I'm cruising on the Crown in two weeks. I'll let you know when I return what time they start lunch!
-
Same old. Same old. I guess I won't be utilizing MUTS on our Dec. 14th cruise.
Ha, I thought the same thing!

Ooops... I was looking at the Ruby not the Royal.
-
The bridge cam shows her at dock in Venice Italy and I checked the events at sea web sight and didn't see anything. Maybe a medical emergency?

Sailing with my parents in a few weeks who are platinum, DH and I are Ruby. Mom in a wheelchair can we board with her to give her and Dad a hand?
Yes, I am platinum and my Grandmother was not and was in a different cabin with my Aunt. They let her board with my Mom and I because my Aunt needed a hand.

I use the patches and I have absolutely no side affects. I usually put it on, on the morning of the cruise. I also only use one patch for a 7 day cruise! Once I get used to being on the water. I rarely put another patch on after the 3 days. I get vertigo and it helps with that. My Mom has used them and she has the side affects everyone else is complaining about.
I've been in some very rough seas on a 35 foot sail boat and used the patch and I was one of the very few on board that did not get sick. I swear by them and I don't find them that expensive. With my insurance, they are $35.00 for 4 patches and if you are on medicare (like my Mom), she got them for $20.00.

Thank you!! :)

Have a great time! We'll be on her December 14th and I would love to know what's playing on MUTS!

I'll be on the Crown in 4 weeks, glad to hear the Captain puts his passengers safety first.
We're on the Crown in 4 weeks too and I'm glad to hear the Captain put safety first!

Have a great time! We'll be on her in 28 days, not that I'm counting or anything! I would love to hear which movies are playing on MUTS.

This happened to me too a few years ago. By the way you described things I think the same group may have been on my cruise and could have been the same group that was on the 11/3 Royal cruise.
We were on the Crown in 2008! Those kind of groups need to be on a ship without other passengers!!

Many years ago my brother was critically injured in an auto accident. Almost a year after the accident, my mother and I felt we deserved a vacation after everything we went through but we didn't take a cruise. We spent a week at a time share in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. That trip got us hooked on going some where, every year, together. The following year, I booked us on a Carnival Cruise and it only took one cruise and we've been HOOKED ever since!!! The year after that, we booked on Princess and we never went back to Carnival! This trip is now a family event and even my brother goes with us! :)

Have a great time!! We'll be on her on December 14th! :D

I would like to know this too! We're sailing the week before Christmas so please post what's playing when you return!
-
YES, I think Princess should share the fact that they have a large group booked!
We once sailed out of Florida with a group of 900 people who took over the pool area and made a whole lot of passengers uncomfortable. Especially those with small children. Several areas were blocked off for their own use and private parties! I would have have canceled and rebooked if I knew this group was on board! Only because this group was OUT OF CONTROL and they were doing things in public areas that should have been kept in the cabins!!

Have you looked at the tri-rail schedule and map?

You should read the post "How do I use tri-rail"

Tri-Rail from Miami to Fort Lauderdale is $5.00 per person! We're taking it in December. From Port Everglades we'll take a cab to the Fort Lauderdale airport, we'll hop on the Tri-Rail to Miami and then take the free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We had to fly into Miami due to the extra cost of flying into Fort Lauderdale from where we live. Search Tri-Rail, that's how I found out about it. There's also a post from last week that someone rode tri-rail and then gave a review.

I have very thick, naturally curly hair cut in a chin length bob and the shampoo is fine but I can't use the conditioner! I would have to use 5 bottles a day on my hair and it never makes my hair soft. I bring my own because my hair gets dry when I swim and I'm out in the sun.

Has anyone been tormented by flies at the barbeque?
YES, that is one of the reasons I don't eat at the BBQ! I also don't like the huge black moths that land on the food. To me, it's worth tendering back to the ship for a nicer lunch but that's my opinion!
-
So it is noisy? We're staying there in mid December and getting in very late. I would hate to be woken up really early by construction noise.
-
Thank you!! I was wondering about luggage and you answered that question! We're going to try it in December!
Thanks again!! :D

Awesome, keep me posted!!!

Please post your tri-rail experience when you return! We are going to ride tri-rail from FLL to Miami in December. It's MUCH cheaper than renting a car or taking a shuttle!
Thanks and have a wonderful time!
