  1. Yours is R/T Copenhagen. Try the Roll Call for R/T of St. Petersburg and R/T Berlin. Your cruise will pick up new passengers on those ports and they may have a Roll Call that you can join., or them joining yours.

    I actually did this - And Got a Scathing Put-Down.... See Post # 17 here - http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2377019

But then got a response right after that worked out for a small group of 6!:)

  2. I would skip the ferry over, since it requires a 10-minute walk to the museums. Instead, catch the Bus #30 towards Bygdøy from the stop in front of the city hall. It will drop you right in front of either of the two museums and runs every 10 minutes.

About how long does the Bus # 30 take to reach the Museums from City Hall?

Do they also run every 10 minutes on Saturday during August?

How long is the Ferry Ride?

If we were to take the Bus # 30 back from the museums... where would the best place to get off and catch the Tram # 12 to Vigeland Sculpture Park? THANK YOU!!

  3. Note that while the transit pass covers all public transit in the city (bus, tram, metro, train, ferries), the ferry to Bygdøy is now privately operated, so you would either need to buy a separate boat ticket or take the Bus #30 instead.

Is this very new - as both the Ferry and Oslo Pass websites still say it is covered??

  4. I started reading your post and finished it today.

We are starting to plan our pre-cruise stay the week of August 13, 2017 in Copenhagen and I am familiarizing myself with your city via your in valuable posts.

I am trying to find a nice hotel.. but am confused on the area to be in to be able to walk to most attractions you mentioned. How does being close to Nyhavn compare with city center?

My budget won't allow d'Angleterre, what other hotels just below that would you recommend?

We would like an included breakfast if possible.

Maybe someone on a past visit would have some thoughts also.

Thanking you in advance for your time!!

  5. I wanted to Thank Each of You for your invaluable information and the time you took to communicate it!!

I feel much better about our location on several levels .... and we do need to walk more, all the better in Parks.

Since I am still trying to figure out the different Tube routes - a special Thank You to John Bull for including that info.

I am still researching so anything you want to add is welcome!!

  6. Our TA has us booked at the Thistle Hyde Park for 3 days in May - any recommendations for eating establishments or places to see within walking distance??

is this a safe area, especially at night?

We have the London Pass and Oyster card and want to visit:

Tower of London, British Museum, Thames River Cruise, Churchill War Room, and Hop On Hop Off.

Any thoughts you may want to share would be greatly appreciated!!
