  1. Hope that I can help a little bit with your query. We are elite plus on Celebrity having done the majority of cruises on them along with the occasional cruises on other lines, we had a month in a suite last year on Celebrity and felt both the food and the whole experience had declined somewhat since our last voyage so like you looked for a change. We went on our first Regent cruise earlier this year and loved every moment of it, the staff without exception  were incredible and went out of their way to make sure you had a wonderful experience. Food is always subjective but to me the quality was far superior to that found on Celebrity and plenty of choice for even the fussiest of people, we have already booked our next Regent cruise as sailing with Celebrity again no longer appeals.

  2. Thank you I agree with you entirely but having had such a wonderful trip on Navigator it just threw me a bit to read the negative reviews about the Voyager, however having read all the positive comments to my post I am once again more than happy with my choice and look forward to sailing on her.

  3. Thank you for your replies it really has helped. I appreciate the comment about vibration having sailed on Navigator but apart from one night when we were dining and it was particularly noticeable it didn’t bother us at all. I must admit I was very surprised to read the negative reviews on Voyager and having seen your response that’s she in great shape has put my fears to rest so thank you all again.

  4. We recently did a cruise on the Navigator which was wonderful and would happily sail on her again. We have just booked another cruise and this time it’s on the Voyager which I assumed would be very similar, however having just looked at some reviews they really aren’t very complimentary and I’m now concerned we have made the wrong choice. Please can any of you who have sailed on her fairly recently give me your thoughts as it would be much appreciated.

  5. Hi, when we went from Southampton last year we used AB parking who manage the car parks round the port we weren’t sailing with Regent that time but as far as I’m aware they cover all the cruise ships the phone number is  02380 488870 open Monday - Friday. We

were parked directly opposite the ship so could just wheel our luggage across although they do have a truck that will collect your cases for you.

    Hope this helps.

In a suite, then yes (except don't go earlier than 11:00 in Tampa).  In other cabins, you will be waiting until those with times ahead of you board.  As capacity increases, so will the wait time.

We have got a suite but family who are travelling with us are in concierge but we were told by our TA that we could all board together

  7. Hi, I realise things may have changed a bit since we last cruised due to the new covid restrictions but can those of you that have cruised recently tell me if it’s possible to board a bit earlier than the time we have been given or if we have to stick to our allocated slot.

  8. Thank you for all you replies. I like to sit on the balcony sometimes to relax with a book rather than on deck, not worried too much about the privacy aspect as not going to be doing anything I shouldn’t 🥱 but it was more a question of whether I would be seeing any sun at all, someone said it depended when and where we are cruising so if it helps we are doing the Caribbean end of March/ April.

  9. We have booked a CS suite 1233 on the Silhouette which is on the hump, I know that the balcony is covered but I’m now worried that we won’t get any sun on it and it will always be in the shade, can anyone who has stayed in this cabin give me some advice please as I’m now wondering if we have done the right thing.

  10. Thank you everyone for your very helpful replies, I did read about the vibration  problem but thought maybe 850 being that bit further forward from the aft would be okay however I didn’t realise the cabin was above the casino not sure how noisy that would be so maybe I will see what is still available with a view to changing.

  11. Hi, I am hoping to get a bit of advice. We have today booked a cruise to sail on the Navigator in cabin 850 and although we aren’t new to cruising it will be our very first time with Regent so we know absolutely nothing really about best cabin positions etc. I have tried to do a bit of research through these boards but have been unable to find any reviews for this cabin so it would be great if someone knows anything about it while I still have the option to change it if necessary

  12. Really upset by this decision as we are booked along with my Daughter and her family to go at the end of March 2022. We lost our Son in July this year and this cruise was meant to be a time for us all to be together and make new memories, unfortunately the uk don’t vaccinate children under 12 which means our 9 year old grandson won’t be allowed to sail. I appreciate what Celebrity are trying to do in keeping everyone safe but feel that for those children who are unable to get a jab through no fault of their own then negative tests prior to boarding and re testing throughout the cruise should suffice.

