  1. Hi Lauriael, Our DS would like to know if the Oasis Dunes are accessible//navigable. We were on Harmony just before Covid and had a ball up there.
  2. You'll have to do the math. If you have HAL cancellation insurance and add HIA they will increase your insurance contribution as well versus waiting until you get onboard to add HIA.
  3. Just like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame seems to be less about Rock these days. Just opening up the lounge for some alternative music. Kenny G, Snoop Dog, Katy Perry etc. Just let us know if BB King's changes its name also.
  4. Great blog Laurieal ! Lurking on this post as we are doing the Westbound OTS in Oct with our 35 ish son (manual chair). You were pretty brave at Disney. He thought Slinky Dog was pretty extreme. I'll see if he has any questions for you. We're doing Paris, Lucerne, Venice & Barcelona pre-cruise. Planes, trains & automobiles it is.
  5. B2B in FLL you have to get off and go through US Border Services. They have to zero out the ship before letting anyone on for the 2nd leg of the B2B.
  6. Aren't the deck 10 balconies on the small side? Not quite juliette balconies on deck 11, but close?
  7. Not like the Love & Marriage Show. Think Deal/No Deal game show which is just another form of Bingo. And you can watch it just like watching Bingo, no need to participate.
  8. Watch the advertised price of your upsell category and if goes below what you paid then take a screen shot. You can try and claim for double points then as you paid more than an "advertised" price for a suite. Worked for us.
  9. Sort of... When you get off the tender and walk up the covered entrance, turn left and go down the road 50 meters and take a right in the opening to enter the beach at the Large Cabana side. There will be next to no one there as they have the beach roped off from the main beach entrance due to exposed rock in the water and on the beach. Or maybe for turtle nests? When we were there in Dec 2023 it was easy snorkeling to see a few sea turtles in the water near the Cabana feeding on the sea grass,
  10. Yes, it's the 2 sigmas on the normal distribution curve that are entertaining. We were on a RCCL S2S in Vancouver last May, being escorted through the US Border Services and Check-in dog's breakfast by port staff (Our son uses a wheelchair). Got to a point where the lines merged and had a P screaming "they can't go first, we're pinnacle, we get to go first". Laughable for extra 10 second delay in boarding. Vast majority of P's I have met have been personable and genuine in trying to improve cruising for all.
  11. Go to the Postjana caves in Slovenia ! Amazing tour.
  12. I've seen it at the Dive In but hit or miss if they have it in stock. Don't remember seeing it on the Dutch Cafe menu though. Bitterballen for sure at the Dutch Cafe. Get the apple pie !
  13. Sugar free "Maple" syrup in the Lido for pancakes/french toast etc. You just have to ask for it. Plenty of Michelob Ultra low carb beer on board.
  14. Aruba ED-Card (Embarkation-Disembarkation Card) Not required for Cruise Ships visiting Aruba. Even if overnight, like we were there in Dec 2023 on Rotterdam.
  15. HIA, drinks that is, is not included on HMC. Therefore, stock up and bring your own drinks with you.
  16. The wine packages are packages of 4, 6, or 8 bottles at three different levels (Cellar No.1, No.2 or No.3). Each of the levels has a list of wines you can choose. The 4* mariner 50% discount is not on any bottle on the wine list in a bar or restaurants. You have to buy a "package" of bottles. You can then select from the level you bought, one at a time, or order them all at once and bring them to your room. You can bring glasses from your bottles to the Dining Room. Any unfinished bottles can be taken back to your cabin or they will hold it for you for the next night.
  17. Keying in on benefits for all in the cabin only - 50% off the wine packages
  18. And when Princess cancels an excursion on you, you get stiffed on the exchange rate through your CC. i.e. Without the bank exchange rate changing, you purchase a $100 USD excursion and your credit card in CAD is $140. A canceled excursion returns $100 USD but your credit card only returns $130. You lose $10. Not to mention the aggravation of having to find another excursion.
  19. Yep HIA excursion credits are "use it or lose it" including end of cruise transfers. No refund at end of cruise.
  20. Rare, but you can get double points from an upsell. We up-selled from a Verandah to SS on a 10 day So Caribe and then a couple of weeks before the cruise the advertised cost on the HAL site for an SS dropped to about $5 total less than our upsell price. We took a screen shot and saved it JIC. Post-cruise we sent the screen shot to HAL to get the double points honoured.
  21. Thanx but the Flight Ease web site sees I have a B2B with separate booking numbers and will only let me book the outgoing flight on the first leg, directing me to the other booking to complete the return leg. This causes flight pricing to assume a one way for each which is way more than double a multi-city booking (ie YOW to KEF and then CPH to YOW) on other booking sites. Has anybody had success getting this corrected on the web site or will I have to call Flight Eaze to work around the web site restrictions?
