I never said they did :confused:
You said they now have it for International. Canada is not Domestic. Do you know what ports/countries they do have it for.
Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.
-
If it's been expanded to include International flights...that is very new to RCI's Luggage Valet program.
I just spoke with RCCL and they do not have it for Vancouver. Did you hear differently?

You should take a look at the "Alaska" boards. Lots of information there.
-
One advantage to the above is a policy that will cover pre-existing conditions if purchased within 15 days of booking.

Travel bug - if you do the Chilcoot Yukon by bus on Northbound, you will be in the group with me and my husband? See you at the pan pacific bar 5/15.
Lynn
Lynn,
Chilkoot must have added an earlier time for the 7 hr. tour. That's cutting it pretty close since we leave at 4:30, but you should be fine.....Chilkoot has a very good reputation to keep.
I'll stick with the tour on the Southbound since we're in Skagway until 8:30PM. I'll have time to shop afterwards.
But, definitely will see you at the PP.

Aloha Lei,
Thermal underwear, cuddle duds and such are simply not available here. I got a couple of pair of leggings and long sleeve Danskins to wear under jeans and such. It will just have to do. I'm thinking of ordering hand and toe warmer packs from Amazon. If my feet are cold, there's just no getting me warm.
You can order all of the above on Amazon......and more

I love the AFT balconies for Alaska. There is no breeze back at the back of the ship and the balconies are huge!

We are taking a May 23rd Cruise, as we live in South Florida, warm clothes are not something we have either. Some long sleeve, but nothing heavy or wintery. I have a jacket that is waterproof that has a lining (not thick though), and it is not real heavy. Is a heavy jacket something that I need to really look for a end of May cruise or just laying clothes?
You do not need a heavy jacket as long as your jacket is waterproof. I wear a long windbreaker with a hood. Under it, I wear a polyester long sleeve turtleneck, and a sweatshirt. I also take a hat or earmuffs, gloves, tennis shoes and warm socks. Umbrellas are useless because they fly up.

You need to determine which is your preference between Glacier Bay and Tracy Arm. Look for more information to help you, they are very different areas. With Tracy Arm, I highly recommend as "necessary" the add on cruise ship tour. Grossly superior to the cruise ship sailing.
Don't forget - beautiful Hubbard Glacier.

When you get off the tender, there is a building to the right where you can book excursions. However, anything you book there will be charged to your Seapass card.

I think travelbug is referring to the Cape Fox Lodge and its funicular. While there are several totems on the property it is an easy downhill walk to the Totem Heritage Center. And the Heritage Center is a nice activity if Ketchikan is experiencing any "liquid sunshine."
Oops, my bad.
-
At Creek Street there is a Funicular that takes you up to the Westmark Hotel.
Cost is $2.00, walk through the hotel and there are several nice totems there.

Where can I find info on this bus tour? That seems like an unbelievably low price. Thanks. Marlene
The bus tour is one of the optional excursions available on the Princess website.
Check out the tours of Chilkoot Charters.

I've taken ORCA Enterprises whale watch with Captain Larry several times since 1999. Their "purple" boat holds a maximum of 40 and there is plenty of room to move around and go outside and also on top.
I can highly recommend them.

I suffer from Superior Cancal Dehiscence, which is a small hole has formed in my inner ear canal. I have had a few serious vertigo episodes, but I have never had a problem cruising. I have had a few issues during excursions, mainly from rough bus rides and heights, but I have learned how to deal with it, with a lot of support from my wonderful wife. My Doctor said I probably would not notice the motion on the ship as much as others since I already have a small balance issue from my inner ear issue and this seems to be the case. I have taken 8 cruises in the past 6 years and have sailed in some very rough waters and never had any issues, (knocking on wood!)
I think this means we need to do MORE cruising!

Hello everyone. My wife and I will be first time cruisers and celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We are sailing on the Coral Princess leaving Vancouver on May 31.
Right now we are trying to finalize decisions about shore exursions. We have Juneau all figured out, but are still working on Ketchikan and Skagway. In Ketchikan we want to either go to Misty Fjords, kayaking, or on a rainforest hike. We are having a hard time deciding since our level of enjoyment on these trips is closely tied to the weather. My first question is whether we can wait until we get off the ship to book a kayaking or Misty Fjords tour so that we can see what the weather is like? Do we risk having these tours sold out if we wait?
Secondly, in Skagway, we want to take a trip up to White Pass. However, we are undecided about whether to take the train or the bus. The train is obviously a fun way to travel, but it doesn't make photo stops and it costs significantly more. On the other hand, the bus is not as elegant as the train, but it stops frequently and only costs $39. Any thoughts?
Skagway - you can do the train up and bus back. There are several options. I have done Chilkoot Charters 7 hrs bus up to the Yukon which can be all bus or bus/train option.
Ketchikan - yes you can book with independent tours when you get off the ship. But, if you want a guarantee that you can get on you should book ahead. I think Island Wings (Michelle) has the best flight tour to the fiords. I have tried to book with Allen Marine for the boat into the Fiords but because the ship uses them I had to book it with the cruiseline.

When in Skagway, if you take a tour up to Carcross - you will see tons of foliage. It's so beautiful. We don't have anything like that here in So Cal. I usually take Chilkoot Charters 7 hrs. Discover the Yukon by Bus Adventure.

I just paid $52.33 which included the 15% gratuity.

Ketchikan - Annabelles...

I've always enjoyed Chops very much. Just booked a dinner for the Radiance for $30.00

Hi,
I just received an email from RCI that the AK schedule for 2015 is out.
The Radiance balcony cabin that we are in for 2014 is $200 cheaper than same time period for 2015.
Yes, but 2015 will have the Jewel!

Ask your doctor....you may have less problems since you already have a "motion" feeling....so the ship's motion might not be detectable! Your doctor can recommend something, just in case!
Sort of like "wobbly" toddlers seldom have seasickness!
That's how I feel cruising works for me. I don't take any Bonine or other meds because THEY make me dizzy.

I also suffer with Mal de Debarquement. I can only speak for myself, but I do not have a problem when I am on a ship, just on land. Weird, huh!

My feet swell as much on Alaska cruises as others.
