This has been such a wonderful thread, we are booked for the Aug 13th cruise and really need to delve into the history books after New Year to appreciate this interesting culture.

Just wondering if any of your group had their flu shots? Curious as to that because it sounds like the flu and it sure is that time of year. I had the flu last spring on our Hawaii cruise and it sure puts you to bed early! i think I got it from my grandson before I left but symptyoms did not develope till half way thru the cruise. You just never know.

Looking forward to a med. cruise after reading all these posts for 2015. Seems so far away but time is forward pushing us along!

'We are sailing Summit in March, 7 night Southern Caribbean in a Concierge Class 3 cabin. We booked way ahead in January. Our final payment was made last week. The current price of our category is now $1400 more than we paid for the two of us. We always book far ahead and have enjoyed many price drops from our original booking fare. This time the prices have steadily increased.''

Do you book thru a T.A. or directly thru the cruise line?

Along that line, what are the most popular Celebrity cruises that will sell out early?

Thanks for all your replys. After looking at the ports more thoroughly, we decided on a Baltic cruise and have a deposit on celebrity, really looking forward to it!

Very helpful for us as well, thank you.

Nor sure if I made a mistake by taking a room above the Theatre and so far forward on Constellation. Anyone stayed here ? It is oceanview.
-
Deck 6 is above the entertainment deck and we are wondering if anyone has experienced a lot of noise on Deck 6? The room that is available is forward and above the Theatre but I assume that once the shows are over, the Theatre would be empty the rest of the night?

Hope this thread does not get closed, so full of wonderful advice.

Thanks for your input! The Spirit looks like a wonderful option and that itinerary looks amazing too.

Loved our trip with Norwegian to Hawaii. Now its time for the Med. What are your favorite ships? Itineraries? I am open ended on this one because I want to see it all eventually!

Has anyone used Fair Winds Travel in Kona lately? When I search thru the search option, I only get posts from 2005. They used to be the only outfit that went to Kealakekua Bay, not sure now.

Thanks for the bump, its a great review!

I struck gold here for planning my trip! Thanks!!!!

I don't mind paying corkage if it helps keep the overall price down of taking the cruise.

I have been disappointed a few times by the inflated prices onboard but then I am no expert and tend to buy without much research.
special needs dept. for gluten issues
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
On our Norweigan cruise last year I was provided with gluten free pasta and pizza and breads, cookies whenever I asked. I certainly never went hungry with all the fruit and veggies provided! But for our upcoming Celebrity Cruise I will take the advice here and check out the Special needs page. We try to omit all grains and limit sugar which is really hard because of all the hidden sugar. The advice about asking the bread basket not to be put on the table is good strategy.
