I was on the Scarlet Lady May 12-17. I parked in garage G with no problem and no delay. I was glad to get off I-95.
I parked on level 3 at the very end of a row. My car was unblemished.

Not a luxury line like Crytsal, but all Cunard ships now have single cabins. Some on the QM2 are gorgeous. These are in the Britannia class, not the Grills.
Cunard ships have a certain refinement - and having traveled solo on both the QM2 and the Queen Elizabeth, I've never been disappointed. (Have 2 more Cunard cruises booked this year).
How do you find the Cunard single cabins. So far, all I see are high single supplements on Conard.

I checked the deck plans. Assuming that they have been updated since dry dock, it looks like they kept the launderette on Deck 6 (our deck) but I do not see a launderette anywhere else. I think that using the ship's laundry service is still the best bet.

ApolloBeach - have you taken a private water taxi from a cruise ship in Venice the past?
I have been to Venice many times and have travelled in Italy many times. I think we are on our own with our luggage. They may help you from the dock into the boat. That would be all you can expect.

If I get a private water taxi from our cruise ship to our hotel (hotel accessible only by water), will I have to drag luggage to the waiting private water taxi or will the water taxi driver help me?
I suspect you and your luggage are on your own. Pack lightly.

We are planning to take the Alilaguna.

We are tendering into Potofino.
I am thinking of taking the ferry westbound along the south coast to San Fruttuoso and then walking back.
Have you used the ferry from Portofino to San Fruttuoso ?
Thanks.
I never have but it looks like it would be a fun trip.

Our cruise lists Santa Margherita as the PORT. How long is the ferry ride from there to Portofino?
What other things would you combine in the area to make this a 5 hour day?
Check ferry schedules here:

I've always found that spending the day in and around Portofino was enough. -
I've never walked the road and am not sure you can walk the road. I've always taken the ferry.
-
I have been to Portofino many times. You can easily "tour" this very small town on your own. Things to do - walk, browse the shops, visit a restaurant, have a coffee and a beer. You can easily walk up to Santa Margherita.

I am one that feels the expense of a water taxi is worth it for the ease with luggage.
Last time we ran into strikes when neither vaporettos nor alilaguna were running. After standing outside waiting in the rain for near an hour at an stop where they were supposed to be running😟.
A private sunrise water taxi trip to the airport is one of our fondest memories of Venice.
Ifyou are flying out of Venice be there three hours ahead as it can be very congested. The alilaguna is incredibly slow unless you are on the north side nearest the airport.
Good recommendation. I have booked a shared taxi on Viator based on your recommendation.

What does one do if one does have mobility problems??

Your cruise line should be able to answer this.

I highly recommend a water taxi to the airport in spite of the cost. It will take less half the time. Ask your hotel concierge if anyone else is going at the same time. That would cut your cost in half
This is an option I'll investigate once we're at our hotel.

This link has written instructions on how to reach the Hotel from the Alilaguna stop. A video as well.

I saw this several days ago and printed the directions.

Even better. Yes, 1:20 from San Marco - we did once take the Waters Bus from Ospedale - missed the 'bus' at San Marco - 20 minutes walk from San Marco - then it was only 40 minutes to airport - might be too long with luggage after a cruise.
Enjoy Venice. Don't miss a Traghetto ride across the canal.
I'll have to check with my grandson but chances are he will want to do this.
We have booked the Hotel Flora - it's more expensive than other hotels but I figured since it is the end of our trip, we could splurge. However, do you know this hotel and what is your opinion of it? Do you recommend a different hotel? -

My preferred way of travel - just remember that it will take 1 hour 45 minutes. Alilaguna stop is next to the cruise terminal
We won't go directly to the airport as we're staying in Venice for two days.
We'll take the Alilaguna to our hotel (near San Marco) and from our hotel to the airport. Our flight leaves at 11:00 so we'll need to catch an early shuttle. The Alilaguna should take about 1 hour 20 minutes to get to the airport from San Marco. -

Never seen porters available to help
and with a disabled husband I looked for them!
Fortunately, I am very healthy and will be accompanied by my 15 year old grandson. We won't need a porter (whew!)

Thanks. I have pretty much decided to take an Alilaguna.

Good information on transportation from the port and a great map:

Here is a map of the cruise port:
http://cruiseportwiki.com/Venice
As long as you're not carrying lots of luggage, the walk doesn't look too bad. I have seen comments that the walk is a fairly long one. However, they probably have porters if you need help. -

Looks like this will work for getting around Venice and to our hotel from the port and to the airport from our hotel:
https://www.alilaguna.it
Public transit with great prices. Should be fun too. -
I am also considering a water taxi or a vaporetto (public transport and much less expensive). Have you looked at Venice Link?
https://www.venicelink.com/en
They have links for shuttles to/from the airport and the cruise terminal:

I'll be in Venice in July. -

I made a reservation with the HOHO bus in kotor and was able to get onboard right at Port, it was a great value for 20€ and very educational. The price included Evans to a museum in Perast. We took a boat to our Lady of the Rock church (not included in price) and spent time swimming in one the the local beaches! It was amazing and the views coming in to Port and driving around were amazing!

I just booked the HOHO tour for Kotor. Thanks for making me aware of this great option.

I-95 was very busy from about 25 miles or so north of Miami to the cruise port. I used the express lanes because the regular lanes were stop and go.
