  1. Oh boy...with my luck I'd probably get it! Mosquitos love me, even when I use bug spray. I once got 67 mosquito bites in FL while I was on a trip there. Makes me wonder if I should try and convince DH to not do our Coba ruins tour while in Cozumel next month.

  2. I used the in room babysitting on FOS for my 11 month old daughter. I only used it one evening during second seating dinner on the last formal night. The rest of our cruise, my mother, who we brought with us to watch DD at night was babysitting. We had two adjoining rooms which worked out nice for our situation.

I remember the hourly charge for RCI's in room babysitting to be quite expensive, around $18 per hour. I think this charge is the same and doesn't increase if you have a second child being babysat. They had two women crew members who came to our stateroom. One of the women was quiet and reserved, the other woman I had seen a few days prior working behind guest services. Both women were very nice. DD was already asleep by the time the babysitters arrived, so I assume they just sat in the adjoining room for the time DD was sleeping.

The only problem we had with the babysitting is that DD became sick during the time she was being babysat, and we would have really liked to been notified that she was sick. I guess if I were to do the in room babysitting again, I would specifically tell the babysitter to contact me in such an event. Other than that, I guess I would recommend the babysitting if you are okay with the cost.

  3. We take two gallon size zip lock bags ... one for DH and one for me. We use them to put our stuff in the safe so it's easy to find and we don't leave anything behind. :)

Great idea! I will definitely be doing this next time to keep things organized and together.

  4. Bringing Booze Onboard

Bringing wine or Champagne onboard: Passengers can bring a maximum of two bottles of wine per cabin during embarkation. Bottles must be 750 ml each or smaller, and passengers who want to drink their wine in public spaces such as bars or restaurants must pay a $25 corkage fee per bottle. Each bottle must retain the original manufacturer's seal and exhibit no signs of tampering.

News to me! Thanks for sharing. I will be bringing a couple bottles of wine with me in August :)
