That's not mistreatment of Bella and Fantastica guests. It's elevated treatment of Aurea and Yacht Club guests.

If someone is walking through the desert and I hand them a cold 16.9oz bottle of Dasani water, that person shouldn't feel mistreated if I hand a Yacht Club guest a cold 1L bottle of Acqua Panna water.

I agree with you but many Bella and Fantastica guests still think that it is mistreatment.

I don't care what they say because I have paid extra to be able to cut lines!

I would be skeptical of enjoying that many consecutive sea days on MSC, if it were to be a west coast embarkation and not an island-based cruise. There is also the issue of gambling being banned when close enough to the islands. It's my understanding some ships close the casino the whole time they are in proximity to the islands. If the ship were to model its practices after Pride of America, there would be no casino at all.

Your first cruise was on Norwegian Wind from Honolulu. We went to Fanning Island so we didn't just cruised around the Hawaiian Islands. We had four seadays but I think that NCL had cruises with Norwegian Dawn to Fanning Island with only one seaday in each direction.

The same itinerary we did then on one of the newer MSC ships should be perfect for us.

There are only two acceptable answers: "Not enough of them" and "All of them." 😉

The older ships without Yacht Club are not at all interesting for us.

We have cruised on Meraviglia, Divina and World Europa. Our next ship will be Seaside.

Boring for me is not having the opportunity to converse with people.

We don't cruise to meet new people but I agree with you that conversations with people is an important part of the experience. If I didn't drink I should easily be bored if sitting in a lounge and then I should miss many opportunities to converse but if I drink Champagne I can sit there the whole day and increase my opportunities for conversations.

What is the fascination of drinking alcohol ?I could never understand that .

I don't see any fascination of it but if I shall cruise without being bored alcohol is a part of it. I can easily spend a few hours in a lounge drinking Champagne but without drinking that should be very boring, for me.

I think you should stick to speaking for yourself on this one.  I don't drink and my enjoyment of cruises is not dependent on the consumption of alcohol or alcohol-related activities or pastimes.

I always speak to myself. I said that people who don't drink can cruise, did you missed that?

How do you spend a typical cruiseday?

Alcohol is a big part of the cruise experience for people who drink.  But it is no part of the cruise experience for people who don't drink.

And I said that people who don't drink can cruise but personally I probably shouldn't.

If I didn't drink alcohol I should probably be boared on a cruise.

The top one on my list is that you don't drink alcohol.  Why would that be a reason to not cruise?

I agree with you that people who don't drink alcohol can still cruise but I should probably not do it anymore if I for some reason couldn't drink alcohol anymore.

The reason for that is that alcohol is such a big part of the whole cruiseexperience. I love the afternoon Champagne in a lounge and wine with dinner. To spend time on the sundeck without drinking cold beer should be a real waste of time for me. And no, non-alcoholic drinks are NOT the same thing!

Is it only MSC that have such a late dining time? We have only sailed RC before (and its been a few years) but I don't recall there being a late dinging time.

I don't know if they are the only ones but if they are, it's probably because it's an italian cruiseline and italians often eat late.

Per my earlier comment, 1 hot tub on YC pool deck is not enough. However, YC guests have access to the Aurea area  which hosts two giant hot tubs. The YC area connects via stairs.

NCL Haven guests are not afforded access to Vibe (their version of Aurea sun deck). This is disappointing on busy sea days and packed ships so pro for MSC here.

When we cruised in July one hot tub was enough but it's possible that it was a little too hot on the pooldeck then.

We paid for VIBE when we cruised on Norwegian Breakaway. The main reason for that was that sometimes there are too many children in the Haven and we wanted to be able to avoid that.

Just a note on the drinks menus, odd situation in the TSL and ain ish they have would bring back paper menus.

We scanned the QR code but were told that is not the full menu. 2 paper menus were presented and we were invited to take a picture for reference.

We cruised om the WE in July and they always gave us the papermenu. I wish they had them on the tables.

For us, it is for adult children to have own space without having to book two rooms.  At end of the day, there is nothing preventing kids from being in YC.  We've had two of eight very full with kids.  Kids making lots of noise even in lounge.  The parents just as bad.

But more big suites in the YC will probably mean more children there and I don't want that.
