although I found them to be more expensive than Carnival), Cosol, Fabian Tours, and Bernard from St. Lucia Taxi Man are some highly recommended tour operators. These tours include local food and drinks. A coastline island tour by catamaran is also available through Serenity.
In Antigua an island tour with Gordan or Lawrence from Antigua offers sightseeing tours that take you to such places as Shirley Heights and Nelson's Dockyard with a stop at a nice beach. Local food and drinks are included in these tours. Gordan also offers tours that include ziplining, snorkeling, kayaking and Stingray City. On water a tour with Eli's Eco Adventure with an emphasis on ecology and history of the area and snorkeling is very popular. Or you could take an excursion on Eli’s new racing speed boat the Xtreme that takes you right around the entire island and includes a stop at Stingray City! Food is also included. Creole Cruises is another popular excursion that takes you around the Northern coast of Antigua and includes snorkeling stops. If you love lobster than you’ll love the lunch which is included in this tour! Tours by water are more expensive than the land tours.
St. Kitts offers sightseeing by land, catamaran or train. You can stop at a beach, hike through a rainforest, visit Brimstone Hill or even go Ziplining. Some recommended tour operators are Thenford Grey, Everton Delaney, Royston Tours and St. Kitts Tour Store.
I have not included all the tour operators but tried to mention some of the more popular and recommended tour operators from CC. When it comes right down to it you have to choose what interests you and go for it.
Hope this information helps you to plan your shore excursions!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this information!!! This is such a big help!
