  1. Sailing with my parents in a few weeks who are platinum, DH and I are Ruby. Mom in a wheelchair can we board with her to give her and Dad a hand?

Yes, I am platinum and my Grandmother was not and was in a different cabin with my Aunt. They let her board with my Mom and I because my Aunt needed a hand.

  2. I use the patches and I have absolutely no side affects. I usually put it on, on the morning of the cruise. I also only use one patch for a 7 day cruise! Once I get used to being on the water. I rarely put another patch on after the 3 days. I get vertigo and it helps with that. My Mom has used them and she has the side affects everyone else is complaining about.

I've been in some very rough seas on a 35 foot sail boat and used the patch and I was one of the very few on board that did not get sick. I swear by them and I don't find them that expensive. With my insurance, they are $35.00 for 4 patches and if you are on medicare (like my Mom), she got them for $20.00.

  3. Many years ago my brother was critically injured in an auto accident. Almost a year after the accident, my mother and I felt we deserved a vacation after everything we went through but we didn't take a cruise. We spent a week at a time share in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. That trip got us hooked on going some where, every year, together. The following year, I booked us on a Carnival Cruise and it only took one cruise and we've been HOOKED ever since!!! The year after that, we booked on Princess and we never went back to Carnival! This trip is now a family event and even my brother goes with us! :)

  4. YES, I think Princess should share the fact that they have a large group booked!

We once sailed out of Florida with a group of 900 people who took over the pool area and made a whole lot of passengers uncomfortable. Especially those with small children. Several areas were blocked off for their own use and private parties! I would have have canceled and rebooked if I knew this group was on board! Only because this group was OUT OF CONTROL and they were doing things in public areas that should have been kept in the cabins!!

  5. Tri-Rail from Miami to Fort Lauderdale is $5.00 per person! We're taking it in December. From Port Everglades we'll take a cab to the Fort Lauderdale airport, we'll hop on the Tri-Rail to Miami and then take the free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We had to fly into Miami due to the extra cost of flying into Fort Lauderdale from where we live. Search Tri-Rail, that's how I found out about it. There's also a post from last week that someone rode tri-rail and then gave a review.

  6. I have very thick, naturally curly hair cut in a chin length bob and the shampoo is fine but I can't use the conditioner! I would have to use 5 bottles a day on my hair and it never makes my hair soft. I bring my own because my hair gets dry when I swim and I'm out in the sun.
