  1. We are a group of 15. 6 adults and 9 kids ranging in age from 5-14. We are looking for a fun excursion in st.kitts, preferably including a stop at a beach. Or is there something that we can do on our own? We've checked out Javins tours but it's a bit pricey. We definitely want to see monkeys...in their natural habitat and not on someone's shoulder. Any ideas?

  2. We are a group of 15. 6 adults and 9 children ranging in age from 5-14. We are looking for excursion ideas in St. Martin. We are interested in Maho to watch the airplanes but not too fond of a super crowded beach. So we are open to other ideas. What would be the best beach or beach-included excursion? Or what can we do on our own to have a fun filled day?

  3. Thank you both.

Being within walking distance of the beach would be great. Standard hotel pool is fine, although fun would be better (the kids will be 8, 10, 12 at the time). Close to restaurants is a must. Size of room doesn't matter, as long as we are allowed 5/room. Low-medium budget.

  4. After reading some threads, I see Cocoa Beach is the best place to stay pre-cruise out of Port Canaveral.

Can anyone recommend a snooze/cruise package for a family of 5? A quick look and I see the hotels only offer transportation for 2. We would rather not rent a car, but need transportation from airport to hotel and hotel to cruise. We will need a hotel for 2 nights pre-cruise.

    Thanks!

  5. The youngest is 5. For a few hours Of sleep, i would share a bed with my 5 and 7 year old if no rollaway was available.

I was just going by the max occupancy rates on the hotel websites I've been researching. I assume if the rooms are max 4 then they would not allow 5...but yes, I will have to give them a call and "shop around" for one that's lenient!

    Thanks!

  6. Yes, the ubp was for first 2 and the kids (the rest of the people in the room) got the soda package. I am pretty sure free gratuities was an option. I booked trough NcL directly. I will have to call (I actually chatted online with someone on the ncl website today and they had no clue and asked me to call instead).

  7. I've never known a chain hotel that counted heads or cared.

(Since you said "free breakfast", I'm assuming a hotel chain like Hampton, Fairfield, etc. vs. the more up-scale chains that don't provide free anything. They might be fussed.)

Oh, and the shuttle driver doesn't know how many you've told the front desk about. I've never even see them care whether you're staying at the property or walking to the hotel next door.

Thank you...this is reassuring! And yes, I'm talking chain hotels!

  8. I booked my cruise in January 2015 for Feb 2016 and selected the UBP for all 5 in the room. I also had the choice of free gratuities for all 5 in the room. In order to save a bit of $, we are looking to switch from free gratuities for 5 (we did prepay the gratuities already). Will they honour that and make the switch (as now the promotions are for first 2 people in room only?)

  9. I am thinking of booking Sleep Inn and Suites Fort Lauderdale pre cruise $200 and post cruise $128 (cheap room that sleeps 6 and looks decent) and offers free airport transportation. Flight arriving 10:00 p.m. in FLL and flight departing FLL at 6:00 a.m. the morning after the cruise. Cruise is from POM. We have a quote from hotel to port of $145/way from QLS for our group of 14.

Any comments? Does this sound like a good plan? Am I missing anything?

    Thanks all!