  13. Hi, we are a family of 5 adults and one child plus luggage and need to get from MIA to the Hilton Marina Ft Lauderdale. We are flying in from the UK so from past experience we realise that actually getting out of the airport can be a very slow process and we have been told that pre booked transport will only wait 45 mins for you. We have used the cruise line transportation previously but ended up waiting almost 2 hours for them to collect us so would really prefer to arrange it ourselves. Any help would be much appreciated.

  14. Really glad that I looked at the topics on this forum before actually booking as we saw a cruise on Discovery next year that really appealed to us, we have never sailed with Saga before and liked the sound of the itinerary with the added bonus that it went from Dover. Prior to contacting our travel agent I was scrolling through the various comments when I came across the “ no polo shirts” policy for men in the dining room at night and must admit I had to read it twice to make sure that it wasn’t a joke. We are frequent cruisers predominantly sailing with Celebrity or Azamara and with the exception of formal or so called chic nights where we dress accordingly my Husband always wears a nice polo shirt along with a pair of smart trousers in the evening. I’m sure that Saga is a very nice cruise line but this particular rule is so outdated it’s ridiculous, so I’m sorry but it is a deal breaker for us and we won’t be be trying Saga until they join the modern world.

  15. We were booked on this cruise but have had to cancel as I have broken my ankle and was told I couldn’t travel but we would have been in Bangkok now ready to board the Eastern Oriental train to Singapore so we may not have even seen the email let alone been able to arrange to get to a completely different destination in time to board the ship it would have been a complete nightmare.

  16. We were on the Reflection Caribbean cruise in March and it was definitely chilly in there then I was wishing I had taken a jacket with me.  From a personal point of view it was the only meal of the whole cruise we didn’t really enjoy , the steak was a bit tough and lacked flavour and the wine waiter was so sparing with the amount of wine he gave I don’t think any of us actually received an overall total of a full glass in all the time we were there. Having said that our actual waiter was so nice and friendly went out of his way to try and give us a lovely evening.  Maybe we were just unlucky food wise as I have read of other people that thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

  17. Sorry to say but on my recent Reflection cruise I had been on my sun bed near the pool for over 3 hours next to me were  2 unused saved beds with towels beach bag and a book. It was a sea day so lots of people wandering around looking for somewhere to sit, the pool attendant happened to stand next to me so I mentioned this to him his response was “ we aren’t allowed to move personal items”  and off he went. The so called owners came back over an hour later gathered up their belongings and went.

  18. We have recently returned from our Reflection cruise and whilst onboard tried to book two more cruises, the one for January 2021 was no problem and that was quickly sorted however  the one we wanted book for ourselves and our family on the Equinox for October next year wasn’t letting her get a price and she explained that they were doing an inventory and that once we got home it should be cleared for bookings. We contacted our TA who was also unable to access the cruise and it was only after her making a few calls to Celebrity she was informed that it was no longer available as it had been chartered. Whilst I appreciate that charters guarantee the cruise line a certain revenue from a loyal cruisers point of view I find it extremely frustrating to find an itinerary and a date had that suited us all only to have that cruise withdrawn.

  19. Having just returned from the Reflection during our Caribbean sailing every day the speciality restaurant staff were outside the ocean view with offers for that night. We took advantage of the two for one offer at the lawn club but I can honestly say I wish we had dined in Opus instead the waiter was lovely but the steak was tasteless and tough and even though we had a drinks package they were very sparing with the wine.

Oh a Pager! That's a great idea! I'm so glad that they have something like that.

Do you happen to know if kids can use fun factory while parents go ashore in port?

They only got off the ship once while he was in the fun factory to look round the cruise terminal shops but they told the staff where they would be and took the pager with them.

  21. Just returned from the Reflection with our 6 year old Grandson, he really loved the fun factory. They would ask his parents where they would be on the ship if they needed to contact them but then they also gave them a pager. It’s the first time he has ever used a kids club but the staff were wonderful with them and my Daughter felt it was also very safe as they were unable to leave without a nominated adult collecting them.

  22. We were in 8039 on the Quest in October nice cabin with a good size shower but had some morning noise from above but that wouldn’t stop me from booking this again. With regards to comparing it to the mini suite on Princess admittedly we have only had one on a couple of the older ships but to my mind they were no better than a standard balcony cabin on Celebrity so the club continent suite on Azamara would definately be superior.
