Ok I am not sure how my TA did this but I had two Princess future certificates and both were applied to the same cruise. You can also use two or more on Norwegian and on Royal because I have done two on both cruise lines.

 

Maybe I am just lucky or my TA works miracles.

Are there two of you ? If so, then you can use two certificates.

You can only get OBC based on using one FCD per person per cruise, but there are other ways to get more OBC.

Such as (other than Princess having an advertised promotion).

Yes you can use whatever TA you want and transfer the booking.

We never book onboard. We just buy the FCD's and book when we get home.

The cruise we're looking at is quickly selling out in the category and location we want so I want to book it while we're onboard (2 weeks from now). So I will have to use the FCD at the time I book it with the Princess rep. Will this matter so far as my looking for a better rate after I get home and transfer the reservation to a travel agent?

Thanks so much for all the prompt responses. I have one more question. If I book a future cruise with the onboard Princess rep. can I then shop around with travel agents and get a better price and then transfer the reservation to that agent, or am I stuck with the price given by the onboard rep ?

Has anyone used the Onboard Future Cruise Sales program whereby you purchase a $100 deposit for a future cruise and you get an onboard credit on that future cruise? I have a question. Can I purchase, say, five $100 deposits and apply them to ONE future cruise and get 5 times the onboard credit?

We will be in a full suite on the Crown in January. Does anyone have recent experience with the DVD player in the suite - is it one that we can use to play our own DVD's or is it just a video on demand system like we had in a full suite on the Sapphire Princess last year?

Is it customary to tip the porters at Tianjin who take your checked luggage and load it on the ship?

We will be sailing on the Diamond Princess in the Orient. Princess has provided a satellite phone number(a 900 #) for us to be contacted in the event of any emergencies at home. However, they say calls will only be received from 8am-12n and 4p-8p ship time. During most of thoise times we will either be on shore excursions or at dinner !! Does anyone know if there is a voicve-mail system on the Diamond so a message can be left in the cabin (like in a hotel)? Does anyone know if one can make calls FROM the ship to home at any time or is it restricted to these hours also?
