  1. Doubt they were New England crab legs (It was a snow crab cluster, claw and three other legs, say 1/2 lb) and, yes with a 3" x 3" x 3/4" filet of salmon. Maybe 1/2 doz clams and 1/2 doz mussels. 1/3 corn cob. I'm thinking some red potatoes as well.

    1. A cruise booking of 21 or plus days will get you the $300 in excursions pp, one wifi per person, 3 specialty restaurants etc. That's what we had for a single booking 21 day cruise in Dec 2023. We have an upcoming 21 night total cruise but it was booked as 7 day and 14 day segments (cheaper that way, same cabin on both) with different booking numbers. HIA is applied separately for each segment ie 7 day gets one restaurant, 14 day gets 2 restaurants if we want to add it on. If your 47 day cruise is built up of different segments on different booking numbers then the HIA rules should apply by segment and not the total 47 days.

  2. We did it on Rotterdam last Dec. DW loves seafood and it was good. They usually setup a section of the Lido in front of Canaletto and use the same kitchen. Kraft paper on tables, plastic bibs etc. Clam Chaaauuder, bucket of crab legs, clams, mussels, salmon, corn cob in a cream sauce. People were walking by, enjoying the aromas and trying to sit down. Thought it was part of the buffet. Already booked on our NS cruise out of Iceland in June.

Hi CT.  I'm sitting in the 'jammer overlooking the Dunes and I would say that certain holes would be easier to navigate while in a chair, but, overall the course is very small. Hopefully the attached photo provides scale.  After dinner, I'll take a photo of the rules and post that, as well.

    Thanks Steeler, most appreciated.

  4. Great blog Laurieal !

Lurking on this post as we are doing the Westbound OTS in Oct with our 35 ish son (manual chair). You were pretty brave at Disney. He thought Slinky Dog was pretty extreme. I'll see if he has any questions for you. We're doing Paris, Lucerne, Venice & Barcelona pre-cruise. Planes, trains & automobiles it is.

Really? You have to buy a ticket to participate in a game show? Hopefully you don’t have to buy one to watch them. 😁

Not like the Love & Marriage Show. Think Deal/No Deal game show which is just another form of Bingo. And you can watch it just like watching Bingo, no need to participate.

  6. Watch the advertised price of your upsell category and if goes below what you paid then take a screen shot. You can try and claim for double points then as you paid more than an "advertised" price for a suite. Worked for us.

  7. Sort of... When you get off the tender and walk up the covered entrance, turn left and go down the road 50 meters and take a right in the opening to enter the beach at the Large Cabana side. There will be next to no one there as they have the beach roped off from the main beach entrance due to exposed rock in the water and on the beach. Or maybe for turtle nests?

When we were there in Dec 2023 it was easy snorkeling to see a few sea turtles in the water near the Cabana feeding on the sea grass,

    It's not their 'P-status'  it's their personality,

Yes, it's the 2 sigmas on the normal distribution curve that are entertaining.

We were on a RCCL S2S in Vancouver last May, being escorted through the US Border Services and Check-in dog's breakfast by port staff (Our son uses a wheelchair). Got to a point where the lines merged and had a P screaming "they can't go first, we're pinnacle, we get to go first". Laughable for extra 10 second delay in boarding.

Vast majority of P's I have met have been personable and genuine in trying to improve cruising for all.

  9. I've seen it at the Dive In but hit or miss if they have it in stock. Don't remember seeing it on the Dutch Cafe menu though. Bitterballen for sure at the Dutch Cafe.

    Get the apple pie !
